This very large property is perfect. A very short walk to central Carmel. It’s incredibly clean with everything one needs in a home. It slept 6 one night very comfortably. Most of the time it was two or three and every one had plenty of space. It’s a real find.

A Wonderful Stay at The Seahorse Getaway
A Wonderful Stay at The Seahorse Getaway
Our family enjoyed our lovely holiday stay at this spacious, clean, well-appointed home. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood that is walkable to town and the beach. Like many areas in Carmel there are a few small hills/inclines to climb to and from the house and town/beach. Really not an issue for any of us...age range 4-64. The kitchen was well stocked. We love to cook so appreciated having everything we needed as far as pots and pans, other cookware, utensils, dinnerware, BBQ, etc. The bedrooms were good size with comfortable beds with nice linens and plush towels in the ensuite bathrooms. (One bedroom downstairs does not have its own bathroom; it shares a bathroom with the other downstairs room. Just fyi) Management was helpful and attentive. As stated in a previous review the ice maker was not working. The property manager had it replaced during our stay. All in all, we had a wonderful time and look forward to renting again soon.

This large, comfortable home in the lovely residential neighborhood walking distance to Carmel village was a wonderful spot for our group of 4 adults to gather. Everyone loved the comfortable king-sized beds with very nice linens (and ensuite bathrooms, with very nice towels). There were a couple of minor things missing from the kitchen (ice, towels), and the house had a slight mildewy smell and some little ants in the kitchen. But the house was clean, comfortable and attractive, and the manager had left us a lovely box of chocolates and a bottle of wine, and had obviously sought to make sure there were plenty of cooking utensils (including a roasting pan, as it was Thanksgiving), as well as coffee and filters, and some oils and spices. One other thing, though the ocean (at Carmel Beach) is only about a 15 minute walk from the house, I am not sure why they call it "3 blocks". However far it was, though, it was worth it (just keep in mind you have to come back up hill!--a bit much for my 84 year old mother, but just fine for a couple of ok shape 57 year olds and a 23 year old). Management was very helpful when we first arrived in town with recommendations on where to get groceries and with directions to the house. He also very nicely agreed to let us check out two hours later than the usual time when our flight was pushed back much later in the day.
