More than excellent place to stay

This was truly an exceptional place to stay. The cabin is very nice with a great view and well located. The hosts are extremely helpful and added many details to the place to make you feel at home. The kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub is the cherry on top of a great place to stay.

Hardly anything, if i had to say something, the master bed might be a bit small for two taller people.

A cozy and beautiful retreat!

The location was easy to find and "centrally" located enough that we were able to take lots of adventures. The house was wonderfully appointed and the views did not disappoint. We used the hot tub frequently (instructions were easy to follow). And, the album collection - a recommendations - were great! (We're currently shopping for more Johann Johannssen albums! It really set the scene!) We saw the northern lights two of the three nights - such a treat!

Our only issue was a small mix-up with the lock box, but our hosts were very responsive and everything worked out a-ok!

I wish myself and other travellers to meet hosts only as Elva and her husband

This is a lovely place located in amazing area. Cabin is surrounded by beautiful mountains, including Hekla volcano. We were really impressed by the view. The house is comfortable and has anything you need for nice stay. But hosts behaviour was really oustanding. They helped us a lot with some difficulties which we had during our stay due to the snowstorm. They were caring, asked a farmer to clean the road for us,called Blue Lagoon when we realized that we can not make it because of the weather and thanks to them we get money refunded. The contact with them was great and we are really thankful for having them at that time!

There was not really a huge thing which we didn’t like, but the shower glass looked a bit used and had some limescale.We had also some problems with the pipe in the sink but we managed to fix it quickly and it was just a coincidence and definitely not hosts’ fault that it was broken.

We recommend this place for sure :-)

Fantastic landscape view from the cabin. The Spa pool was very nice and hot, we used it several times a day. Everybody felt relaxed and all worked well. We had the feeling of being invited home to a cottage of a good friend. It was a fun feature for the kids with a gramophone, guitar, and several board games. We felt very lucky to stay in this place and we for sure got value for money.

Incredible setting we were blown away with its beauty.

The views are incredible. A spectacular setting. The children and I loved the hot tub. Saw many sunsets from the tub. The cabin has everything you need.

beautifull view and a nice host! nice interior, good bed and a lovely hottub!

kitchen tab was broken, but looking at the rest of the cabin I’m sure it’s fixed quick.

even if we did not meet Elva, she was very helpful, even wrote us to check the sky/windows because we might see the northern lights and yes, we saw them directly from the cabin which was very cool. the cabin is very clean and the beds are really comfortable. the jacuzzi is perfect on a winter night

The cabin is realy beautiful. We enjoyed several amazing sunrises and sunsets directly from the breakfast/dinner table as well as impressive northern lights from the terrace and hot tub. The host is very friendly and helpful and made us enjoy our stay even more.

A better can opener would have been nice. But this is really the only "negative" aspect I could think of and thus confirms even more how nice this cabin is.

Exceptional cabin in the wilderness

The hosts were perfect, the hut tub is awesome, the property is great for 5-6 people, we loved the geo-thermal shower and that wi-fi, sound system, washer/dryer, stove and all other equipment was working perfectly. The style of the cabin was also perfectly matching with our needs.

Go for it, it´s worth it!

Best quarantine ever! This was one of our best experiences in our lives. The place is gorgeous, well equipped, including geothermal hot tube. Simply said: Heaven on Earth. Thank you for making us happy and relaxed. Jakub and Anne

Thrilling sights of the volcanoes beyond

Views beyond imagination.Excellent equipment. Close to the interesting sights. Even saw the northern lights above our heads in the geothermal hot tub. Spectacular experience.

It may feel remote in high winds and snow during the winter months.
