This was like an oasis in Porto Ercole - the most wonderful picturesque view from the hotel and it overview of the sea. the hotel graduated down the rockface and was a stunning location . We had our own room separated on the property with our own terrace. The Pool area was beautiful as well as the sea area. Staff were amazingly attentive and the two restaurants were stunning with great food in both.
We absolutely loved this hotel and would come back agaIN
The sun beds at the pool did not have cushions and were uncomfortable - could do with some really nice cushioned beds!

Our room had noise all night which the staff acknowledged and kindly offered a discount. Was just disappointing that a very special night was ruined!

After a great relaxing stay, Il Pellicano still maintains a very high standard all round, every time. It evokes a Chic, special place to relax and induldge in all it has to offer. A fantastic bar headed up by Frederico Morosi, Pelligrill and the Pellicano restaurant's offer a choice of quality food as well as superb breakfast. With an excellent choice of wines, the staff are very helpful, very professional, and first class.

The views from the restaurant and ocean were beautiful.
The food was mediocre at best. The staff was very rude, arrogant and unhelpful / lazy. The meal at the Michelin restaurant was bland and certainly didn’t deserve a Michelin star. The server was arrogant and us (and many other guests) were pouring our own water and wine. Our bedroom was located directly above the kitchen and you could hear the staff moving furniture and doing dishes until well after midnight; at 7am the noises resumed for breakfast. Not as luxurious an experience as it appears.

very special and secluded hotel
unfortunately only there a night. and weather turned foul. Unable to use the pool or beach area in the morning as very windy

Beautiful grounds, pool and sea access
For the amount of money charged, the customer care was not superb. Coffee machine in room was broken. They said it was reported and would be fixed and heard nothing else. Food options fairly limited.

Amazing hotel! Stunning location. Staff went above and beyond.
The food was not as good as we thought it would be.

We spent two wonderful nights here for our ‘mini moon’ after our wedding in Siena. After wanting to visit for the longest time we were so happy to have finally made it. The property is absolutely exquisite, everything is spotlessly clean and the grounds are beautiful.
Every single encounter we had from gardeners, concierge, restaurant and bar staff were first class. This hotel and staff should be used as an example to all other hotels on how to run a business. We’ve been very fortunate to have stayed at some renowned hotels over the years and this experience was beyond any we’ve ever had. We honestly couldn’t fault a single thing.
The breakfast is fantastic, we loved the small touches from the Pelli post in the mornings to the olive oil and biscotti kindly left in our room. We dined at the Pelli Grill both nights as we wanted something more relaxed after a busy week with our wedding and loved the food. The sommeliers were extremely knowledgable and really showed passion when discussing the wines they had on offer.
Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and we drifted off to sleep every night feeling like we were on a cloud!
We spent both days at the beach club which gives Capri/Amalfi a run for its money! The sunbeds were so comfortable and the service from the staff was fantastic.
I keep mentioning the staff because they really are the heart and soul of this hotel. Yes the grounds are beautiful but the staff are really what make this place so special. No request is ever too much, they remembered our names and were always so welcoming every time we spoke to someone new.
If you are considering booking this wonderful haven please just do it. We are already planning our next visit albeit this time a longer trip!
Nothing! Couldn’t fault a single thing

This hotel is exceptional in every way. The staff are incredible - so attentive to your every need in a way that’s also relaxed and not “too much”. They all have genuine care and passion for making your stay as memorable as possible. Breakfast with the view is out of this world. We were celebrating our honeymoon at il pelicano and the staff went out of their way to make it feel special for us on arrival which was hugely appreciated. we will be talking about / dreaming of Il Pelicano for a long time to come and already can’t wait to come back.

The breakfast was very good however we would of appreciated staff letting us know of hot options early on..
We had to ask to change rooms because we felt first room was not safe for us since it had a step up tub area too close to bathroom door and we thought it might cause us to trip or fall.. We loved the ambiance and grounds!
