A good b and b in a good location.

Our host, Susan was exceptionally welcoming and a great host. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was excellent.

Stairs were narrow. The shower in one of our rooms was difficult to operate and hard regulate the temperature. Rooms were quite small.

Lovely BnB with and amazing host.

Great property located in the edge of town. Host was amazing, thank you Susan. She catered for my vegetarian request at breakfast, allowed me to park in her driveway. Always happy, smiling and willing to help. Would stay again.

Nice stay. Would recommend to others.

Lady was really nice and friendly, provided us with extra portable heater in case weather/room gets cold. The room was not facing the main road, hence no road noise. But can hear water running across pipes in rooms (which was not a bother). We removed shoes when we entered the house, which kept the stairways / rooms clean. Had tea and coffee provided in rooms. Shower was hot. Great overall.

Great short stay

Quick booking in. Everything we needed for our stay. Cannot comment on food because we went to family.

Parking was a little difficult, but we managed to find another street to park.

A bit of a let down

A friendly welcome. Room & bathroom were very clean.

We thought we had booked bed AND breakfast, but it appears guests need to specifically request & arrange breakfast and pay extra. Even the info in a photo frame in the room did not state this; it just said breakfast served between 8 am & 9 am OR by prior arrangement (we took that to mean an earlier or later time). We had a room on the front, so was a lot of traffic noise (Fri & Sat nights. We prefer to sleep with window open for fresh air, so probably not such an issue for others who would close it. Room lacked some TLC - the sealant applied on walls in shower / toilet room had not been smoothed & cleaned off, after it had dried. This applied inside the shower as well. Wood trim at skirting level was broken in one place and not finished off adequately. Untidy hole in wall where we imagine a previous toilet holder had been placed. A real shame as this detail would make such a difference to the overall feel. Room a bit cramped with 2 sets of room dividers and clothes hanging stand. A heads up to other guests: we were required to remove footwear upon arrival & leave on a shoe stand in entrance hall. Whilst we can appreciate the need to protect carpets, our room had hard flooring and also, not so sure about the hygiene of walking barefoot where others have walked also in bare feet. Take slippers! Overall, we feel we overpaid for getting no breakfast and a room that felt like it was still not finished properly. Sadly, we would not rate this a 4 star, although clearly we cannot comment on other rooms or food.

Lovely homestay with nice breakfast

Cute home stay that made you feel like home. Very quiet and the room was really comfortable with everything you needed. Lovely breakfast served at chosen time, good coffee and nice atmosphere too. Will definitely come back again.

Susan is such a great hostess. Great breakfast - I judge the breakfast by the sausages and hers were the best I've had this year. Bed was very comfy.

The room was a bit small, but workable. That's just the way those houses are.

Very nice host, great location.

Our host was very welcoming and helpful going out to get special milk and tea to suit our dietary requirements. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept on. The breakfast was enjoyable

The room was a little over furnished for the size and could have been laid out. The shower was small There was a fridge in the room but this was quite loud when it was on

Homely little B & B close to Canterbury East Station

This place is a homely, little gem. Susan, one of the owners, works very hard to keep the place clean, and always has a friendly word for guests. I was made to feel very welcome here, and would definitely stay again.

Very good

Comfortable room in quiet part of town, but close to the centre. Friendly and helpful staff.

The inside of the kettle was unclean, so I had to sort that.

Pleasant stay in a city that seems to have nearly everything!

Susan was a very pleasant host and the room was quite spacious.Although it is a little bit of a distance from the main attractions, the Park and Ride buses go from round the corner and run frequently.

I asked for breakfast which Sue willingly obliged. However it was a bit spartan for £10, I thought. Also the bedroom tended to be rather cold first thing.

Lovely hostess, room was great, easy walk to attractions. Bed great, en suite shower great... there was a kettle with plenty tea, coffee milk and biscuits. Shops nearby, but it wasn't noisy. The landlady was very kind and really made me feel at home. For my weekend in Canterbury, I was made to feel it was my home from home. I had a lovely weekend break on Carena House and I will definitely come again

I'd prefer to have a radio on at breakfast, news or music, something classical would suit Canterbury

Cafe Solo around the Corner for Breakfast, with the taxi you are in 5minutes in the town center. Susan were very helpful and welcoming.

Uhm it's called B&B but beside on Booking were no information about Breakfast and on Booking were only listed that the Breakfast would be 10Pounds. But that were no big issue.

Superb

The host was so nice and welcoming. She asked me what I wanted for breakfast so I had a tailored breakfast 😊 15 mins walk from centre and quiet. Clean and tidy room. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back.

Comfortable rooms, warm hosts, great location

Comfortable room, warm and welcoming hosts.Stayed here during my 2 day cycling expedition in and around Canterbury - it is perfectly located as a launch pad for explorations around the countryside. Highly recommend, would visit again.

Great value for money, spacious room, and close to both the city and Canterbury East station. Really enjoyed my stay at Carena House and look forward to coming again whenever I find myself in Canterbury.
