The cottage was great. The layout of the room was good. We didn't have any problem with noisy neighbors. The location, being in the park, is ideal. The Wild Rose restaurant on the property was good.
A microwave would have been nice. Also, more than one mirror in the bathroom would have been nice. Additional restaurants are needed. A casual and affordable dining experience that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner without reservations is sorely needed.

Prachtige locatie in Death Valley, met general store voor eten en drinken.
Als je op de dagvan aankomst nog in a la carte restaurant wilt eten dan blijkt dat niet meer mogelijk omdat alles al vol zit met reserveringen.

Great pool, beautiful grounds
Exorbitant, and I mean exorbitant, prices for food, etc.
6.0
The hotel has a great location and a nice swimming pool and a well stocked general store.
There is no maid service, no refreshing of towels. We stayed five nights and had to go to the linen closet to get some extra towels, coffee for the coffee maker and toilet paper when we ran out. The main restaurant and ice cream store closed for a day or two because of lack of staff. The waits at the front desk were very long. They need more staff there, too.

Location near by all main sites and in middle of the park it is an experience ! The room and the facilities are really pot and you will pay excessive price for this that’s it ! Personel OK
Sound proofing really poor in the room
as everywhere in US, overall renovation is needed (electricity boarder line) restaurants are expensive and really poor in quality no Tea, no hot chocolate just coffee and sodas even for breakfast! Anyway that’s it you pay for location so be happy 😃

Location. The site and easy acces to points of interest
Food options. Restaurant gets booked up fast. The buffet as the next best option is average. Options for vegetarian very limited. Pizza would help.

Good facilities eg. Pool and well themed surrounds
Housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30am when there was no housekeeping included in our stay.
Everything was really expensive eg. $8 a gallon for fuel, expensive meals, when we already pay high price for accomodation

Gute Lage in der Mitte von Death Valley.
Lounge und Schlafzimmer mit zwei Betten.Badezimmer sehr gut
Wie immer die Klimaanlagen

Location is interesting but be sure to go in decent season (November to April). The hotter seasons make everything more difficult. Staff was nice.
The room felt like it wasn't clean. The AC is too old to keep up the great heat and the walls and ceiling fan had inches of dust. For an allergic to dust like me it was really hard to sleep.

Nice hotel in the middle of Death Valley. Very good restaurant. Nice swimming pool open until 11pm. Be careful: the rooms have no real air conditioning, just a fan. In the summer, it can get quite warm

Being right in Death Valley NP it was great after a day in the heat knowing the hotel was close by. After easy check in we were straight in the pool, towels provided by the pool were an added bonus. Nice room, comfy beds. We didn’t book a table but managed to get a table for 4 in the saloon. Great for an overnight stay in the middle of nowhere !
The restaurants and General Store are expensive, the food was ok , we just had 4 starters to share so wasn’t too bad but you are in the desert so I think the cost is expected.

Room was quite old, Pool not so clean (water smelled a bit)

one of few hotels in Dewey valley
room was dirty and out dated. over priced really more like a motel rather than a 4 star hotel. smelly rooms.

it was a good location very clean very nice staff
the only good food was in the saloon the buffet and food in the ice cream parlour was almost uneatable.

Thin walls. We heard the people next door talking loudly early in the morning.
When we checked out, no one asked how our stay was.

The check-in staff member was nice.
It was a total rip-off. They clearly have a monopoly on accommodation in the area, and take full advantage of it. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed before we arrived, and the hallway looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Local food options are outrageously expensive and poor, and of course, the rooms don't have microwaves.
About an hour after we had checked in, a staff member from the hotel unlocked our front door and entered the room without knocking. She seemed surprised that we were there and didn't really seem apologetic.
Next time I'll just camp again, which was a much better experience.

It was a nightmare. I called on Saturday to add Saturday to my reservation. They did not tell me the hotel did not have electricity.
Upon arriving and after finishing the registration I was told about the lack of electricity, internet, food availability, etc.
Temp at night was 33. we asked 3 times for blankets, finally I had to go to registration to get them.
The hotel cooked hamburgers and hotdogs, $20 and $15. We should have been comped.
If any one had any emergency in the rooms had to drive to the front desk for help.
A hotel of this price should have generators for the rooms building to provide heat at least.
Unacceptable for a property ran by a large corporation owned by Windstar Liners. Xanterra claims about sustainability, green footprints, but forgot comfort for their guests, not having generators for these eventualities
Read above paragraph.

it was a beautiful setting in a great location in the park.
prices were too high for food
9.0
Perfect location within the park. Easy walk to shops and restraunts. We had 5 people and with the pull out bed it accommodated our needs. When we needed anything the front desk was right on it.
Not enough surface space to accommodate the gear of 5 people. It would be nice to offer hooks in various places to hang clothes and wet towels for so many. It took many trips to shuffle our gear from the car parking lot to the bungalow so it would have been nice with a wagon or dedicated helper on a golf cart.

Good location for exploring Death Valley.
Room was not cleaned during our stay. On—site restaurant, store, and gas station were all much more expensive than those at Stovepipe Wells.

Good location inside the Death Valley NP. The staff is friendly, the cabins are nice and clean. The outdoor pool is warm enough for a swim in January, so that was a bonus.
Wi-fi was spotty, but worked. The beds were comfy.
There are not many alternatives in the area and they overcharge for everything. It's really much too expensive for what it is, especially if you travel in the peak season as we did (right after New Year). Also, the prices at the store and in all the restaurants are really high ($5 for a yogurt or a small pack of chips, etc.).
Be sure to get fuel before you arrive here because fuel prices are about 1.5-2 times higher inside the park.
