Situated in Okaloosa Island, this charming condo for $385 per night is a great choice for your next break. Located only yards from the snowy white beaches of the Gulf Coast, Sunset Cottages requires no driving, no packing the car with beach supplies, and no searching for parking spaces. You only have to walk down the boardwalk and over the dunes. Sunset Cottages is a small 19 unit complex that is located in the Santa Rosa Island National Sea Shores in an area called Okaloosa Island, which is home to several endangered or protected species. Unit 4B is a one bedroom, one bath unit located on the second floor that has a master bed room with a queen size bed, two built-in twin size bunk beds in the connecting hall, and couch that features a queen sized 8.5” luxury pillow-top mattress "Cozy Mattress" designed to feel just like a regular bed. While located only minutes from many restaurants on the island and in Destin, the unit provides on-site dining options with a full kitchen complete with full size refrigerator, stove and oven, twin deep sinks, and a dishwasher. A Publix grocery store is only three miles away and a small Tom Thumb grocery store is within walking distance. The unit also has a washer and dryer, overhead ceiling fans, and an upgraded air conditioner. Unit 4B has two balconies, one with French doors from which you can see the beach and one in the back over looking the swimming pool. Included in the unit is high-speed wireless Internet and high-definition flat screen televisions and Roku devices allowing instant access to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon movies and a number of other channels. So, just park the car and don’t move it your entire stay unless you want to visit the Destin Commons, Silver Sands shopping outlets, Okaloosa Island Gulfarium, or Big Kahunas water park, or any of the many restaurants (though many deliver).

Property is just minutes walk from the beach! Such a quiet area, very clean, and I really enjoyed my stay! I had to contact host with a minor issue with my access code but he immediately called me right back and resolved to issue! This was my first time booking a rental this way and I would definitely book with this host again! Everything went very smooth!

This was as an amazing location and you can see the gulf from the kitchen balcony! The beach access is really close by! I wanted to give 5 stars but I give a 4. The only reason I give a 4 is we only had 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 garbage bag for 3 nights and 4 days. I didn’t message the host about this because it wasn’t an “emergency”. There were 4 of us staying (2 adults and 2 kids). I will say if you utilize the fold out couch you will hear your neighbors upstairs. But overall an amazing vacation for our family! Come prepared and have a wonderful time!

This was a really clean and good location with just less than 5 minutes from the ocean. You can see the ocean from your room. They have a nice heated pool and the area is very quiet at night. You also get two lounge chairs and umbrella each day at the beach. The owner was really accommodating and responsive when we had an issue in the place. A suggestion to the owner would be that we would have loved a welcome book of sorts to tell us the local restaurants, activities, etc in the area.

The property was very clean and as advertised. While not beach front, it is a very short walk. Our only issue was the dryer didn’t work well and we had to dry clothes for several hours. It appears someone had been working on it. The dryer blows hot but the vent must be clogged. We highly recommend and would stay again!

Great property and great location - one big downside...the unit above this one is home to a heard of buffalo who run back and forth all day and into the night. There is a small sign at the bottom of the steps that warns people that the units are built with wood and that noise travels easily...unfortunately the buffalo didn't read or heed the sign. If you get lucky and have considerate neighbors you will love all of your stay here. To be fair, we loved our stay anyway...

Very nice place. The beach was great. Just about a hundred yards to the beach. Complimentary beach chairs and umbrella/s were great as well. No need for the canopy we brought with us. We will definitely be back. Loved it!!

We all had an amazing time. Location to the beach and everything else was perfect, but not too busy. Michelle was also amazing. She helped me out with all kinds of questions I had, and recommended places that we went to. Will definitely stay here again!

We had a really nice short stay at Jeff's place. Location was outstanding. After a long winter in Michigan and with only a short time for our vacation, it was just what we were looking for. We wanted to be close to the beach and that's exactly what Jeff's place gets you. We did not use the community pool but we were told it was nice and warm. Our only slight complaint is that the place is advertised to have high speed internet, but it was incredibly slow for us. I notified Jeff and said he was working on switching to a better service. Normally it doesn't matter to us on vacation, but we do like to stream movies and TV during downtime and it was so slow it would buffer constantly. Not a deal breaker though. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We LOVED staying here!!! Me and my mom came for a girls trip, and the place was perfect!!! It was SOO clean, it had everything we needed (minus some beach chairs), close to some good local food, and the 2 minute walk to the beach was so nice and easy! We will definitely stay here again when we come back!!!

Hey Y’all. Overall experience, very good.Met plenty of nice vacationing people. Condo, very Clean. If you want local tv programming, make sure its available, before you come. Would recommend your own, (Roku), ( Fire Stick )…Plenty of Things to do, local.. The Balcony setup, did not impress us. If someone above you, comes out onto their deck/balcony. If your not careful, something might just fall into your Bagel 🥯 or Coffee ☕️..😒😒😒 Oh by the way..Your very close to the Beach 🏖 But you cannot view it..From the Condo..It’s Down the sidewalk,over the Dune/ Walkway..😎🏖🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝Behind another building…But, the Beach is Marvelous..!!!!🏖🏝🏖🏝🏖🏝😎 Tim & Susan V.

This was exactly what we were looking for in a property. Easy access to the beach, easy parking, and comfortable lounge space. We loved it. Only complaint is that the bunk bed mattresses are VERY uncomfortable. The top bunk especially felt like a spring was about to bust through the mattress.

Second story condo, ideal for beach access, unit was clean had all we needed. Loved the washer and dryer so handy, bed comfortable and could have our small dog with us! Only down side was no prepaid beach chairs.

Steps to beach, our small dog allowed but furnishings are average at best. Condo might be fine for a long summer weekend but not great for 28 day winter stay. Unit was clean but pics don’t show the 20+ yr wear. No cable couldn’t watch sports or reg tv. Pool heater is broken. Manager was very responsive but this is a condo in need of updates.
