Nestled in Indiana, this lovely cabin for $267 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Welcome to the beautiful Sonshine Cabin, Conveniently located to hwy 421 Close to Madison ,Versailles and Friendship. The cabin is located on 15 ac and offers peace and quite. With 1800 sq of living space which includes a fully equipped completely renovated kitchen to prepare meals. Enjoy your meals on a custom built table in the dining area. On the back deck you can enjoy grilling on a Blackstone grill with outdoor seating. On the main level is the great room with a stone fireplace. There is plenty of seating with a big leather sectional, a sleeper sofa and a Amish rocking chair to relax. Make your way up the stairs, you will notice the beautiful handmade cedar railings. Upstairs you will find 3 private bedrooms all with Queen beds. We also have a toddler bed and provide a pack n play for smaller children. There is 1 full bath upstairs and a half bath on the main level. One of the favorite places is the front porch with seating to watch the wildlife! It is a short walk to a beautiful creek to offer hours of fun for the kids. You can also enjoy roasting Hotdogs and s’mores at the fire pit or pitch some horseshoes. If you are looking for a peaceful park like setting then Sonshine cabin is for you. We have recently added a security camera. It is on the outside of the cabin. There are no cameras inside the cabin. We respect your privacy and added the camera for security only. The cabin is located in a private area and we felt the camera would give guests additional peace of mind.

We had a wonderful rainy weekend at rhe Sonshine Cabin. It was so clean and comfortable. We loved having the fireplace. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. We were surrounded by nature and enjoyed the trail to the creek. Our hostess, Jackie was always available to answer our questions as well as being so kind. We will definitely be returning.

We visiting Sonshine over the fall time, and it was the perfect time of year for a nice stay! The changing colors of the trees set the perfect backdrop to a lovely cabin. Our family enjoyed bonfires, hiking in the woods, walking down the creek, and visiting the town of Madison. The hosts were very communicative and made every effort to make sure our stay was a comfortable one! The cabin was even decorated nicely with fall themed decorations and flowers. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

Great property manager with prompt polite responses. The property is way better than the ad/description conveys. Absolutely would return with my family. We just didn’t want to leave when the time came but the property manager did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as it could be!

We had a lovely time and highly recommend this cabin and the hosts. They stopped by to see how we were doing and came back with armloads of vegetables from their garden. The hummingbird feeders on the front porch were constantly entertaining. We took most of our meals on the patio in the back. The woods are lovely and have beautiful hiking trails. We had no children, but there was a safety gate at the top of the staircase and a small bed tucked in an alcove in one of the bedrooms. Highly recommend both the cabin and the hosts.

We were 3 couples on a fun weekend getaway and the Sonshine cabin was just right for all 6 of us. There is plenty of room inside and out. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms worked out great. Thankful for the Blackstone as we cooked several meals on it. The kitchen has everything needed. The front porch and back patio, both great spots for morning coffee. A great firepit for smores. The walk to and through the creek were so fun to explore. Enjoyed the fun games around the yard and the walk around the field as we tried to determine where Mr. turkey was coming out to explore as were we. Vevay & Madison were within a ½ hour drive and had lots of restaurants and fun things to check out and do. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and really friendly. We would stay again if we are ever in the area. If you plan to be, definitely stay at the Sonshine cabin!

I almost don’t want to write this review because I don’t want other people to find this amazing place stuck in the middle of nowhere. My family had an amazing time. Sitting on the front porch in the morning listening to the rolling thunder and getting to see a bunch of hummingbirds come right to the porch to eat and play is one of my fondest moments. The town of Madison is only 20 minutes away and full of awesome shops and bars to pick from. We are already planning our return for this year!! My wife and I agreed that this will be a yearly vacation for us most likely for the rest of our lives! Thanks Jackie and Greg so much for building such an impressive home just to share with other people! You will not be disappointed with your stay at the The Sonshine Cabin!

