Very nice comfortable units with welcome air con in the summer heat! Good facilities, pool and friendly staff. Reasonably priced dinner and a nice bar area.
As most people have said, the WiFi is only available around reception but they let me into the office area for a zoom meeting I had booked so not a problem as such. I believe they are working on an upgrade.

It was a well spread out location. The villa was simple, clean and well cared for. I had AC in my room but didnt need the time of year I visited. Drinking and eating on the deck is an absolute treat - wonderful views overlooking the lake, especially at sunset. We got to see monitor lizards, lots of monkeys and a very shy bush buck on the property... at night you heard the occasional hippo. The guide who took us fishing was great and knew the Zambezi region very well.
I would come back again in a heartbeat. We didn't have wifi in our room but its available at the reception. It was great for us because we wanted to disconnect and enjoy our time together. They were in the process of installing skylink while I was there so I believe this will improve connectivity if people are concerned.

Wonderful staff. Good food. Beautiful location under the trees. Grass! On the river! Canoeing on the river for free! Lovely hot shower.
Poor internet. Would have brought more of my own drinking water had I known. Would have loved it if each tent faced the water, or were further apart.

This was a pure but comfortable camping experience . The sleep had in this lodge was out of this world as it is a serene place and we had the river view. The sunset was breathtaking and so lovely to watch. The service is also amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay . We wished we had booked more days but unfortunately for us we had to leave Namibia. But I will highly recommend this lodge .
Nothing at all

We enjoyed our two nights here , the lodge was quiet as it’s low season . The food was good and plentiful.
Zane the owner was really helpful and welcoming , he gave us lots of local information and was on hand checking in with us each day .
The room had everything we needed and was very clean and well maintained.
On the first night we felt a bit rushed by staff to eat early as we were the only guests , we declined to do that & ate at 7pm which is the normal time apparently. Also breakfast information times for the following day was a little scarce that evening with 8.30 am definitely the favoured time for the lady 🤣

My Family and I had a beautiful experience, a very comfortable and lovely place, and the owners were such kind people, I would book it over and over again. Thank you for having us

The view and silence
The lady owner was extremely rude upon our arrival. I was kicked out of their tiny pool twice well before sunset because 'night swimming' was not allowed. They later tried to make up for it with fake friendliness towards my son but anyone can see past that.
They were informed in advance that we would be having lunch and dinner there and they said they would organise some food. It never happened. Was informed after we had checked in that they don't make lunch. They could have told me that before hand and I would have packed more food for my little one.
On our second day, the toilet facilities stopped working and we were told maintenance would come the next day, luckily, it was also our last day.
Breakfast was nice as it had a variety of foods to choose from. However dinners were low cost with ridiculous prices. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially not locals.

Unpretentious and straight forward good quality lodge. Friendly owners who made me feel at home immediately. Owners have a great sense of humour and and give as good as they get in friendly jibes. Loved that!
No bananas.

Zina and Zane are incredible hosts, they made sure we felt at home with incredible meals and even providing bicycles for the kids. Few travelers actually take the time to stop near Katima Mulilo, Mutoya lodge in itself, not to mention the whole Caprivi strip/Zambezi region makes its worth the trip!

Zane and Zina and their staff are super professional, very attentive to their guests' needs, very knowledgeable about the area and do everything to make sure their property is immaculate and guests are happy. We LOVED taking the canoes out regularly into the lake to birwatch and eating delicious meals on the balcony overlooking the water. It was magestic. Thanks again!

I liked everything, the staff was amazing. Waking up looking at the river view from the cabin was amazing
Maybe about the boat cruise that wasn't present at this time but we were told it was due to heavy rains. We took a walk though in the village and it was great.

A beautiful place in the floodplains of the Zambezi region in Namibia. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can make a canoe ride for free and see a lot of birds.

Great choice for a relaxing few days away on a beautiful section of the river. Exceptional viewing on birds on the river excursions. Hands on owner management of the lodge and you can see it in how well the lodge is run.

The stay was perfectly pleasant but at the price there are several lodges in the vicinity that offer more. We had the impression that everything was rather scaled back because of Covid and the lack of visitors. Meals were quite basic and the cruise on the Zambezi was unremarkable.
Not really much to do or see in the area.

This place is close to paradise. The big trees, birdlife, friendly staff, lovely home cooked dinner....everything was just great. We will certainly go back to Mutoya lidge.
That we had to leave and go back home.
