Welcome to Alamo City Getaway! Our goal is to provide a relaxing home so that you can have a memorable time in San Antonio. Before booking we kindly ask to keep our house rules in mind: Max occupancy is 8 guests, no parties, no pets, and no smoking indoors. If these rules suit your needs we would love to host your family. Located 4 miles from Sea World, 9 miles from Lackland, and 16 miles from Six Flags, La Cantera, and Downtown SA. We welcome BMT Grad Fams! Looking forward to hosting ya’ll soon! The Home Features: - *new* King Bed and full bathroom in Master Bedroom -Window Shutters and ceiling fans throughout -Private backyard with pool - BBQ Grill - Screened in sunroom - Indoor Laundry Room - High Speed Internet - 3 Smart TV's. Log into your streaming accounts with ease. - Fully stocked kitchen with baking, grilling, cooking needs - Kid friendly (toys/books/board games) The pool is always open but is not heated. If you are looking to swim in the winter months, the water may be too cold. Even during cooler months, our backyard is still a great place to stargaze and relax with the family! Our home is family friendly and equipped with a high chair, and pack and play. We are happy to set up the pack and play upon request. Guests will have access to the entire home with the exception of the garage. Parking available in the driveway. When booking please enter the correct number of guests to ensure adequate towels and toiletries. **Please respect our maximum occupancy of 8 guests.** Parties and gatherings are not allowed. Our home is strictly an animal-free/smoke free zone due to severe allergies. There are exterior ring security lights with cameras on the property and a ring doorbell at the entrance.

This home was one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed. No strong scents or allergens. Plenty of space to spread out and the pool was awesome. Close to plenty of shopping options and a completely stocked kitchen. Jay was so great to communicate with.

My family and I stayed at this property while on fall vacation! Everything was beautiful, lovely and exactly as advertised(maybe even better if that’s possible)! The owner, Jay, and his wife were sooo nice and wonderful to work with! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!! The pool, the sunroom, the oh so comfortable beds that hold you hostage! Everything!!!The only negative thing that we experienced is the fact that we had to leave!!! I highly recommend this beautiful home and hope I get the opportunity to call this place my temporary home again in the near future! Thanks Jay!!!

Excellent experience, would recommend
This house was perfect for my family of 4. We stayed in this house for a week. With four bedrooms and plenty of living space we never felt crowded like you would in a hotel room. When at the house we spent a lot of time in the pool and relaxing while avoiding the heat. The owner was pleasant throughout all communication and was helpful with local suggestions. I do recommend this property and plan to rebook on our next visit to SA. Thanks to the owner!

Your home was a wonderful place for our San Antonio adventure with the grandchildren. The older children loved the pool and the baby could crawl through out the house safely. The kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation and the beds were comfortable. Thank you, we may come back next year 🎉.

The house was nice and very clean, but we rented the house for the pool. It had green algae in the pool that you could move with a broom. Speaking with the manager he in formed us it was because of the rain that day. My grandkids were very disappointed that they could not swim, which is why we rented the house. Very disappointed with the whole experience.

This is a great property when visiting San Antonio. Close to everything.
Comfortable, felt like home & we had a group of 7. Plenty of room for all of us. The owner is helpful and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend.

House was just as described on the listing. We had everything we needed for a succesful stay. My family was visiting for the USAYESS National Youth Tournament at the National Shooting Center. The house was convenient, in a neighborhood that seemed and felt safe, and easy to get to. The pool was actually larger than we expected, and a great relaxing place for all of us after a long Texas hot day at the range. We would definitely choose this house again for next year's competition.

Definitely met our needs
House was just as described on the listing. We had everything we needed for a succesful stay. My family was visiting for the USAYESS National Youth Tournament at the National Shooting Center. The house was convenient, in a neighborhood that seemed and felt safe, and easy to get to. The pool was actually larger than we expected, and a great relaxing place for all of us after a long Texas hot day at the range. We would definitely choose this house again for next year's competition.

