We had an absolutely marvelous time here in Islamorada. We rented to two upstairs units. They were beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed. The location was ideal, between the Atlantic and the Gulf. My grandson had a great time fishing in the canal at the back, and the girls loved the beautiful swimming pool. It was great to have access to the private beach a n easy walk away. We found this to be the best beach in the Keys. I loved that there was plenty of shade as well as beautiful crystal clear water. We enjoyed relaxing time in the adorondact chairs on the patio and we even saw manitee swim by in the canal. Walter was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

Everything about this trip was great. Walter (and family) were excellent hosts for our stay. We visited with our two kids, their spouses, and our grandchildren (ages 5 & 7) for a total of 8 guests. Both of the units currently available are upstairs (2nd floor and easy stairs) and connect to each other via the back balconies. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets felt great. There were plenty of towels and beach towels to use as well. Walter also even found a bike with training wheels for my just turned 5-year-old grandson. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the necessary tools you could need to cook up some great meals and the kitchen tools were great quality as well. There are also grills on each of the front patios. He provided snorkeling equipment and was able to give great referrals for all sorts of things on the island. We didn't get to try his favorite restaurant but we did really enjoy a Cuban spot he recommended that was a very quick drive (or bike ride). If you are looking for a "fancy" space, this might not fit but if you're looking for a very, very comfortable, clean, and well-managed space that gives you an amazing trip, this is PERFECT! My daughter is in the Miami area and has already given Walter's number out to 3 different people and we will make sure this is where we stay when we return. The private beach was also a HUGE plus. Can't wait until the bottom floor is finished and we can bring a larger group. Walter is welcome to give my daughter's contact information out if anyone has any questions they would like to ask!

The house is absolutely beautiful! It has everything you need to make you feel right at home. Very easy to find, and with a convenient Store right down the street, it’s location is perfect. The private beach was amazing as well. We did however have an issue with renting the boat offered along with this house. The evening before we were supposed receive the boat it was deemed the boat was not running correctly. So we had to start the cancellation process which left us with no boat and waiting for the return of our money. I feel the owner did attempt to help us find an alternate boat and did his best to get our money back as quickly as possible. Luckily we did have the means to rent another boat while waiting for the refund. And Jeff at mile marker 85 is the man to see if you need a boat!!! All in all everything was great, got our refund back the day we left. Would definitely stay here again!!!

The house is awesome and in a great location. Only 30 minutes south to marathon and 10 minutes north to upper matecumbe. The house was covert clean and everything worked. The canal in the backyard is awesome. We brought a 24ft pontoon and had plenty room for another boat to be docked up and the canal is plenty deep. It’s was 9ft right at the dock. The owner is awesome and very easy to get ahold of. We will be back for sure as this will probably be our permanent vacation house in the keys.

Rental is perfect for two families with separate units, so you have two of everything. Walter is your host and is very attentive to your needs. The downstairs is being remodeled to add additional bedrooms and bathrooms. Plenty of dockage for two large boats. The unit has access to a private neighborhood beach in the subdivision. This beach is one of the nicest in the FL Keys. Mr. lobster is within walking distance and you can pick your own live FL lobster right out of their tanks, fresh off the lobster boats!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Islamorada this is the one! The house was great, very clean, welcoming and spacious for the 10 of us, had everything we needed for the week. The private beach was a definite plus & the sunsets were amazing!!! Short walk, bike or drive from the house. We rented the boat for 3 days - grandkids had a great time fishing, snorkeling & seeing the sights by water to include dolphins! Speared a lion fish & had fresh snapper for dinner! Had visits from the manatees during the week, amazing to see up close & personal, beyond words! Walter was a very gracious host, went out of his way to make sure we had everything needed! Would highly recommend and definitely would stay here again!!!! Thanks Jenkins family!

If anyone is planning a trip to the keys and wants to stay in one of the best vacation homes in Lower Matacumbe area this is your place to stay. This owner was over the top to work with I can only wish to get this treatment with other VRBO owners. The house was clean, centrally located between attractions, and the private beach makes it all worth the while. There are very few areas to have access to the beach so this was a plus. We had plenty of room the house sleeps 12 comfortably. We look forward to coming back again sometime.

The eight of us had a wonderful time during our stay. We trailered our boat with us to take advantage of the easy access to the surroundings. If you bring a boat launching can pose a problem. (We have a 21’ ski boat) The public ramp is close however, without a truck with axle lock, experience and help it is very difficult to get in. It’s rocky and on the side of the road. No actual ramp. Founders Park is your best bet. The house was great. We had 6 teenagers so the duplex was nice for separate accommodations. The beach and sandbar in the neighborhood are awesome. The sunsets are beyond belief. We chartered a fishing boat for a day and ate our catch for dinner. It’s an easy drive to Key West. Plenty of options for dining are within a 15 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again.

A truly wonderful vacation. Property is perfectly located in Islamorada, which has all of the best activities and eateries that the keys can offer. The property, complete with a fully functioning dock , fish cleaning station and shower, was everything any group could want. Home was very spacious, clean and welcoming. Furnishings and bedding was very comfortable and satisfied our every need. The kitchen was fully functioning and well stocked with cookware, dinnerware and utensils. Refrigerator, stove/oven and dishwasher were great. A beautiful, private, white sand beach is available via a short walk, or bike ride at the end of the street. A visit at sunset is a must! We rented the jet boat available through the ad and had a great time. Having a boat in the keys truly made our vacation a great experience. Walter Jenkins is a wonderful and thoughtful host. He was available via phone or text if needed and was great at checking in, to make sure we had access to everything we needed. We'll certainly be back on our next trip to the keys!
