Lovely, we will be back. Thank you for looking after us so well.

The staff were super friendly and could not do enough to make our weekend special. We booked afternoon tea and that was really nice too, plenty to go round and really tasty. There was a bus stop just over the road that we used to get into town during the day and the hotel staff were kind enough to book a cab for us for the evening, which worked really well. Plenty of on site parking too.

A lovely stay in a beautiful and peaceful hotel - great staff and meals.

Communication was excellent and staff were really nice and professional. The room we had (Sorrel) was beautiful and very quiet / peaceful facing the rear of the hotel. The breakfast was also lovely with huge choice and very well cooked and presented. Parking was excellent.

Lovely hotel in peaceful location - great parking and breakfast and excellent staff.

Location is very quiet and staff are excellent. Parking is really good and breakfast is superb.

Having visited before we found an excuse to re-book and asked for a specific room the request for which was acknowledged and confirmed. Upon arrival however a different room was allocated (Thyme) which, whilst a lovely room, unfortunately had a strong damp smell just inside the door. It wouldn’t put us off visiting again as the pros far outweighed the cons and hopefully the hotel will sort the problem with that room.

Did the job but without a wow as far as accommodation was concerned.

Great location, close to main A roads. Ideal for where I was working. Staff were friendly and attentive, willing to go the extra mile. Food was excellent. Wild mushroom risotto was a delight!! 10/10 for food and staff.

Decor dated, bed not particularly comfortable - Seemed to be two singles of differing heights pushed together. Room not very warm either.

This hotel is superb, the restaurant is top notch and the staff were extremely nice and helpful.

i booked three room for myself and family and all of them were lovely, lots of space, comfortable bed and everything we needed for a great stay.

Helpful employees - being able to bring family members to visit with little notice - being able to get service for same virtually immediately

Comfortable and enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel with friendly staff

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and evening meal, ample parking. Clean, comfortable and spacious room.

Carpets and door mats in entrance hall were dirty and did not create a good first impression, as was the stair carpet. However, everywhere else was very clean.

A great stay, very comfortable room and delicious food

Lovely building and really good sized rooms. Decor is a little dated in places but sort of adds to its charm. Staff are just lovely. Breakfast was delicious as was evening meal.

Signage was poor, it was very overgrown and we actually drove past twice as the hotel lies behind a lot of greenery.

Wonderful staff,we had an excellent breakfast every morning which was cooked to order. Lovely size room and very clean.

The only fault we can think of, was the music being played in the dining room whilst eating our breakfast, it was a bit depressing (classic fm).

The staff, service and quality of food were all first class. Grounds were lovely and the hotel is well situated for getting about Norfolk.

Being old the hotel could do with some updating. I'm not sure it's going to happen but this shortcoming is balanced by the exceptional service and food.

Staff and food were excellent

We didn't like having a room in the attic having to climb so many stairs. The bathroom is connected to another room although locked you could hear conversation through the wall. No fault of hotel but surrounded by houses. From the website we thought it would be more remote. Road and aeroplane noise.

Lovely peaceful character hotel with warm hospitality.

Very warm and welcoming staff, lovely character room with four poster bed and excellent breakfast and dinner. It was very quiet and peaceful on Sunday Monday and Tuesday stay.

A pleasant and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

The food was exceptional. The dining room was very pleasant. Our bedroom was large and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and polite. There was plenty car parking. Good Wifi.

We didn't really dislike these following points we just thought it would make a difference if they were improved. There wasn't a designated reception area, bedroom keys were held in the kitchen. The bar stock could've been more comprehensive (e.g. there was only one choice of tonic water), minor point I know!

Old world charm. English breakfasts are the gold standard.

Wish we'd found this gem while we had our boat on the Broads.

The receptionist was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food at dinner was delicious. The poached eggs at breakfast were cooked perfectly.

The outside light was very bright in the bedroom until it went out about midnight.
