The flat was perfect, as we expected and very well located in the heart of paceville. Paul was very quick to contact us when we needed him. I would recommend this flat without hesitation.

Great place to explore Malta
We were a group of 10 but then numbers dropped down to 6. Paul was very helpful and arranged a partial cash refund upon arrival. We found that the sofa beds for the other 4 people, if they had come with us, were not the most comfortable and there were no curtains to block out early morning light in these sleeping areas. Perhaps this is something that could be added? Yes, 10 people can definitely sleep here but less comfort and privacy for 4.
The hot tub was great, in this hot weather (33-38 degrees) we found that we didn't need to heat it up for very long (maybe 2 hours) to get it to a good temp. On the first day it wasn't working, but Paul came out quickly on a Sunday evening to fix it for us.
From other reviews we thought it would be better quiet in the garden. Daily you can hear music from a bar nearby, and in the evenings you can hear people in a bar above you. But, the surrounding walls are high and you can only hear it when outside. We found it added to the holiday feel, but it did start up around 9am which may not suit everyone. Inside is fine, can't hear anything.
The location is great, 1-5 minute walk to anything useful (various supermarkets, ATM's, clubs, beach, buses).
The apartment itself is beautiful and has lots of things that you need. Remember to turn on the shower buttons early if you want showers, even cold ones - this controls the heat but also water pressure, which we didn't realise.
Very helpful host, has a good network of people to assist in your needs. Really enjoyed ourselves once we settled in and started to discover Malta!

Excellent large apartment in great location
We had a fantastic week in this very large two bedroom apartment. It is on the doorstep of the Paceville entertainment zone but was amazingly quiet. It is also close walking distance to the beach and to the outstanding St Julian’s Bay promenade. The apartment is very well equipped with great sea views and the added benefit of a parking space. Highly recommended.

Paul is the best host you could ever want. Always returning your requests very quickly, and very helpfull when staying there.
The apartment is 2 min. from bars and restaurant and 2 minutes from the beach. Beach is not stunning but very good and sandy. The area is very partylike but you can't hear anything when you are at the apartment. if you walk 5-10 minutes it is more quiet. 2 supermarkets ( with fresh bread ) within 2 minutes walk. Everything you need is in this spacious apartment. We were 9 adults and it never felt crowdy.

Paul suggested this apartment of his as it was close to where we wanted to stay.
Well we we're overwhelmed when we arrived. The apartment was so spacious and well equipped with more than enough room for the 4 of us.
The apartment is situated right in the heart of the 'party capital' Paceville but despite this we did not hear a sound at night (we have 2 small children so weren't there for the party atmosphere).
The rear patio area is a real suntrap and great for sunbathing and quietly reading a book.
The apartment looks out over the bay, but there was building work going on when we stayed so this may have changed.
There is a hot tub available but we found it took a very long time to warm up and therefore used a lot of electric.
The apartment is in walking distance of the main bus route which enables you to explore the entire island on the public transport.
We would return to Malta and stay in one of Paul's apartments again.

Great Apartment, Host, & Location
Stayed last week with 4 of my girlfriends. We all were very impressed with the apartment. It is in a great location for nightlife and restaurants - although we used the kitchen a lot as there are a few grocery stores a couple minute walk away. Also we had a car rented and found it a quick drive to Gozo ferry and Valletta from this location. Paul was a great host and available to answer any queries. If using the jacuzzi I recommend turning it on and heating upon your arrival, as we left it until too late and were not able to use. We had an excellent time in Malta and looked forward to returning to the apartment to relax after out exploring for the day!

Excellent Host
This was our first visit to Malta and had no idea where to stay so we trolled through the many sites till we came across Home -Away .we narrowed our choice down to a few apartments that would suite us .We contacted Paul about 804890 but was informed it was booked ,he did suggest another apartment in Spinola Bay that may suite our needs better as we are both seniors and did not want to end up in a rowdy area he sent us details of a Luxury 2 bed called Silver in a modern complex on the 5th floor overlooking the bay and was assured it would fit our needs .We had a bad experience last year on a holiday booking and where very cautious in making sure it was right for us ,all through the process Paul kept in touch assuring us of his credentials and sent us many photos of the place offered .In the end we sent off our deposit and during this time we received reassuring emails .We where met at the airport by Paul's driver and taken the 30 min drive to the apartment as we approached the place it was close to midnight our apprehension grew as it was not what we though it would be like old buildings surrounding us but our fears where soon unfounded when we where meet by Paul's son outside and showed us into this modern marble clad block up to the 5th floor we entered this fabulous apartment with all mod cons and a spectacular view from the balcony looking into the bay .We where given a tour of the place and shown where everything was and when we where completely satisfied we where given a welcome pack of provisions and nice touch was a bottle of bubbly .All the contact details where left in case we needed any help during our stay thankfully we didn't need them .The location was very good 5 minutes from the local bus stop with buses going to all parts of the island on our door stop and all for 6.50Euro for a weekly ticket including the return to the airport excellent value .The place was 2 minutes from the luxury Portomaso complex and the Hilton Hotel .Take a trip up the tower to the 22 floor for a spectacular view of the island .
On the check out day Paul came around at a agreed time and inspected the place and handed us back our security deposit with no fuss .He was a real gentleman to deal with and would use his services if and when we return to Malta .Book with confidence with this company Brian &Elsie

Excellent!
I am writing this review to say that the owner of this property, Paul, is an excellent host. You should rent from him whenever possible. He picked me up at the airport and left me with fresh water, milk, and some snacks. He was always available via email for my (many) questions and concerns. Paul was always polite and did everything he could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you Paul!

