This two bedroom condo has a king bed in the master along with a full bath, the second bedroom offering two queen beds, and the living room providing a sleeper sofa. The Carolina Dunes is located in the prestigious Golden Mile section of Myrtle Beach, known for being centrally located to all the Myrtle Beach attractions, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and within walking distance of two restaurants, a bar and Starbucks! The Carolina Dunes also offers a Large outdoor pool and sunning deck with tables, umbrellas and chairs kiddie pool, courtyard, private walkway to the beach, outdoor showers, lobby, luggage carts, free wifi and onsite parking. - Luxury Linen package included! -4 beach chairs provided for our guests use. -This is a non smoking unit. The check in process was very smooth , the condo was very clean and the amount of dishes and kitchen items was great. We had some tv problems with the tv in the 2nd bedroom. We called and they told us they would send someone up to fix it. Then a day or
2 later we didn’t have hot water in either bathroom sink, and the tv wasn’t working again. Turns out the tv was going to the wrong input when we shut the tv off, easy fix. The maintenance man was VERY rude. His first question was do you not have hot water in a very rude way, I explained we didn’t have any in the bathroom sinks and also the tv problem. He said I would have never come up here and left my cookout for a tv, so what’s the problem with the hot water, he also said someone came and fixed the tv on Sunday, well it wasn’t working for us that’s when we figured out when we turned the tv off it was defaulting to a different input. He looked at the bathroom sink and said a valve was bad. He left and we have no idea when they came back to fix that valve but we had hot water in sinks later the next day. You have no clue if they come to repair stuff when your not there because they leave nothing to let you know. But the Condo was very nice, the view was great and the management was very polite and kind during phone call. I wish they had an ice machine is the only real downfall, we would definitely go back. They have plenty of beach chairs and sand toys as well. I was also happy they had a mop and vacuum.

Check in and out was a breeze! It’s clean. Convenient. Close to the beach. Relaxing. Looks just like the photos! Comfy beds. Has so many beach toys to use! They provide enough towels. Starter packs of dish soap, shampoo, dishwasher stuff etc.. would definitely stay again!

Check in process was very simple.
Master shower water pressure could blow off all the sand from the beach and has a little seat.
Quiet at night, even when other people are partying late.
Cons:
Building is kind of falling apart. Lots of updates needed in the whole building.
Not very clean. Lots of dusty areas including behind the beds.
Shower in master is pretty small but I mentioned above about the pressure.
Did smell like weed from time to time but in fairness, everywhere we went in Myrtle Beach did.
Overall, is it the nicest place we’ve ever stayed…no but if you are looking for an affordable place to stay with a great view…this is the place to go.
Also across the street they do a Polynesian fire luau that we highly recommend.

Family Vacation
We rented this condo for our family vacation. Our kids ages range from 26 to 5. As a family of 8, we were comfortable in the condo with plenty of room. The quick and private walkway to the beach was amazing. Was an easy access location for going out and doing touristy adventures as well.

"Updated" condo was not really updated. The appliances were very old. Shower was very short. Cabinets were painted on the outside but inside the cabinet we found bugs during our stay. Not a Luxury condo... Location was not bad, beach was not super busy for it being a week in June.

We loved the place. The location was perfect away from the hustle of north ocean blvd but close enough to drive 10 min or less to restaurants and things to do. Really couldn’t complain about anything. A lot of others had already given great descriptions of the place so I was prepared for outdated furniture and decor but everything worked as it should and what needed to get fixed was fixed very quickly.

Roaches in kitchen and downstairs in lobby.This property may have been a luxury property at one time 25/30 years ago. But it definitely is not now. The view from the balcony was excellent. But the chairs on the balcony were supposed to be white and they were mostly black from being filthy. The couch and loveseat inside was stained with only God would know what, we had to put bedsheets over them before we would even sit on them. The glass table top was just smeared with dirt. The paint in the hall bathroom on the ceiling was peeling in the shower, as well as over the toilet. The shower doors in the Hall bathroom was very difficult to slide. Dryer vent was clogged with lint has not been maintenance in a long time. The door leaving out of the master bedroom to the balcony was jammed after a few minutes of working with it I finally got it to open. Door frames are all rusty. I would not recommend this to anyone, nor will I ever stay there again.

