Clean, well located. Good amenities and lounges.
Restaurant gets very slow when busy. Standard rooms are quite small and some overlook the car park which isn’t great for the price and location. Have stayed in much cheaper hotels with a better view

Hot Tub right outside our room. Large bathtub in-room. Staff was super nice and friendly, except for meals where they seemed "rushed." Free electric car charging was great. Bed was comfy although not at all a proper "king bed" as promised, but rather the standard scam of two twin beds pushed together so there is a gap running down the middle, and then covered in a king pad and sheet. Good breakfast buffet included. Plenty of hot water, but that is the case with almost every where in Iceland. Good selection of shampoos, etc.
Ridiculously over-priced for what you get - more like a 3 Star hotel, and definitely not 4 Star. Room was insanely small, like it was made for one person, not a couple, with an utter lack of shelving and drawers / closet space for clothing for two people. The room desperately lacked ways to cool down the room for sleeping (in the summer) - had to use a duvet cover without duvet - no A/C, no Fan - your only options are to open the window a bit or leave the door to the outside open (which can let bugs in). Its like the place was made for winter tourism and they leave the building heaters on all the time (we turned off all radiators in our room and it made no difference). Our only bad experience with the staff was a manager who lied to us r.e. any sort of DIY laundry and told us the nearest was back in Reykjavik and then pushed us to use in-house laundry (no!), when in fact a simple google search revealed a company called "Icelaundry" who plants DIY laundry machines in campgrounds around the country, with one 20 minutes away where we spent $20 to do many kilos of laundry instead of paying Ranga 100's of dollars for the same! No joke Ranga wanted $15 U.S. to wash one pair of jeans - no thank you! The dinner menu is sparse and grossly overpriced (like most things at Ranga), and to be honest the chefs have the "sawdust" touch - like the Midas touch but instead the end result is that everything is bland. For a superior quality meal all you need to do is drive to Selfoss to an amazing "food court" style building where everyone goes to eat because the food is fantastic and much, much cheaper. Ranga has a pool table but the condition was surprisingly tattered.

Luxury level hotel in a quiet, rural setting on a small river; great decorations and amenities; loved the hot tub in the room in addition to the three outdoor ones; nice pool table room; great stuffed polar bear to greet you; upscale restaurant with excellent service; expensive, but quality food and service; great buffet breakfast

Our favorite place we’ve stayed so far. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, with a cute private deck and hot tub access.

Clean -comfortable -delicious food
Price - we loved the feeling of a fishing lodge in Wyoming/Montana where we reside, but quite simple lodging for the price point.

Clean and the staff were exceptional and the food. I don’t like fish and presto but I tried the cod dish and it was divine!! At check out, we were late with breakfast with the jet lag and they were able to whip up a tray with crossaints, bacon, yogurt, ham and cheese and hash browns to serve us. Thank you:)

The hotel offers a differentiated service in a nice location, nearby very impressive attractions. Staff is friendly and helpful!
The hotel have several flaws in their facilities: some broken, some closed. In general the overall experience could be substantially improved in multiple areas.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. The location is in the middle of nowhere, a plus point for the northern lights. Clean and comfortable. The floor heating is really nice.
The restaurant is too expensive for the food it offers. It is not bad, but average and with a really small variety. The room was a little small for 3 people and you could perfectly hear what tv programme the neighbours were listening to.

The staff we so friendly and helpful. Breakfast amazing. We arrived and were only meant to be staying 1 night but got stuck at the hotel with an orange weather (all roads) closed. They helped us not to worry and made sure they we were looked after, in what could have been a horrible situation.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was amazing!
The location is perfect to see the northern lights
As it was coming up to Christmas, a present was left on our door from "santa". It was a lovely touch.
We didn't get to see the Northern Lights but that wasn't the hotels fault!

A great location for aurora watching- which we did! The food was exceptional- both breakfast and dinner. Very friendly staff and owner. we loved the outdoor hot tubs. Little touches like scraping the ice off the car for us- really made a difference
The bathrooms are a bit tired- could do with refurbishing