Perfect!
Me and five friends of mine stayed for about a week in october there. We arrived at the airport and the host was late but he immediately called and informed us about it so we hadn't got to worry. The ride to our apartment was a bit too fast but we arrived there safe and sound. As we entered it we couldn't believe our eyes; a big living room with lots of sofas and a large TV, two bathrooms, a big perch outside with a jacuzzi and a nice halfopen kitchen in the middle of the appartment. There are more than enough furniture and it's all very modern. The hosts thought of all the details, like adapters and so on. By the way the hosts are very friendly and if you have a problem with something there or a question, they'll always help you. We had some little peoblems with insects but we managed to fight them and I think in every southern country you'll have such problems. They always get the way into your apartment if they want to...The location of the apartment was perfect. You reach the beach, the supermarket and all the good party clubs in just three to five minutes footwalk. Also the busstop isn't far away. We were the first visitors who could try the jacuzzi with the heater. It wasn't working very well but I think they will quickly solve the problem for the next guests.
I absolutely recommend this apartment especially for young people: it's a real fair price, perfect location, party next door, beach five minutes away, nice view and you have always help if you need some :)! In addition there weren't any problems with the neighbours.

Luxurious Apartment in a Prime location
Myself and my boyfriend stayed in the Sands for a week. Neither of us had been to Malta and so we were looking to stay somewhere central to the beach and night life and restaurants. We picked the perfect place. The apartment is modern and spacious and it was lovely to have our own space to relax. We were in walking distance of the bay so we had a wide choice of restaurants to chose from (our favourites were Barracuda, Padre Piccolo, 1927 and Meet.) The bars and night clubs of Paceville were just behind the complex. Although this is a lively and trendy spot you could not hear any noise from the apartment as it was nestled in off the road way.
Josanna could not have been nicer. On arrival her driver picked us up at the airport and we met her at the apartment. She gave us all the information of the apartment and the area and left us to it. We didnt have to contact her for our stay as we found our way around fine. On the day of departure she allowed us the use of a room in her villa to rest and change before our flight. Her driver then dropped us straight to the airport.
Overall it was the best holiday I have had. Malta is such a lovely island with so much to see and do and the weather was just perfect in October. The Sands apartment definitely enhanced our stay and I have no doubt we will be back in the future.

We recently visited Malta on holiday for the first time on a group holiday as a group of 18 year olds. We had high expectations of the appartment and they we more than exceeded. It was more than we could ask for. We were a group of 8 people that there was more than enough space for us all. The location of the appartment really helps the great atmosphere as it is situated right in the Centre of paceville. The security was no issue on the holiday as there was a security gate and Door on the outside of the appartment. There was a fully functional gas barbecue outside by the tabe. This ment we could have barbecue on each night we wanted to. The splash pool was great fun on holiday as after a hot day on the beech we could chill out in the evening in the pool. The owners were extremely helpful by making sure that our every need is met, from transport on arrival to giving us taxi numbers. So if you are looking for a good holiday in Malta around paceville then you should strongly consider this appartmert for both excellent service and value for money.

The Perfect Holiday

I could say Paul and Josanne are the perfect hosts but that wouldn’t do them justice. They really went the extra mile in making our holiday wonderful.
They’d arranged for a driver to be waiting for us when we arrived, which made what could be a stressful part of the journey effortless and welcoming.
When we arrived at the apartment it’s exactly as it looks in the photos, and every bit as impressive! It’s got everything you need to make your holiday comfortable and the welcome food pack was very welcome indeed!
The apartment has every mod con you could wish for, from the Wi-fi to the washing machine, but my personal favourite was the swing seat in the garden, I spent many happy hours gently swinging with a glass of wine.
St Julians has a lot of young people but this shouldn’t put off those that are young at heart, everyone we met was friendly and accommodating.
Everything is on your doorstep from this location. The bars restaurants and clubs of Paceville are just a minute’s walk away, but when you curl up on the sofa for the evening they could be a million miles away.
The beach is also just on your doorstep and has a beautiful restaurant overlooking St Georges bay, I can heartily recommend starting your holiday here with a nice bottle of bubbly and the squid pasta – exquisite!
You can also find pretty much everything you need at the Bay street shopping centre, the Marks and Spencer being a very welcome piece of home.
Also in the bay street shopping centre is a hotel that has a lovely rooftop pool, for only 5 Euros you can spend the whole day lounging by it and you get the 5 Euros back to spend at the bar!
There is a Cinema at the eden complex, and across the road there’s pool, bowling alleys and video games.
It’s also a great base to explore from, on the road next to the beach you will find several helpful people where you can book excursions all over Malta and Gozo.
The beach bar at midnight is a must, and if you’ve had a few too many the night before the bar at the far end of the beach does a great Full English breakfast.
On our departure we had a late flight but Paul and Josanne let us spend the day at their beautiful home and made us feel like part of the family. I was touched by their hospitality.
We had a wonderful holiday and Paul and Josanne played a large part in that, thanks to you both for everything x

