The staff are amazing, they are helpful and friendly and will do everything they can to help. The location is super central but away from noice to sleep. Everything I wanted and needed was all walkable distance from the venue.

The staff are super friendly and helpful
Room was clean
Lobby area outside room nicely furnished
I wouldn’t really describe it as a boutique hotel
It’s a small hotel within a old style pub
Rooms are small and clean basically furnished

The location was great. The theme of the hotel was interesting and pleasing to the eye. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The WiFi speed was sometimes slow and slightly frustrating but was okay overall.

Breakfast was nice and staff was very polite and friendly.
The windows in the two rooms we had cannot be opened but the rooms would definitely need to be aired out.

The location.
Room was very dark. 2 tiny windows in the corner of the room and one had been blacked out.

The location and its quirkiness.

Great location. Staff very helpful when there wasn’t a tv remote in the room.
Missing the “boutique” label attention to detail in relation to bathroom cleanliness - a lot of black mould on the shower cubicle. The room was very cold, the air conditioning unit extremely noisy but needed for warmth

Great location
Unable to open windows as they were both locked shut...room smelt a bit damp..no fresh air...

Really warm and friendly staff. Delicious ales in the bar as well. I will be back next time I'm in Manchester.
Comfortable bed in a clean and stylish room.
No negatives at all

The place is ideal for getting about to all Manchester has to offer. The staff are lovely. A place I'd come back to.
Sometimes you can hear the goings on in the pub but nothing drastic.

love the boutique pub style accommodation nice. and quiet and close to everywhere we wanted to visit perfect for exploring Manchester NQ and centre bars and shopping
feel the bar area is a bit tired and floor in the booth areas very dirty needing a bit of a refurb in some places. but this didn’t affect our stay.

Took my Mum to Manchester for a city break. The Abel Heywood was a great place to stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and very warm. We also strongly recommend the food in the bar, which was delicious and very reasonably priced. The hotel had a lift and secure key card doors throughout the building. Highly recommend the nearby Manchester Craft Centre, which hosts a community of jewellers, glass and ceramic makers, and other artists.
On first arrival, appeared to be a bit out of the way, but we soon found our bearings. Definitely worth exploring the area.

Great location but still nice and quiet in the night. Friendly staff and a quick check in process and easy check out. Room was clean and good temperature controls as usually hotel rooms are hot and stuffy but this was great.

The third time staying here, great pud, great location, nice pud to have a drink, nice atmosphere.
The breakfast was lovely, but I had to pay extra for the coffee, and there was no brown sauce for breakfast.
Parking was just opposite and it was only £20 for 24 hours, but on a Web site it said you would get a discount of £10. Apparently, this offer is no longer available.

We loved our stay at Abel! Amazing service from check-in to check-out, loved the restaurant food/drinks and staff as well. Room was comfy and had everything we needed including delicious tea to end and start our days with. Can't recommend enough! Everything was wonderful!
Nothing, we loved everything about our stay!
