My reduced mobility was an issue, otherwise I enjoyed the stay

Breakfast simply but effectively served. Option of haddock was a welcome addition. The hosts were relaxed and friendly, yet maintained the required degree of professionalism. Not all establishments achieve this, TGH did!

Its siting at the top of a very steep hill. This resulted in the need to take a taxi for the very short distance involved.

Perfect in every way

Incredible sea view, the property is a stone’s throw away from the beach, the breakfast is delicious, the hosts are welcoming, attentive and friendly! The room was ready early and a list of nice local restaurants was provided which proved to be really useful! Definitely coming again.

We were very content. St Ives remains a delightful resort even in the rain!

The delightful young couple who run this small guest house, Gavin and Charlotte, were extremely welcoming and helpful: we felt like old friends! They run it very well. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We appreciated the little extra touches too, for example a big choice of hot drinks in the bedroom and fresh bottles of water each day. Very good breakfast too. The property is located above St Ives town in a quiet and pleasant position overlooking the sea, only a short walk from the town centre, though a steep climb.

We came by train and the steep climb was rather a slog in the rain. However, there are taxis and a bus service stops near to the guest house (discovered on our last day).

Beautiful beach is just a stones throw away. And the lovely couple who owns the property,very welcoming,warm and helpful. I love the breakfast too. The hotel is very clean,spotless and quiet...

The rooms were very clean and tidy, a very welcoming reception from the owners who were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was good with plenty of food and drink.

Parking in the area is difficult. there is a car park just along the road however it is extremely busy and hard to get a parking space. Once you manage to get a place to park Cornwall Council is just shy of £9.00 for 24hrs parking. As St Ives is a very quaint old town with narrow streets everyone is probably in the same boat regarding the parking situation. This has no reflection on the guesthouse itself which was very nice.

I enjoyed my stay at this guest house and i highly recommend it for anyone visiting St Ives.

The guest house was very close to the city centre and the beach. Easily walkable which made my trip much more fun and stress free. The guest house was very clean and cost. The owners were really nice and made sure that their guests were taken care of. The breakfast was amazing. I enjoyed every bit of it. My room was always cleaned.

The bathroom was too small. Personal preference

Hosts were welcoming, room & guest house very clean & cosy, a few minutes walk down the hill to the beach & harbour, quiet & relaxing but everything nearby, would definitely book again.

Great location, lovely hosts.

The location is great with wonderful sea view. The breakfast is excellent with varied choices. Tea, biscuits ... filled daily. The hosts are warm and welcoming. The house doesn't have a car park, but a big car park is nearby.

Sometimes the car park is full, have to be patient.

Great B and B! Highly recommend. Charlotte and Gavin were really welcoming and attentive. The room was bright and clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! Location is great too - only a short walk into the town centre. I will definitely stay again! Many thanks Charlotte and Gavin!

The breakfast was very good, the owners were very friendly and the location was perfect, especially the view.

The heating was on which was too much for the middle of summer, just a personal preference though.

Charlotte and Gavin were lovely friendly hosts who went out of their way to accommodate one of us being a vegan the added thought of vegan snacks in the room was really appreciated and the breakfasts were lovely we will definitely be recommending to friends and will be back to stay again ourselves.

We received a lovely warm welcome from the hosts Our room was beautiful and very clean . Tea , coffee and hot choc with biscuits left daily The breakfast was first class with plenty of choice cooked would definitely return

Excellent service and very good experience to having holiday there.

The owner is really good and very helpful to us. They provide very useful information about for us. Every morning Gavin asked about our previous day and plans also asked if any help we need it. The house and room are very clean and nicely decorated. Also, the breakfast was excellent. They provide an excellent service.

We had a lovely break and were sorry to leave such a lovely place ,Charlotte and Gavin are the perfect hosts , Breakfast was great there was a lot of choice and nothing was to much trouble for them, The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable, Would highly recomend to anyone , and would love to stay again , Thank you for a lovley stay.

friendly and helpful hosts excellent breakfast and coffee facilities in room topped up daily and cleaned daily clean rooms with everything you need clear information and helpful hints in guestbook great location so close to town and beach beautiful views

no parking on site but car park 1 min walk away (Barnoon long stay) very busy and was very hard to get a space but once we did we were happy!

A superb sunny stay in St Ives.

Tregony Guest House is a great example of a traditional (Air-less) B&B, it's been a while since I stayed at one and it was a great reintroduction. The hosts Charlotte and Gavin are fantastic, friendly, professional and it's obvious they car about your experience. The room and bathroom were a good size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, cooked by Charlotte, I stayed for five nights, zero complaints, consistently delicious, and the fruit was too (service always with a smile from Gavin). Their website is informative and their restaurant recommendations didn't disappoint. There are beaches, coastline, restaurants and shopping very close but the place is atop a steep hill so bear that in mind, and parking can be tricky as the closest carpark (Barnoon) is a busy one. I suggest trying after 6pm for a better chance (free from 6pm-8am / £8.80 per 24hrs). It wasn't too hot when I visited and the room was comfy but I imagine it can get pretty hot inside on upper floors. Overall excellent, and I would definitely stay again (but I'm thinking of moving to St Ives/Cornwall instead).

*The water pressure isn't great but that's often not something that can be helped. *I always like blackout curtains as I'm light sleeper, but that's just me being picky.