The condo was relatively clean and well kept but there was mold in places. The furniture was fairly uncomfortable. We got stuck for a few minutes in the elevator that appeared to have been vandalized earlier in the day, although it was fixed the next day. The pool was very grimy. The biggest downfall was that the hotel/ condo complex next door was party central until very late at night. Not a very good place to relax. Other than those things, it was fine.

The unit itself was well equipped to prepare an entire Thanksgiving meal. When I walked in the kitchen there were several dead roaches on the floor. I killed 5 or 6 roaches in the master bath. I would recommend the unit.

We stayed in Unit #502 in the Carolina Dunes building in Myrtle Beach. The unit was exactly as pictured. We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and large open concept living spaces. The unit was squeaky clean upon arrival and our parking passes were waiting for us on the counter.
The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and cups for our stay. We love to cook on vacation, and we had everything we needed. The fridge/freezer was large and had an ice maker which was an additional bonus.
The bathrooms could use a bit of updating/minor repairs,, but nothing that made us regret staying there. The water pressure and hot water was perfect for the three of us staying there (many times using both showers at the same time).
There was plenty of room for storage of our clothes and items, and the balcony was a good size. The furniture on the balcony could be upgraded and washed, as it is plastic and gets dirty from the elements. We LOVED that the sliding doors opened almost the entire way.
The amenities provided were sufficient, the building was clean and well lit. It was very convenient to have a digital lock so we didn’t need to take a key to the beach. The unit is overlooking the grassy area and has an amazing view of the beach. The pool was clean but always busy with families, so it was hard to enjoy some days (but that is inevitable!).
Some things to note if staying:
- The trash is no longer a cart, but a dumpster in the parking lot to the left of the building when looking at it from the parking area.
- The chairs and umbrellas are not free, so bring your own if you can

Waste of money going thru VRBO
Property was nice I stayed at the dunes at least 8 x and went thru them. VRBO waste of vacation $$. Book direct, they did nothing but charge lots of fees , service charges endless. Book direct your paying for some else's advertising. Never again! Property was ok, kind of shabby and dirty behind bed in 2nd bedroom with 2 beds. Could have gotten a lot nicer for the money. Rental agents were very nice and efficient. Go to resort or rental company not VRBO ripoff

The ocean front view was amazing, the double patio doors were huge and opened with ease, the master bedroom also had great views of the ocean and balcony was spacious. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was nice, it was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 5. The pool was wonderful too, the pool chairs were very comfortable and I liked that there were also tables with umbrellas. The parking was right next to the building it couldn’t be better. Unlike most places where you have to use a parking structure across the street. We can’t wait to come back!

The view was great, and I enjoyed listening to the waves from the unit. However, the unit could use some upkeep. There were areas where the ceiling was peeling off and had black mildew or something around it. There was also a mildewy smell, especially in the bedroom with two queen beds. My family has allergies so this was an issue for us. I did leave a whole pack of coffee filters for future guests so that hopefully they won't have to run out late in the evening after being on the road 11 hours just so they can have coffee the next morning.

In general satisfied with condo 502 at Carolina Dunes; but for a few disappointments, it cannot get 5 stars al across. To start with, getting access to the appartement was a bad experience. I have looked through my past emails and could not find the famous PIN (entry code to the door). Some other guest referred me to complete idiots at the Caravelle across the street that did not even let me dial your 1-888 number on their front desk phone...but he knew I was supposed to have a PIN number. I finally got the PIN number and get into the condo and Sh..! the place has not been cleaned, even at 5PM. No bed sheets, dirty towels etc. Dialed the 1-888 number again, from the condo and your efficient and apologetic "on duty" woman organised for cleaning ladies to come to the condo "pronto"! Then the little things: The kitchen sink faucet is installed backwards, so that to get hot water, one needs to turn the leaver to the "right". The toilet bowl in the center restroom is loose on its base. As long as the wax donut holds problem! The shower faucet in the same bathroom is very loose. A "luxury Condo" should not have these little maintenance problems. But it should offer a "secured WI-FI". Finally, the place has a very noisy neighbour to the north: "The Caravelle", with its super noisy pop music at the pool area, afternoon and evening. We did not sit on the balcony and gave the air conditionner a break by keeping the patio door closed. Speaking of that is very difficult to open or shut. I guess from an other maintenance issue, the bottom roller bearings must be shot! And luckily there is a broom stick to lock that door as the door lock is also kaput. Location...OK General comfort...OK Overall cleanliness...OK, although we were surprised that a bug spray contractor had to go around the condo "once a month"...on the 5th floor
