Great location
Perfect location right next to the train station. We arrived super early and were able to drop off our bags, they were even taken up to the room for us. Friendly staff.
Hotel room and bathroom quite shabby and not in great condition. When we returned late afternoon to the hotel we couldn't find any details of how to get onto locked WiFi network. No staff available to ask either as reception had closed early.

Great value, clean newly renovated room, and excellent location to train station, Hop On/ Hop Off bus and main stree
Great location at Katoomba Station, Explorer Bus Hop On/ Hop Off, and top of Katoomba St (the lovely walkable main street through the town with shops and cafes). The Metropole was going through renovations but no issues to us at all: our room was beautiful, impeccably clean and wonderful natural light. The receptionist was lovely and helpful.
There was no way to hang clothes/ coats in the room — no wardrobe, no door hangers. Not sure if these will be added later during their renovations?

Charming, well located guest house with real character - but this particular room should not be let.
Noise. Walls were acoustically transparent, could hear words, bodily noise from adjacent rooms. Size - tiny even for a single room