The house was decent but I would not pick this place again. The Kuerig was terrible to the point that we had to go out and buy a cheap $20 Kuerig type coffee maker at Walmart because the owner didn’t care. The washer and dryer were the worst I have ever used. We had to run things through the dryer multiple times to get things dried. And simple food stains were not getting cleaned off of clothes in the washing machine. The pool was a huge disappointment and it was the main reason we booked this place. Debris from an overhead tree was constantly falling into it (which is obviously outside of the owner’s control) but when we checked in there was a thick layer of debris/sediment on the bottom of the pool. The owner claimed that he had cleaned it that day before we checked in but you could tell that meant only skimming the top and not cleaning the bottom of the pool.

Family birthday getaway
Everything was just as it was advertised on line! I don't typically do VRBO for that reason but I am very glad i chose this home because it was great. There was plenty of room for 5 10 year olds to have a great time , great fun together. Everything was clean, well stocked and overall very well put together. The backyard area was the best!

Perfect house for our stay
We were in SA for Bmt graduation for 2nd son in 3 months- wish we would have found this house with first graduation! The house is large, clean, comfortable and bedrooms are far enough apart you aren’t disturbed by others and showers have good water pressure! (That’s a thing for me). The screened in patio and pool were soo nice but a little chilly on this trip to use- My son was able to come back and relax on pass and eat home cooked food he’d been craving. We grilled, had a nice fire in fireplace and did exactly what he wanted to do- just relax! The neighborhood was really nice and we had everything we needed within a 5 minute drive. We don’t have any more kids graduating from bmt anytime soon but if we did need to come back I’d definitely see if this house was available.

We stayed for a basic training graduation and enjoyed our stay. They had everything we needed and no issues at all. Easy access and centrally located. I would definitely stay here again.

BMT Getaway indeed
It is indeed a great location for BMT graduation. The neighborhood is quiet and nice and the house is about 15 min from Lackland. 4 bedrooms so you have plenty of room if you need it. There were only a few of us so we spent most of our time in the awesome screened-in patio in the back yard. We stayed in Jan so we didn't use the pool but I'll bet it's great when the weather is warm. The house was clean and organized and we really enjoyed staying there.

This house/property is awesome. We stayed in January and it was immaculate, close to the Walmart & AFB, and really made our visit seem like home. I recommend to any family attending BMT graduation ceremonies. Fabulous. Owner responsive. Great first VRBO.

Jay is very easy to work with. The house was ideal for our needs, in a nice location, and very close to family that live nearby. It was obvious that the property owner was available to help in any way needed which is great.

Great communication with property manager. He was very attentive and understanding.
Easy, breezy. I came to San Antonio for an extensive medical procedure and needed a place to recover. This house was perfect....one level, easy in and out (short steps for entry), master bedroom (with TV/Media) and bath for privacy. Only issues was a neighbor's dog barking...far side of the house from master suite. Property manager gave us the homeowner association security number to call if the dog persisted. Fortunately, it got better. I highly recommend this property for your next visit.

Southwest Getaway
Jay's property was perfect for our needs during our time in San Antonio. We were there for our sons BMT graduation, and had a lot of people with different flights and schedules needing accommodated. This house is about halfway between the airport and the base so it was a perfect location for us.
It was oddly cold for November so we utilized the fireplace every night and loved it.
Jay was quick to respond to any questions and very polite everytime we spoke. We will definitely book this house again if we come back into town.

Air Force graduation.
We were so looking forward to lounging by the pool and enjoying this beautiful backyard. However with Air Force festivities we were super busy all weekend. The house was clean and had everything we needed even the necessities so we didn’t have to run to Walmart as soon as we got it. We were 15 minutes for the base and traffic was never bad to and from. However, we always left super early and got home after 8 of an evening. Jay was super always got right back with us and made sure all of our needs were met. If we get a chance to visit San Antonio again Jay will be our go to.

Great house with plenty of room for the 6 of us.
Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. It's close to shopping and restaurants. We loved the pool area ! Jay was a great host and answered our questions very quickly. I would recommend this house to any one planning a stay in San Antonio.
