About this house rental
Nestled in Sonoma County, this attractive house for $718 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our home is a perfect rental for two families or 3-4 couples. We have completed a 360 sq. ft. loft addition in late December 2016. The house AND casita sleep MAXIMUM of 8. (Children are included in the maximum of 8 and absolutely no exceptions.) Our home is very well maintained (one of number one reasons people appreciate our home) and tastefully decorated with a Sea Ranch/Pottery Barn look. The kitchen was torn out and completely changed to a gourmet kitchen in fall of 2023. . Four decks to enjoy panoramic amazing ocean and garden views. Easy walk to Shell Beach and privately located at the end of the cul-de-sac. Located on .5 acre with empty .5 acre lots on either side. Holidays (President Weekend, Easter weeks, Memorial and Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, are high season. Three gas fireplaces, 2 large HD television with DVR, hot tub, free wireless internet service included. Wireless will allow streaming (Netflex, etc). Main House: 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 queen sofa bed (top of the line American Leather brand) in loft, Casita (a second detached master suite): 1 Queen. There is an openness to this home not only inside with its many windows but outside too. The home is bi-level with 3 steps to kitchen and bathrooms. Unique to our house is the large open mowed space surrounding the house which has allowed for many a whiffle ball game, soccer, bocce, frisbee or kite flying. Bring your bicycles to enjoy either mountain biking on the trails or biking Leeward Road for a 8 mile roundtrip from our house on a road with little elevation change. TRANSIENT OCCUPANY TAX CERTIFICATE: 1086N QUIET HOURS: 10p.m. to 7 a.m. 2 Car Passes given. May have additional car in driveway without permit. We designed the detached 'Casita' for a unique suite with its own deck, gas fireplace, and spectacular views. Family & guests cannot decide which master suite they like best at the house. Our decks give you lots of options for sun or shade & protection from wind. The solar effect on the vast front windows keep the house toasty warm on cold days. Our home provides linens with the beds made so that you can enjoy your visit from the moment you walk in the door. You will find kitchen & 8 bath towels too. Through our years of renting, we discovered many homes lacked kitchen amenities. We enjoy cooking & decided to outfit the kitchen with good kitchen dishes, sharp knives, All-Clad style pots and pans, lots of spices and seasonings for the gourmet chef. Views from the kitchen windows will make you want to cook. The couch and window seats will draw you for a nap, reading a book, or watching the wildlife. Deer love to graze around the house . Don't be surprised to see hawks, turkeys, or a fox walk by. You can take a walk or bike ride to Shell or Tidepool Beach. The seals are always there, taking their naps or watching you as you explore the beach. Another favorite spot in the house is the game table (downstairs & upstairs) with views as you do a jigsaw puzzle or play one of the many games provided. One-Eyed Jack playground is a short distance away and our grandchildren love exploring the cypress hedgerow next to the playground.We are sure you will enjoy your stay and love the peacefulness & beauty of The Sea Ranch.

I celebrated my office manager's birthday with another coworker up at this property in Sea Ranch. It was such a beautiful and relaxing property that we never left except to enjoy dinner the first night of our arrival. Everything was labeled in the kitchen to make it easy to find what we were looking for. It was so quiet and a truly wonderful escape from the daily grind. Can't wait to come back again next year and do it all over again! 😁

Spacious and homey. Would stay here again. We had 2 adult couples who had their own bedrooms and 1 single in the loft (pullout couch). Plus another couple in the casita. Good parking on property, and easy proximity to the ocean. Only suggestions would be providing more bath towels, pillows, and pillowcases. Also one side of pull out couch is sagging. Otherwise, highly recommend. 😊

The home fits the style and character of Sea Ranch. The owners gave us complete instructions and were great at communicating. The house fit 3 adult couples comfortably. It was a nice place to land at night, and easy traveling distance to Sea Ranch Lodge, where we spent most of our time for a relative's wedding.

Our family loved the both the house and Sea Ranch. The house was very comfortable, with lots of common areas to relax and and very well stocked kitchen. We spent a lot of time walking the paths, seeing deer every morning, and going to visit the harbor seals. Would definitely return.

What an amazing home! We had a small family gathering and the house and attached casita offered exquisite views and every possible accommodation you could need or want. We have rented many homes over the years and we were truly impressed by how immaculate it was cared for and tastefully and comfortably furnished. We personally got to enjoy the master suite which was spacious, very private and had a massive soaking tub in the middle of the bathroom. One of our adult children loved the casita and the privacy and views it offered. The kitchen was fully equipped right down to a coffee grinder and espresso machine. There were windows and light everywhere and we were entertained by the deer and wild turkeys that frequently visited us everyday. We got to visit with family members while walking the many paths along the breathtaking coast.
The owners were incredibly responsive to our needs and made the experience seamless. We can’t wait to go back!

Everything we could have hoped for was delivered during our stay. The layout was perfect for privacy as well as our group get together. The kitchen and utensils was like being in my old restaurant. Everything in its place. So many compliments from my family who stayed and those visiting from other rentals they were staying at. We will be back for sure!

I rented many different Sea Ranch houses over about 20 years, and this one is probably my favorite so far. Location is very nice and the house is spacious and well-maintained. Master bedroom is borderline palatial! Our only regret was that we only had two night to stay there, but the host was very nice and granted our late check-out request.

We loved everything about our stay at Abalone Point - the property was very clean and comfortable. We loved watching the deer and wild turkeys in the morning from the deck. Location was perfect - so close to the beaches and walking trails. Very responsive communication with the host. We'll be back!

I rented the house and casita unit for me and my 3 adult children all who happened to graduate this year. The location is lovely and Peggy's instructions were very clear.
The one issue we had was with a chemical odor in the casita unit. I notified Peggy and thought it was from the hot tub, but it actually was more distince. In spite of having the windows and sliding glass door open for over 24 hours it didn't dissipate. I put a fan in there and it did reduce it but my son ended up sleeping in the main house with us because it was too strong.
I wish I would have had the housekeeper come and smell it initially because it was so strong and it seemed challenging to explain this.
Other than that we did have a lovely time but probably won't risk the casita next time. The weather was lovely and the seals were fun to watch and walking distance from the home.
