This remodeled and renovated cabin has been carefully furnished and decorated to be your home away from home in the mountains. The size of the bedrooms makes it an ideal choice for two families, or the perfect home base for a multigenerational family vacation. It is also great for three couples or 4 singles. The property includes 1 King bed in the master suite (as well as a day bed and trundle for kids), 1 Queen bed upstairs, 1 Queen bed downstairs, and a children's bunk room containing 1 Bunk bed as well as a Twin bed. Family meals are a breeze, thanks to the well-equipped kitchen. There is also a Weber BBQ on the front deck if you like to grill. More importantly, the dining room has seating for 8-10 people…although, with the patio out back, you may prefer to dine al fresco in our tree grove. There is an abundance of things to do and see in and around Truckee and nearby Tahoe City. During the summer you can hike, bike, ATV, river raft, paddle board, Jet Ski, rent a boat, etc. And, during the winter, you are in easy reach of the best skiing that North Lake Tahoe has to offer - including Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows), Sugar Bowl, and Northstar. Plus Tahoe Donner's family-friendly downhill ski area is only 2 minutes away! With our property, you also have access to all Tahoe Donner Association guest amenities via 2 guest passes (each allowing up to four guests). Amenities include the Northwoods Clubhouse (with Pizza on the Hill, a swimming pool with a water slide, bocce ball courts, horseshoe pit, tennis courts, and a huge outdoor playground), the Trout Creek Recreation Center (with its state of the art fitness center, sauna, steam rooms, hot tubs and additional swimming pools...plus a sledding area in the winter), the private Beach Club Marina at Donner Lake (in the summer), the premier Tahoe Donner Golf Course, and the Equestrian Center. Guests are charged a small daily fee ($17 per person, over age 7) at the time of use, which is good at all Tahoe Donner amenities that day. However, if you are simply looking for some family downtime, then cozy up to the fireplace, watch a movie on the flat-screen TV, or pull out one of the many family games in the living room. NOTE: Our home sits on over ½ an acre and, as such, is very private and peaceful. Our two-car garage is available for your use, and the driveway is big enough for an additional three cars. Two Tahoe Donner guest passes (each admitting up to four people over age seven) are provided with the property. NO PETS are allowed as the owner’s children are asthmatic and have sensitive immune systems that can negatively react to pet allergens. IMPORTANT: Our home is best suited for 3 couples and up to 5 children. It is NOT suitable for more than 4 single adults. The bunk bed is for children only - as is the day bed and trundle in the master suite. ADDENDUM: Effective 2019, Tahoe Donner has put in place a set of rules for all rental properties. Failure to comply with these rules may result in fines. Should a fine be incurred due to a rental guest, it will be deducted from the security deposit. By confirming your booking, you are agreeing to the following rules. NOISE that is “an unreasonable annoyance or nuisance to neighbor(s)” is prohibited after 10 PM. OUTDOOR LIGHTS OUT after 10 PM. PARKING VEHICLES off-pavement, on other person’s property/driveway or on access easements is prohibited. (Town of Truckee winter parking ordinance prohibits parking on streets Nov. 1 to April 30). TRASH must be locked up in the bear-proof container on our driveway.
