The buffet breakfast was excellent, the choice was amazing. The location of the hotel a 3 minute walk from Circular Quay is perfect for a tourist to Sydney. The views of Sydney Harbour from the swimming pool are superb, it blew me away on the morning that we arrived and has remained as one of the most vivid memories from our recent holiday. We arrived at the hotel at 08:00 and our room wasn’t ready nor were we expecting it to be, we were given access to the pool showers to freshen up after travelling for 28 hours and our room was then available at 10:30, just amazing client focused service.
Speciality coffee ordering at breakfast was a bit slow but quality was excellent.

숙박중에는 크게 불만 없었으나
체크인 선결제 하고나서 숙박이후 실제 사용비용만큼 환불해줘야하는데 환불을 해주지 않음.
카드 명세서도 이메일로 보내줬으나 답변이 없음.
무료조식임에도 불구하고 체크아웃이후에 비용이 임의로 결제됨.
상식적으로 허가없이 카드가 그렇게 마음대로 결제가 되는지 처음 알았음.
여튼 25만원정도의 비용을 돌려받지도 못하고 기분상한거 생각하면 다시는 숙박하비 않을듯함.

Great food, cleanliness, and all amenities. In room Nespresso.
The woman who checked us in was efficiently rude. The bar staff approached us to tell us we didn’t have club access publicly but apologized privately.

The room was spacious and very comfortable and having access to the Club Lounge and Aster for breakfast was wonderful. Our room was quiet and the air conditioning worked perfectly through the heatwave we experienced Afternoon tea and evening canapés were very much appreciated. The location was perfect for us, as we could park our car and travel all over by light rail and train. The view from breakfast is world class. The staff were friendly and attentive, I could not be happier with the polite service they gave us.
This is not a bad reflection on the staff. We thought that there could have been more attention paid to the general cleaning of the hotel (ie hallways, the floors under tables in Aster at breakfast - probably messed up the night before when Aster becomes THE bar to visit.) Our room was serviced beautifully and perfectly clean.
And again, not a bad reflection on the staff, Sunday morning breakfast in Aster was really busy and I felt sorry for the staff who worked so hard to service everyone but were overwhelmed and I think very much understaffed, this is an issue for Management. I would recommend the staff working here as they did their very best! First world problems ha ha!

對於已經習慣數位消費,且自己國家保障不會被收額外的服務費,(澳洲)使用信用卡會額外收取1.5%的費用,退房時因排隊等候關係,後來由旁邊到服務人員直接收房卡並說明之後會再寄帳單到信箱,不久即收到銀行消費通知,很驚訝費用與訂房時不同,兩天過後才收到收據,得知額外的費用項目。

OUR BAGS WERE STORED AND THEN DELIVERED TO OUR ROOM
NOTHING WAS TO MUCH TROUBLE FOR THE STAFF WHO WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP
IT WAS MY HUSBAND S BRITHDAY AND IN OUR ROOM WERE DRINKS AND A BIRTHDAY GREETING FOR HIM

I have been to the intercontinental a few times this year and was looking forward to my stay. The Guys that took our car on arrival were welcoming and great. Check in at the desk the reception was great. We stayed in city view and wasnt overwhelmed with the view or the room. I found the cleaniness wasnt up to its usual standards and walking through the corridors to our room on this floor there was white crumbs on the carpets outside the lift and walking along the corridor, I noticed it was like this the next day as well. We went to a show at the opera house and after we came back we stopped for a drink downstairs. The staff were slow to serve us and apeared to be uninterested.

The sound insulation of the hotel was so poor that you could hear the coughing sound of two rooms next door

After a long day we just wanted to check in to the room, have a quick bite to eat then rest, but the night was beyond disappointing.
Firstly, in room dinning: waited nearly an hour and had to call again to ask where the food is, been told there may be another half hour to wait. finally when food came, the center of the burger is pink, not cooked through according to the New South Wales food safety (71degrees for beef burger). had to wait for a remade one (took both burgers photos and showed to the manager in my room last night)
Secondly, there were multiple shoe prints and black dirts inside the bed on the bed sheets when I was going to bed. Called manager straight always to come to my room and to take photos of the sheets. I’m shocked that intercontinental sold me a room that is this filthy and disgusting. I couldn’t believe this happened to anyone. no one deserves this experience.
all I get was “I’m so sorry” but damaged is been done. this is for sure NOT the first time someone didn’t change sheets and not cleaned the room as per request and hope to get away with it, just the first time I caught it.
the next morning when I check out there is no investigation nor any manager come to ask me how was my night and give me any solution of my room. I had to ask to see the manager to give her my feedback. so to sum up, how is my experience in intercontinental after been a repeat guest here ( my for met stays were booked by other names). I have to say it is a big disappointment and a nightmare even manager keep saying I’m so sorry but this has nothing to do with her, it is the F&B department and housekeepingu department didn’t do what they promised to hotel guests, the basic, hygiene and safety.

The location and room are excellent
The staff at treasury bar was very terrible. They put the sign “wait to be seat”, and I was waiting there, the staff saw me and did not react anything. I was waiting for long time, and came to the table, the staff at Treasury bar looked at me just like “what are you doing here”? After that, he does not come to take order. I had to come to the bar’s counter to order the coffee. I think with Intercontinental Hotel service level’s expectation, it is simply not accepted

Nice hotel in excellent location.
We booked a room with two beds only to find on arrival this wasn’t available. In addition the room wasn’t cleaned one day despite us chasing this and being told by reception that this would be dealt with.