The property met our needs for our stay. Overall clean and lots of things to do on the property which we didn't have the time to do much of. Would have been perfect if there was a washer and dryer for our stay but that does not hinder the overall satisfaction. Can tell the property is well taken care of and the decorations were nice. Lots of hummingbirds and turkeys to watch during our stay. I would stay again.

We enjoyed all of the cabin very much! It was very clean and had everything we needed and more. The kids loved the creek, bikes, firepit, deck for eating our supper, porch, and all of the wildlife! We enjoyed watching the turkeys and the kids thought they were funny to watch. We visited Madison and visited The Ark Encounter. One of our best trips yet. Hoping to come back again some time!

My family of 9 stayed here for 6 nights from July 10th through the 16th and we couldn't have been any happier. Everything was so wonderful. Jackie was so nice! We love sitting on the porch watching all the humming birds. They provided so many things that you didn't have to go to the store and buy. The kids loved going down to the creek. It was just a great relaxing time. We will definetely be back😃

I’ve stayed here twice and both times was great. Cabin is super clean, beds are comfy and well stocked with towels, linens and kitchen needs. The property is very well maintained. I love the seclusion of the cabin. Host was very easy to communicate with. I’d gladly stay here again if in the area. Highly recommend!

This cabin is so comfortable and peaceful. Our family loved walking the trail to the creek, sitting by the fire pit and soaking up the country air. Owner is very friendly and extremely helpful. The cabin is just a few miles from town, easy to find shopping and restaurants. I absolutely would recommend.

It was even more than we could’ve imagined! The cabin was stocked with everything you would ever need. The decor was simply gorgeous!! Loved the walking trail to the creek & watching wildlife pass through!! There were hummingbirds & other birds coming to the porch to eat! Best stay ever, we will be back! This cabin was beyond my expectations. The photos really do represent the cabin itself well, but the owners have gone above and beyond to make you feel at home. Starting with the welcoming communications from Jackie to the very well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. The supplies in the kitchen made it easy to stay a few days and enjoy cooking with all the pots and pans and even an assortment of spices. There are many outdoor spaces to enjoy too, but the front porch watching the hummingbirds, enjoying nature and relaxing was my favorite. I would definitely recommend and plan to visit again. This past weekend was one of the best that our friend group has had. The Sonshine Cabin was so nicely stocked that we didn’t “need” anything. The decor was so sweet. And, the open floor plan on the main door made it very easy for each of us to find our own spot while enjoying the company of others. We liked it so much that we will most probably be @repeat customers “ next spring.

Wonderful cabin! Beautifully furnished, perfect for a large family or multiple couples. Three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, spacious family room, kitchen, and dining downstairs. Also a green room with lots of light between the main house and the garage. Very turnkey and well stocked, had everything we could have wanted or needed. From dishes, spices, cutlery, coffee, to walking sticks, to wood and fire starting supplies for the fireplace in the family room and fire pit out back. Also a rockstone gas griddle with grill utensils. Lots to do, trail down to the creek, hammock, horseshoes, big tree swing, board games, movies, and good internet. Lovely covered porch has a bench swing fantastic views. Great sunset and we saw deer in the field across the road.

My family really enjoyed this cabin. We came in the fall and just fell in love with the creek on the property, surrounding farmland and beautiful leaves. The cabin was spotless and had very comfortable beds and linens. Wood for the fireplace was provided, and the grill was fun to cook on. Jackie went above and beyond to make our stay great too. You can’t ask for much more!

We had a lovely stay at Sonshine Cabin. Our experience exceeded our expectations. All of our kids said they had a good time and wish they could have stayed longer. I love that each bedroom had a different theme; bear, fox and deer. it was clean, well decorated and stocked with essentials. Fast and easy communication with Jackie. This was our second stay here and we plan on many more. The cabin/property is perfect for our family. Our boys love the freedom of having a huge, safe yard to play in and explore, as well as the woods/creek behind. Great, secluded cabin to rest and relax in. Love the fire pit and the Blackstone!! Threw in a visit to Clifty Falls State Park this time. Highly recommend a stay here. Great place w/ great owners!
