About this house rental

Located in Russian River, this charming house for $772 per night is a great choice for your next break. This is a great house to connect with friends and or family. Large open floor plan on the top floor with the Kitchen/Dining/Living Room all connected and centered around a wood burning fireplace. Downstairs in the Den is the TV with plenty of space to watch the game, movie or your favorite show. Originally built in 1925, it has been extensively remodeled and now has the modern amenities you are looking for (remodeled kitchen, baths and decks). The house was remodeled extensively in 2017 and has an old time charm with modern touches in the kitchen and bath. Cherry Creek Lodge is made for getting away from it all. Peacefully set over Holbert Creek, with two patios accessible from the main level and one off the lower. We have preserved most of the details and given it a modern twist. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and remodeled with granite countertops and other modern amenities commercial range, blender, toaster, microwave. There are two master bedrooms with Cal King Beds (one up and one down) along with a two room suite with a Queen and daybed with trundle. In the den we also have a Queen pull out sleeper sofa. There is one great room with the dining room and living room built out of old growth redwood with a working fireplace. Downstairs there is a wet bar in the den along with a 55" flat screen with cable and Netflix. The location is just West of downtown Guerneville and is very quiet and private but you are only a 5 min drive (1.5 miles) from the action of downtown or the public access to the beach. Please note we are on Holbert Creek and as the map shows, about .75 miles back from River Road and the Russian River. The Creek usually has water in winter, spring and into summer. Towards the ends of summer it will run dry until the rain in the fall. Fishing is illegal and there is access via some large rocks on the property or via an easy slope a few houses down in either direction. No dogs in the creek please. We do have a Nest camera that covers the parking area. In the event that due to circumstances beyond either of our controls (fire/pandemic/etc.) and we are not able to host you due to county or state orders, we will fully refund your stay per the VRBO agreement if you are inside the cancellation window. If it is too close to your stay, we will refund the cleaning fee and 1/2 of your stay. We will hold the other half as a credit towards a future stay of your choice. Sonoma County TOT#2901

I came here with my family for a get away trip to the redwoods. It has been great time, the house was very clean and we were able to make every meal there on the property. Overall I would recommend to friends and will definitely stay again for my future trips!

We had a fabulous time with family and friends at Brett's cabin on the river. We enjoyed eating at Saucy Mama's BBQ, hiking in Armstrong Woods (even in the rain), renting kayaks and hanging out with friends at the Monte Rio Beach. Brett's cabin is even better in person and is one of the best spots we've stayed in our many years of visiting Guerneville!

We stayed with our kids at the Creek House and it was a lovely weekend. The house is very spacious and the kids had their own separate zone. It's a very quiet area back off the main road. We loved cooking at the house and they had every utensil you could need for barbecuing and cooking. But the best part was the bed!! It was more comfortable than home! We'll be back!

The home was a nice space with an excellent layout for hosting families and friends. There were two living rooms (upstairs and downstairs) as well as three outdoor decks. Each of the bedrooms was spacious. The kitchen had plenty of cookware to make delicious meals at home. There were no issues with wifi or connectivity. The home overlooks the creek and you'll have a relaxing time on the deck listening to the water flow by. Brett was an accommodating host, providing plenty of towels, linens and basic home supplies.

This beautiful property (and its hosts) are highly recommended! Our family of four adults and one dog thoroughly enjoyed all that this amazing location had to offer for a long weekend. We felt like we were staying in a very upscale tree house, with gorgeous views in every direction. There are neighbors, yes, but at no time did we feel like we weren't in a private getaway. We loved looking at all the unique houses as we took long peaceful walks in the neighborhood. With the cooler March weather, we also loved using the hot tub and enjoying the games and puzzles in the well stocked cupboard. Since we like to cook and eat in, we really appreciated the very well appointed kitchen. Having large, comfortable and private rooms gave all of the adults our own space. Stay longer than you need to if you can!

Cherry Creek Lodge is a great, cozy spot for a family or small group of friends. Redwoods are beautiful and the house is quirky and comfortable. Beds and linens are super comfortable. The hottub is smaller than we expected (fits only 3 adults comfortably, and even then…) and lacks privacy with neighboring homes nearby. But overall a great weekend in the Gureneville area.

Brett’s home was exactly what we were looking for. It had the perfect size Creek/stream behind the property that our dog had a blast in. Hot tub was the cleanest I’ve seen. Everything was great and very clearly explained. We had a great time. Thanks Brett! We want to come back with more family because we didn’t even use the extra 2 1/2 bedrooms!!

We had a nice family stay at the house. We were in town for my MIL’s 75th bday and the long Labor Day weekend. Even though it was over 100 degrees outside and the house didn’t have AC, the house never got hot because it’s nestled in the redwoods. It actually stayed very cool. There were a few small issues with cleanliness; dirty dishes in the cabinets, musk from animals staying there, (they’ve addressed these concerns and were very receptive) and a small issue that they were in the works taking care of. Overall, it was a nice experience and the hosts even left us a bottle of champagne for the weekend stay. Thoughtful hosts, and cute home overall.

We loved this property even more the second time we stayed here! We spent most of our time on the massive deck taking in the gorgeous views while Barbecuing, playing cards, and enjoying the wine we bought at Korbel which is not far away. The hot tub is cozy, and sits at the edge of a creek. The house was lovely and accommodated us wonderfully.

The place was great for us (3 adults, 4 teens). Plenty of room for everyone. Really well equipped kitchen and super nice towels and linens. Plenty of decks to hang out on and look at the trees. This is a great, peaceful getaway location. Wish it was a smidge closer to the river (it's about .75 mi), but then we'd have to trade off the quiet of this country road. :-). Definitely a great place to rent.
