Ein paar herliche Tage in St. Kilda, die durch diese Unterkunft noch verschönert wurden

Die komplette Unterkunft ist ein Traum. Prue als Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit. Wenn es möglich wäre, müsste man hier 10 Punkte vergeben. Alles ist einfach unglaublich. Sauberkeit, vollständig eingeräumte und ausgestattete Küche und das I- Tüpfelchen ist die Lage. Endhaltestelle der Tram 96 ist 50 m entfern in der schönsten Ecke von St. Kilda Eine Gaststätte und Bar reihen sich aneinander.

schnuckelige Unterkunft in St.Kilda, etwas außerhalb der Stadt

Die Unterkunft ist schnuckelig. Ein kleines Cottage in dem alles ist, was man braucht. Wir sind mit zwei Kindern gereist und uns wurde zusätzlich zum Sofa (nur für eine Person geeignet), noch eine Matratze zur Verfügung gestellt. Das ging sich alles aus. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und man hat einen Tisch drinnen und einen draußen, wo man gemütlich essen kann. Infomaterial zu Ausflugszielen ist auch da. Ein Stadtstrand ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen - der ist ok aber es gibt schönere in der Umgebung, die man mit dem Auto erreichen kann. Auch eine nette kleine Einkaufsstraße ist in der Nähe, sowie eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle. So kommt man auch ohne Auto gut in die Stadt. Supermarkt gleich über die Straße und genug Möglichkeiten zum Essen ganz nah.

Das Cottage ist in einem versteckten Hinterhof, der sehr nett und grün gestaltet ist, der Zugang ist jedoch wenig ansprechend. Auf einer eher etwas lauten und nicht sehr ansprechenden Straße hinter einer Metalltür versteckt. Auch wenn die Umgebung sonst ganz nett ist, fand ich diese Straße eher unangehem und war froh die Türe hinter mit zu schließen.

A beautiful hidden gem!

Everything! The location was perfect - so close to tram for city centre, opposite great supermarket, restaurants and other shops, comfortable and excellently equipped if you wanted to cook in, secure, cosy and very easy communication with Prue, the host. We stayed 4 days and I could have happily stayed longer - it was beautifully furnished and a real hidden oasis of calm behind the street door.

The best, I felt relaxed and well catered for. Host was very friendly.

Fabulous, close to all amenities that I needed.

Maybe a newer TV with alternatives to free to air. ABCiview or SBS would be a bonus. 🙂

Great host in great location

Our host Prue went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met, even when these became more than normal. Thanks Prue. The facility was perfect for our needs, and being located in the St Kilda cbd made access to services so easy, which proved very valuable. The cottage was surrounded by gardens which made it feel very peaceful and quiet.

Very lovely stay. Would recommend. Minutes to beach and shops/restaurants. Easy access to CBD.

The cottage is extremely cute and the host Prue is lovely. She answered my inquiries promptly and took time to show me everything I needed to know about the place. Very clean and the layout is great. Kitchen amenities were very nice to have. The location is nice as well. Close to shops and restaurants and the tram, but the best bonus is that it's a five minute walk to the beach!

Superb

Hidden away from the bustle of St Kilda. A comfortable place for a short stay with its own small garden and decking area. Basic kitchen but everything you probably need if you are mostly eating out. Very convenient for the trams to Melbourne.

Difficult to find so ensure you have full instructions before arriving.

Great location, great host!

we really loved the location to get to places in south east Melbourne and the CBD. Loved to cook ourselves, Coles is right across the street. Prue is key, really lovely, made a really early checkin possible. Loved the Possums who chased across the roof at night, even though the sound is strange at first.

The bathroom is a bit tiny but still offers sufficient space. The bed was a bit small for three but we managed. Due to poor weather, we had to switch on the heating which took some time.

fabulous, comfortable stay.

It’s a hidden haven in a busy street. the busy street is close to all shops, bars and restaurants - so very convenient. The accommodation is nestled in a lovely quiet garden.. the noisiest neighbour was the possum! Prue was incredibly welcoming and ensured we were very comfortable. A wonderful find and we will return.

A gem of a find.

Fantastic! A home from home- comfortable, very clean and great facilities. Great location with the tram into the city being a minute’s walk away. Prue was a fantastic host with friendly helpful communication throughout, and even afterwards as she posted sandals to me that I had left behind. A gem of a find and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Hidden gem in Melbourne’s St Kilda

The cottage is tucked away from the main road so no noise can’t be heard from there, still it’s in the middle of everything. St Kilda is a very cool part of Melbourne and there’s some fantastic restaurants & bars (try «Lady of St Kilda» for dinner) all around. A direct tram (no 96) goes directly to Southern Cross Station (which takes 23 min to get there), some more trams and buses drive regularly to the city centre.

We couldn’t close our eyes for a long time on Saturday night/Sunday morning as a party was going on in the neighborhood. It was the first accommodation on our trip around Australia without a washing machine/dryer; still no big deal as there’s some good laundries close-by.

A quiet, comfortable apartment in a fantastic location. Will definitely return.

Self catering apartment. Location is fabulous. Right in the heart of the St Kilda - Acland Street district. Very quiet, Very private, Very secure. Walk to dozens of cafe/restuarants. Tram is 2 minute walk. Very friendly and helpful host.

Ensuite was a little small - but OK Floor had a loud squeak - which was a little annoying when you got out of bed at night - but this was a minor niggle.

Go hear each year for my Birthday to relax, eat and drink.

The property is centrally located to Ackland st, St Kilda. It is surrounded with cafe's, restaurants, coles, woolworths and all other shops you might require. Easy access to the CBD via trams and buses .Very quiet and plenty to do. We love walking and get around on foot. The host also supplied MYKI cards to use for public transport and you just put how much you think you will use on card which can be done via your phone.

There is no coffee machine, but you step outside and plenty of choices to have coffee.

Little slice of heaven in St Kilda

Prue’s little garden cottage is truly an incredible find in St Kilda. You feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city once you step off the street into the property. The cottage was clean, well stocked and spacious for our stay. Prue couldn’t have been more accommodating for us in many different ways. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning in the future.
