The stay in this house did not meet our expectations by a long shot due to various reasons!

- Nice location in the small village of Wanlin, close to the highway, but nothing more than the sound of nature, and, the neighbor who was trimming the hedge and mowing the grass :). - Good bed and quiet bedroom, which we enjoyed with a good amount of sleep.

- First of all: When we finally arrived after some setbacks with traffic jams and a crying baby, the first thing we heard from the owner on the phone was: "You're late". Not a warm welcome after such a long journey and certainly not hospitable. We even changed the time of arrival during our drive, so we were very surprised about this; - When we arrived we had to call the owner for the place of the key and the code. In the Booking app there was a message we should get a message with the code before arrival, but this wasn't the case, a bit confusing; - The WiFi connection didn't work during the complete week we stayed in the house. I had to call the owner about this and needed to reset the modem and try different things to get it working, but in the end, it still didn't work. Not so nice if you want to listen to some music playlists and it costs me a lot of data; - When we arrived we had to turn on the boiler ourselves and it took hours before it gave some hot water. Not great when you arrive late after a colder day and you want to get a hot shower. Also with a baby of 2 years old, you're hoping to clean some stuff on arrival; - The skillets were old and even with a good amount of butter or oil, half of the ingredients still burned; - We booked a cot for our baby, it costs us €10,- a day, and we had to assemble it ourselves. A little bit too much of the good thing when you pay €80,-; - After our visit, we received an angry message from the owner that there were dog hairs everywhere and that we had shown no respect! for the cottage. We cleaned everything before departure (more than is normal for a house), but it is not surprising that dog hair can be found in some places (just like human hair). It seems normal to me that you take a vacuum cleaner through the house before the new guests arrive, otherwise not very hygienic. The owner wants to charge € 40 for this. Pretty outrageous if you ask us;

Beautiful big garden and a very quiet place. Kitchen had anything you need to cook

The house was not clean. The freezer was super dirty with a frozen chicken inside. I didn't even dare to check the date. The coffee machine was broken. The barbecue rack was so dirty that it was unhealthy to cook. The tables outside were dirty. We used a full bottle of cleaning spray to bring them to an acceptable state. The net for the kitchen door to keep the many many flies away was broken. The best part is that the owner who did not show up to deliver the keys or when we left he called to complaint that we didn't empty the dishwasher, and that we didn't clean the tables outside. The best part is when I told him that the barbecue rack was super dirty and his answer was: what you expected me to clean it? We paid 70 euro for cleaning fee so yes you clown, we were expecting you to clean it. There is absolutely nothing in the village. Not even a mini market. You try to escape from the city for a few days and you end up in the car all the time.
