Very good

Perfect bathroom, nice bed. And as a Viennese guy I can say it is really authentic.

The garbage can wasn't empty at my arrival, and the personnel did not speak English or only a few words. Miniature Shampoo bootle was used.

Class hotel, reasonable price, perfect location

Hotel was right at the centre of Tirana. Beautifully decorated, the paintings on the walls are class act. The bathroom was splendid. The receptionist, Bianca, was very helpful. I would recommend Hotel Austria to anyone, who is staying in Tirana.

Good

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was average, typical continental breakfast. We were assisted to find parking and park our vehicles, so that worked well.

Hotel is difficult to find. Parking entrance is difficult to find. Quite some walking to the restaurants main area, although there were some restaurants nearby. In the hotel restaurant was allowed to smoke and for me as non-smoker it was not pleasant.

We only can strongly recommend this hotel.

Whole staff was very friendly. Hotel Austria is very close to the centre of Tirana but located in a surprisingly quiet street. Rich breakfast was ready early in the morning. Not far away we go recommended to eat in a small underground restaurant called Shije Fshati

There is nothing to complain from our side.

Great location. Good variety of products for breakfast

The venue itself is rather kitschy. So when you have to work its better to go to the ground floor bar rather then staying in the room. (You are overwhelmed with all of fale paintings and intense colours). Morover on my room there was no actual place to work...

Great stay overall

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Exquisite decoration. The location is great. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room was large and comfortable.

An expensive mistake

The breakfast was a great let down. For example, there were fried eggs and omelettes, which were prepared and left on trays, so by the time one arrived they were already cold and relatively inedible. The rest of the stuff on offer was not particularly enticing. The bread was good, while there were also a variety of jams, and honey. Generally though nothing to write home about. In addition the first morning, I requested an expresso, which was brought to me. The next day, they said that no espresso was on offer.

Although staff was pleasant, the advice given was not always correct while communication was not easy. In addition, my room had not been cleaned by lunch time the next day, despite the fact that I had not left a "do not disturb" sign. I was told, I should have left the "make my room" sign! In a 4-star hotel one would expect that rooms are cleaned daily without having to ask for it. I also had a pair of trousers that needed cleaning and was told that the trousers would be available the next day only to be told the next day that this would not be the case. Luckily I retrieved the trousers without cleaning but at last they had not been sent somewhere where they could not be retrieved before my departure. The café shop in the hotel did not offer any food, not even sandwiches. In addition to everything else, to add insult to injury, I paid about 30% more by having booked through Booking.com instead of with the hotel directly.
