Excellent place to stay

Excellent place to stay - an easy walk from Katoomba station. Lovely large room with a comfy bed and a bath and a shower. The hottest water we’ve had in Australia. A comfortable lounge with music played on the piano on Sat night. Friendly staff and stunning views outside. Tea/coffee and a fridge in the room. .

Lovely

Great location, authentic decor, lovely staff. The best thing is they have 4 fast chargers in the car park. Well done

I paid premium for the open fire in the room, which was a slightly disappointing gas/coal display fire. But the room was spacious and bed very large and comfy

Wonderful but expensive

Amazing view. Good central location to town. Big comfy bed, nice to have a sofa to relax on. Delicious big breakfasts, nice choice. Excellent communal rooms to relax, look at the view, read books, play Scrabble, Cluedo, etc with fireplaces ready for colder weather.

Dead bugs not cleaned from the floor, they seemed to fall from the Aircon machine. Enormous breakfast but you can pick from the list to choose from what's on offer

It could’ve been a lot better

The meal and bar staff were great.

The view from our room was of a metal roof covered in Airconditioning compressor units that we had to listen to all night. The manager, Eric was extremely rude and unprofessional. with a lack of empathy and understanding.

A bonus of the stay was a brilliant piano player Alan on a Friday and Saturday at the bar and lounge

I was very satisfied with the customer service of everyone from the 2 reception staff, to cleaner, bar tenders and entertainment staff.

Beautiful traditional and very comfortable hotel with breathtaking views!

Loved the traditional look and feel of the hotel. Exceptional, breathtaking views from the room, bar, lounge and dining room! Beautiful furnishings, staircase, and so many places to sit and relax, have a drink, read a book or play a game. The breakfast was delicious and the pool was lovely too. The staff were very friendly and a big thank you to Nigel for his excellent service. We loved our stay and will definitely return!

Romantic, restful and welcoming.

Heritage offers that ‘old mountains’ charm and the new staff leadership and direction is exceptional. It matters when someone is engaging and friendly and without exception this described the team. We were celebrating my hubby’s birthday and all the boxes were checked. As LGBTQI travellers it is important that we find locations where we feel welcome and this was right up there with the best.

The charm of the Heritage is it being historical. However, some minor refreshing of the rooms would enhance the experience.

Comfortable

Location was great, although the picture in the restaurant was very cleverly taken. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable with an excellent shower and spa bath. Room service daily, which was nice to have clean towels each day after long walks exploring. All staff were very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a game of Pool and Table Tennis which you would not usually get in Hotels.

The view! Our room was situated in the middle of the hotel so overlooked roof tiles. We did not try the Pool as cold even though we had beautiful weather.

Cosy room, clean and comfortable. Beautiful scenery and located central to everything. Kids loved the spa bath. Enjoyed the breakfast included.

Problems with tv shutting down they said it was fixed but not. Could t watch movies etc very disappointing Room was cleaned after first night things not replenished Soap shampoo tissues were left empty

Beautiful heritage building with friendly staff

Location very convenient to main street; beautiful gardens; views in lounge/bar area were spectacular; piano music in bar area on both afternoons was most enjoyable and cocktails were good

The Room (especially bathroom) was alot smaller than expected from the online pictures we viewed before booking. Dinner experience at restaurant was disappointing.

Room was okay good size but run down.

Staff was friendly and courteous

5 Star restaurant price for 1 star service and quality. It felt like We were dining at “Faulty Towers !!!” Food took too long to come out and Resturant even though it was hardly any people in the restaurant. Menu prices were way too expensive for the Quality of food. Coffee and tea was served luke warm. Hotel charges everything on credit card 💳 and charged merchant fees all too expensive and the worst thing is you can’t use cash to pay for anything. Covid is over people cash has no more germs than anything else you touch !!!!

Stayed in Rm.44 for one night. the fireplace was awesome!

Stayed in Rm.44 for one night. There was no instant real coffee in the kitchen, only decaf sachets. hence the downturned smiley emoji and the facilities emoji being not so good

The ambience was great and perfect for having an old charm experience

Only thing I could say is we came back to watch footy in TV near fire, disappointed it wasn't connected. Wanted to stay as a group and not go back to our rooms to watch.

would 100% stay here again

the common areas, board games/cocktail bar, breakfast was really good. Sam at the front desk was exceptional

the walls seemed quite thin, could hear ppl talking in corridor, didn’t keep us awake or anything

Convenient and comfortable. Beautiful views of the mountains

The staff were wonderful and friendly. Our highlight was enjoying a drink by the bar in the evening listening to the pianist.

good location and friendly reception staff

someone (I'm guessing another guest) opened the door while we were laying in bed. Why are there keys when the doors don't lock? there were cobwebs all over the room. The sink tap was hard to turn to fully switch the tap off.

We had the mountain view rooms and the view was fabulous - clear sunshiny days and a stunning view!