Alloggio perfetto!
Siamo un gruppo di ragazzi tra i 17 e 19 anni e abbiamo passato una settimana fantastica in questo appartamento! Paul e Josanne si sono dimostrati subito molto disponibili e accoglienti sin dal primo contatto via mail! Inoltre ci hanno fornito ogni informazione riguardo all'abitazione e al luogo in modo completo ed esauriente!
L'appartamento è stato al di sopra di qualunque nostra aspettativa: infatti abbiamo trovato un alloggio arredato in modo moderno e dotato di ogni conforts. La cucina dispone di ogni elettrodomestico necessario e anche di piatti, bicchieri, pentole e posate in abbondanza. Ogni letto aveva lenzuola e cuscini puliti, come anche pulito abbiamo trovato tutto l'appartamento. Il cortile permetteva di cenare al fresco, riposarsi al pomeriggio, fare una grigliata vista la presenza del barbecue oppure rinfrescarsi nella piscina!
Non abbiamo avuto quindi alcun problema e Paul si è sempre dimostrato disponibile per ogni evenienza, accogliendoci con alcuni alimenti locali! Sicuramente se dovessi tornare a Malta faremmo ritorno in questo appartamento, nel centro del divertimento, a pochi metri dalla spiaggia ma comunque situato in un complesso molto tranquillo!

i have rarely stayed in such a clean and well maintained apartment , it had all the home comforts you could have wished for and more.
we loved the way the apartment has been furnished , very cool modern and stylish but still extremely comfortable . the owners Paul and Josanne could not have been better hosts , we were given all the information on the area and things that were available for us to do . the out side space was a private little haven to enjoy a glass of wine and chill out , we would give this apartment 10 out of 10 , thanks Paul and Josanne. we will be back x

A very nice place / Un très bel endroit
We had booked this appartement on internet and we have been fully satisfied on all levels: the appartement is as nice as it looks like, with a beautifull view on the seaside, lots of facilities around (shops, restaurants, bars...). Moreover, Josanne and Paul are very friendly. A perfect place to spend holiday with a family! (and I don't speak about Malta, nice island to be visited)
Nous avions loué cet appartement par internet et avons été pleinement satisfait à tous les niveaux : l'appartement est tel que présenté sur le site, avec une vue magnifique sur la crique, tous commerces à proximité (y compris restaurants et bars, tout se fait à pied). Et cerise sur le gâteau, Josanne et Paul sont très accueillants, professionnels et de bon conseil.

Top quality apartment. Lovely friendly owners.
We have just come back from staying at this apartment and found it to be one of the best that we have ever stayed in. The lounge was spacious and had every amenity that a discerning holidaymaker could want. The kitchen was also excellent and we found it contained everything that we wanted on the occasions that we ate indoors. The master bedroom was fine with an en-suite bathroom containing an excellent shower.There is a nice shady area at the back of thre apartment which is great for a glass of wine or reading a book.The owners couldnt do enough for us and as well as picking us up from the airport let us stay at another of their apartments on our departure day as we had a late flight. When they learnt that it was our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary they even bought us a bottle of Champagne. My only slight note of caution would be that although the apartment is quiet enough, the area nearby is very loud and lively,so if you are after total peace and quiet you would be better off staying in one of the owner's other apartments in the very beautiful and tranquil Madliena.

Excellent property, good location, wonderful Malta
We had a terrific 1 week holiday in this very nice apartment located directly at St George’s Bay. The property is located in a nice area and the view on the Bay is perfect. The photos give a perfect match of the property. The owners were very helpful and picked us up from the airport. They were standing by at all times whenever we had questions. St. George Bay is beautiful and located on walking distance of St. Julian and Sliema (Sliema is about 2,5 km). There is a supermarket and there are very nice restaurants in the direct vicinity of the property, and plenty of bars and nightclubs. There even was a private parking for our rental car.
The property is quiet and there was practically no noise of other people in the apartments building or from the nightclub area. Overall we enjoyed the island of Malta, St. George Bay and the property very much. My wife, our two children and myself felt sorry to leaf beautiful Malta.
