The apartment itself is absolutely stunning. Soaring ceilings with beautiful ornate detailing, lovely tiles, a sprawling terrace, gorgeous old windows, the frescoed stairway walking up to the door... it feels like you're staying in a properly "Florentine" edifice. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is modern and well-stocked, and the bathroom is luxurious. Everything was clean and in working order. We always looked forward to coming "home" to the apartment after a long day sightseeing. We stayed with our 2 young kids, and the sofa bed was perfect for them.
Patrizia, the host, was delightful from the first moment, and so helpful. We needed to check in on very short notice (just a couple hours!) and she was remarkably accommodating. She checked in a couple times during our stay (e.g. when a crazy rainstorm hit), and always made sure we had what we needed.
The neighborhood felt vibrant, energetic, and young--lots of college-age people, cool bars, and great restaurants. A distinctly not-touristy vibe, compared to other neighborhoods we visited or stayed in.
I would highly highly recommend this apartment to anyone visting Florence!

everything! absolutely beautiful, well equipped, good location, great host.
it was pretty noisy at night and early morning, partiers, workers, street sweepers, but a small price to pay for such an outstanding apartment. I will likely never have the opportunity to stay in such an incredible, historic place

The location and the design of acccomodation is very nice.
During the really hot days this is not a good place to stay - one room is air conditioned but the bed room is not. Because of this the bed room is extremelly hot. Second problem is that you can hear every single word said on the street and the third is if you come with a car you have to leave your car keys in the garage (but it is common behaviour in Florence)

I booked the apartment for my son and his girlfriend - it was their first trip abroad together! They both adored it and said that the hosts were incredibly friendly, even offering them an early check in. I'm now planning on taking my wife for a break there soon!
Nothing!

Instagram-worthy apartment in the heart of Florence. Lovely host with great communication skills, she went out of her way to make our stay comfortable.
This is NOT a penthouse (as it was advertised when we booked) but rather a first-floor apartment with two other floors above them--and trust me, you will hear the neighbours. The windows in the apartment are very old and offer no protection from the noise outside. We have travelled from Sydney to Tokyo to NYC, London, Paris and Rome, and we had never experienced that much noise pollution inside the apartment. Unable to sleep at all for 2 nights in a row, we left a few days earlier.

Absolutely gorgeous apartment. I made the mistake thinking this was a 2 BR, but there's just 1. Great location in Florence.
Some of the reviews stated that it can get noisy at night, we traveled from NYC and London, and didn't expect to be too phased by the sounds. Unfortunately, the noise from outside was unbearable for us. There is no cafe in the street, but just a big group of young people sitting on the sidewalk and standing in the street drinking, driving scooters until 5AM. Even though we went to bed around 11 PM, we ended up being up until 5AM. If you bring really good earplugs, or visit throughout the week (and not weekend) it should definitely be better. But I just wanted to emphasize it.

Communication before and during visit was excellent, friendly and helpful
It was noisy in the early hours but we were aware of this beforehand due to the central location and the architecture of the streets. You would get this in any Main Street in Florence.
