Iceland is a beautiful country and this location was perfect to see everything in the city by walking.

Location excellent, owner excellent and communication with emails excellent, cleanliness excellent, close to everything and very quiet.

Everything was fine for us. But if a person had a hip problem or was really tall or really wide they would have difficulty accessing the bathroom/shower in room 3. So make sure you let the owner know if you fit in these categories.

Useful to explore the city

Friendly staff, great central location. Shared kitchen very useful.

Smallest bathroom ever, essentially a wardrobe with a shower inside. But it works!

Jon was an excellent host. He went out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable. The locations is perfect. It is very close to the city center without the noise. The unit was clean and had fresh coffee and tea available. The bathroom was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely return.

GREAT location and atmosphere

The Butterfly Guesthouse was in a fantastic location in Reykjavik and was easily accessible. It had a nice homey feel and we really felt welcomed. Jon was a fantastic and responsive host.

The pillows were a little flat and the room was a bit small

Superb

My stay was very comfortable. Clean, quiet, and close to the conference center Harpa. There was free wifi and light breakfast available in the kitchen . Most importantly, Jon was very friendly, helpful and very kind.

Better then expected - cozy and real character. Location literally a block from harbor center.

Great natural light on top floor with balcony and views to the mountains across the water. Kitchen was just perfect. Would definitely book again.

Black out curtains would make it better to ward off the midnight sun.

When I go back to Iceland I will book there again and I would highly recommend it to my friends.

The owner, Jon could not be more helpful and friendly. Our room was a nice size and had a large desk/table allowing me and my daughter to use our computer to schedule things to do and spread our things out. The location was perfect! Within walking distance of the main downtown area.....Highly recommend the Butterfly!

I wish we had booked a longer stay there. There was nothing we did not like. There were blackout curtains and plenty of parking. Everything was great.

Perfect location- walking distance to restaurants and museums. Jon the owner let us check in early, called a taxi for us. Super helpful. We didn’t want to leave- cozy space.

Whenever we were in the house, it was a really nice part of our Iceland experience.

The house was lovely and welcoming. Most important, Jon, the owner/manager, was a wealth of information and eager to share ideas. We met a number of other guests while there, who all seemed to share the belief that talking with others in the house was a good idea! No one lingered long, as all were there to explore, but it was welcoming vs silent. Old harbor, which had a number of restaurants, was just a couple of blocks away.

I have nothing to dislike.

Great choice for exploring Reykjavik

Friendly host, lots of food and hospitality in the kitchen. Slippers for guests! Great location within walking distance of Old Town and waterfront.

The beds were a little hard but that's just a matter of taste.
