This place is a classic. It's location is perfect. It's one of the first hotels in Puerto Vallarta and is located thusly - right at the beginning of El Malecón. It's a lovely hotel for the price and you'll actually feel like you're in México. I booked through Booking.com and got a free upgrade to ocean view for a great price.
It's not the most modern hotel, but that is half it's charm. Also, that fact is reflected in the price of the room. No real complaints from me.

The authenticity of the location and the people were so beautiful. We went to the Marriott afterwards, but we kind of missed Hotel Rosita because of the beauty.  Hotel Rosita also is close to all of the shopping and restaurants and mariachi, bands, etc..
The beds for a little bit stiff for me, but that is a personal preference.

Love the Hotel employees are always nice, However room was in the corner, smelt musty, very small. Got home and our cloths smelt musty

The location and our room after we upgraded and paid the extra 1500.00 pesos.
When booking with booking.com we thought we booked a room with a balcony, but this was not the case. The room was facing the street with only a window. So we asked to see one with a balcony and had to pay an extra $1500.00 pesos MX. It took us an hour to check in with the confusion. They told us we had to contact booking.com and correct this.
I believe booking.com should know more details about the hotels they book.

The location and view were spectacular
My friend who visited (and was the bride to our bridal party who were all staying there because of) was treated rudely and dismissively by staff.
The breakfast also took over an hour to be served each morning.
