Said made us very welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. He was so friendly and informative. Our room (12) had the most fabulous view. Facilities were basic but beautifully clean and we were very comfortable. We loved the location and appreciated the excellent double glazing when we wanted quiet. If you want executive luxury blandness look elsewhere, but I doubt you'd find a better view or more genuine helpful host. We were pleased to stay 3 nights as the first night was dedicated to setting up a stage and giant screens for a major pop concert on our second night. A big surprise, but we embraced the experience with our ringside view of the concert. Lovely on our last night when the Grand Place was restored to normal. Would fully recommend a stay at this hotel.
The overall experience far outweighed the slightly shabby facilities.

The location and staff are top notch!
A heritage property that is showing its age, especially rooms in the back of the building.

The location is in the heart of The Grand Place.
This is not an easy location to get to. The square inside the Grand Place is closed to vehicles after 10am. If you take a taxi you will still need to walk with your luggage on cobblestones. Same for other transportation methods.
We had a basic room with no view. We weren't planning on spending much time in the room, so no need for added expense. But, a picture on the wall would have been nice or some color in the room. The hallway and room looked very much like an institution.
There was only someone at the desk in the morning, and when they expected someone to check. If you needed something, they left a number to call, or contact thru WhatsApp. It was just very different from a normal hotel room.
