This wonderful apartment is within walking distance to all of Edinburgh's attractions, including Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood House. It is also a 10-15 minute walk to the train / tram / bus station. The apartment itself has a lounge/kitchen with windows overlooking Edinburgh's most historic street - The Royal Mile. A comprehensive fully functional kitchen with all appliances is accessed from the living room. The master bedroom with double bed has built in mirror wardrobes. The second bedroom also has a double bed and mirrored wardrobes. All bedrooms are at the back of the apartment where there is no street noise. A main bathroom with lovely bath, shower above bath, WC, sink and towel rail, completes the accommodation. An absolutely stunning property in an absolutely stunning location. Well appointed 2 bedrooms consisting of double beds. Fully functional kitchen with all mod cons, including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer. If you wish a meet & greet inside the terminal, there is an additional £5 cost. The return journey from the apartment to the airport is also £35. The flat was centrally located on the Royal Mile. It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The stairs were a little tricky with luggage, but otherwise it was great.

The owner is very friendly and responsive. The unit had a washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and most of all the shower had endless hot water. The location was perfect; however, the stairs are not easy, (I am 78) but that is what is to be expected for that part of the city. Overall, the apartment was clean and coinvent and we were pleased.

This is a wonderful property in the heart of Edinburg in the middle of the Royal Mile. We traveled with our 21 and 13 year old daughters and it was perfect - even had fans for the summer weather. The front of the apartment allows views and sounds from the Royal Mile if you choose to open windows- while the back rooms are quiet for sleeping. Property owners were amazing - called to make sure we’d gotten settled ok. Highly recommend and would stay again - even with getting the luggage up the stairs!

This flat is in the ideal location to explore the Royal mile, and is very close to the train station. Just know it is an uphill climb from Waverly! The flat is gorgeous and comfortably appointed, and we enjoyed opening our front windows to the fun of High street in the evenings and got to see a dance group and hear bagpipes. We’ll stay again, for sure!

This property was in a perfect location to view all the tourist sites in Edinburgh simply by walking out the front door. There was plenty of room for three of us and we enjoyed sitting in the living room after a busy day and before heading out for the evening. It was surprisingly quiet inside the apartment even though it is in the middle of the Royal Mile. The steps up to the apartment are like what you would experience climbing a lighthouse but you are in a very old building. Meeting other visitors on the stairs with luggage was amusing. I was a little confused which lock to put the key into when we arrived but Shahid, the host, answered my phone call immediately. He was also very helpful with dinner suggestions and the travel to the back to the airport. I would be very happy to stay here again!

Wonderfully location in the middle of the Royal Mile. Can walk to everything. Easy bus ride from airport to Waverly station and 10-12 minute walk. Easy checkin/get key. Yes the stairs are a bit steep and circular but a non issue for us. Unit is perfect for 4 people. Beds were super comfortable. Grocery store around the corner. We loved having the windows open to hear the bagpipes and hustle and bustle.

So it's hard to believe how magical this place was!!!!! Spacious, close to everything actually in the middle of everything but I never felt on display. Our little gate and stairwell was very private. The stairs were pretty serious but we managed our heavy luggage up and down fine. The bed was super comfortable. The "fireplace"(heater) was fun. Our host was wonderful. Oh and right next door had wonderful coffee! I highly recommend!!!

This location is perfect right on the royal mile. Be aware if you’re coming from the train station the gps will take you to a cut through that has lots of step outdoor steps. The steps up to the apartment can also be difficult to navigate with luggage. If you’re not a sound sleeper you will hear people walking up the royal mile in the wee hours of the morning coming home from pubs. The home was very clean. Great open floor plan with the living room and kitchen. 2 double beds were perfect for myself and a friend in the other room. Laundry facilities in the apartment were an issue for us. It is a washer/dryer all in one machine which we are not familiar with coming from America. The washer was not hooked up properly which the owner took care of fairly quickly. However the dryer part of the machine also did not work properly which we didn’t discover until late at night on our last night. We spent a considerable amount of time through the night into early morning trying to dry our clothes by wringing them with towels and using the hairdryer and iron. I was disappointed that the owner did not offer any compensation for our troubles especially since I asked prior to booking if they had a clothes dryer. Overall a good stay.

If you want to truly be in the heart of Old Town Edinburgh, feel the charm and the vibe, but enjoy modern amenities in a lovely flat literally overlooking the Royal Mile, this should be atop your list. Our two-night stay kicked off our time in Scotland, and it could not have been a better beginning. Host was very quick to reply to inquiries, helpful and professional. Place was more than tidy, cute, and welcoming. We loved it - and we think you would, too.

A very comfortable apartment with a grand view of the Royal Mile. Despite its central spot, it is quiet, as the windows block almost all of the street noise. The bathroom has been nicely redone with instant hot water in the shower, and my only complaint was the limited space to put toiletries and such in the bathroom. The owner was highly responsive to a couple of emails, replying almost immediately. The only caution for potential renters is that the flat is up a set of very old circular stone steps. It is a bit precarious, but there are handrails. But if someone can’t carry their bags up circular steps, they should look elsewhere. The rail station is only about five minutes walk away, straight down Fleshmarket Close. You can’t get a better location than this.

Great place to stay while in Edinburgh. Location was fantastic in the middle of the old town area. It was a challenge taking up suitcases two floors using a spiral staircase but we managed. The key system is a little tricky but no problem after we understood it. Never did figure out how to let guests in with a buzzer? We definitely would like to rent again. Owner is very easy to deal with. We still give it 5 stars.

Great location, very clean. Washer dryer were hard to figure out, even with directions-we left with wet clothes because the dryer took too long! It is up several stairs so not suitable for people with limited mobility. Everything else was great and I would still highly recommend this rental.

Shahid and Nina's Royal Mile flat is a really lovely and spacious two bedroom sanctuary that couldn't be better placed to enjoy Edinburgh. Although located right on the most popular street in the city, it is very quiet due to the road being closed to traffic much of the time. Instead, you mainly hear the happy sound of street performers, bagpipers and appreciative audiences. The flat's beds are super-comfy and kitted out with high-quality linen. The towels are fluffy and plentiful. There is a big fridge-freezer and all the bits and bobs you really need to cook up nice things during your stay. Can't wait to visit again! The apartment was absolutely perfect. It was spacious, clean and light and the kitchen had all needed kitchen utensils. The location couldn’t be better for a weekend in Edinburgh - if you don’t mind a bit of noise from the street below (mainly living room).
