The location was close to the city centre. Good facilities for cooking and helpful staff.
The double bed was a little on the small side for 2 people. Wifi connection was poor, as was the mobile phone network in the area.

Location, comfortable and very clean room, the common kitchen and living room were lovely. Very friendly staff

fantastic location, bedrooms were compact as expected but perfectly fine for what we needed, sheets were nice quality cotton, bath towels and hand towels were all good quality. the staff were all really friendly and helpful
we had 5 bed apartment but the kitchen diner is really designed for individuals…not a big deal but good to know in advance
Shower cubicles are tiny.

The location was super convenient, 10-15 minute walk to every location we wanted to go to including the train station. Staff were absolutely amazing and check in was very easy
The room was way smaller than we thought it was going to be based on pictures. The bathroom automatic light was extremely obnoxious when getting up for a night time pee. The bed was also very uncomfortable.

We had everything we needed and a very comfy bed! Location was great too.
No improvements needed, we were more than happy with our stay.

it is a good place to stay in edinburgh for groups. i like that there was a kitchen so we could cook our own meals if we wanted.
the shower was a bit uncomfortable, and some of the things were a bit worned.

The accomodation was quite close to the centre of Edinburgh. Just a two minute walk and you were on the Royal Mike.
I missed some pottery and pans to cook something in. Eventhough the oven was also fine, but we preferered to make our own food instead of the magnetron and oven foods. Also early in the morning (between six and Seven) they were loading the Tesco, that was quite some noise in the early morning.

These dorm rooms are in a great location and had pretty good facilities but I was in a studio so I had a kettle and mini fridge. The staff was kind and helpful
The dorms were dorms and you could tell they had been lived in and did not have the same level of cleanliness as a hotel room (especially the bathroom floor)
8.0
Good location within a few minutes of the touristic places but still calm (with a Tesco next door), very helpful staff and a clean environment in a student dorm (with nice common spaces like kitchen)
The noise of the fan in the bathroom and the lights of the bathroom that only turn off automatically, but these are the only points

location and price.
The fire doors slammed when people walked through them which woke us up multiple times.

Nice simple rooms
Deliveries all night to local businesses,to many seagulls & people banging doors or playing with the stairs railings all the time normally 2am

Tough question. Well - great location. Good number of towels. Ramps for those with accessibility issues.
NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY as advertised. Dirtiest accommodation we've ever stayed in! Pet and human hairs everywhere even ending up in the bed linen. Not enough seating. One mouldy desk chair. No bowls as there were being used to catch water at leaky radiators. No tin opener. Had to use blunt knife to open tin. A real disappointment for our family holiday to Edinburgh. Cheap but doesn't meet basic standards of accommodation lets. Had to give my card details on arrival for the deposit. Nothing worth £100 in the property. Choose somewhere else.

the small double bed is indeed small. however if one sets his expectation right, then the bed will serve the needs

Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff, they were brilliant!
Excellent location for the various Fringe venues, especially Pleasance and Cowgate and there are pleasant, modern communal areas
Rooms very clean and comfortable. Really good mattress, enough towels and decent water pressure in shower. Plenty of plug sockets/USB ports all within easy reach of bed/desk.
Large kitchen with great views of Arthur's Seat. Though not importantly: plenty of fridge-freezer space and decent sofas; could have done with a better side table, though! For Fringe guests there is cutlery provided which was a pretty good selection.
The kitchen sink leaked on the second day of my stay, though maintenance staff came straight out to fix it. It's not unreasonable that this happened though as it is student accommodation!

Great location. Friendly staff. Basic accommodation and kitchen/dining area very compact.
Location and having two bedrooms.

Good location; good value
Double bed with one side against the wall.

The location was good right next to the Tesco and short walk from the royal mile! The room was big
The room was cold in temperature and had a cold feeling to it. Really would not have liked to be a student living there!
The shower had mould on the sealant which is really concerning as mould can make people ill. The bed was really uncomfortable and hurt my back.
The lights popped constantly and the water system made loud banging noises. The tap in the kitchen was dripping so we had to mop up with the kitchen towel.
All this considered it wasn’t a super cheap place to stay so they weren’t things I could really look past.

Convenient and central location and close to a number of Edinburgh Fringe venues. Supermarket less than a minute away which was very handy. Quiet area which ensured a good night's sleep even at the height of the Festival season.

Good location, nice facilities and quiet.
Mattress a touch on the thin side, but comfortable nonetheless.

This place is in a great location and we loved it particularly for Edinburgh fringe. The bathrooms were clean, the rooms were clean and we found the place nice and quiet. The staff were helpful.
It's marketed as a place for 10 people and unfortunately we booked a 10 person flat and stayed with 8 people. It was poorly equipped. Only five seats round the table, one towel per room and five crockery sets. Luckily the accommodation were able to equip us with more towels and crockery but no seats. It was really a bit silly that we couldn't all sit in the shared area and felt a little short changed. The cooking utensils are basic and no basic food things were left (Salt/pepper). There was a wok (no frying pan) and two small saucepans, so couldn't even really make breakfast.
5.8
location and reception staff
sink almost blocked in bathroom , no spare loo roll , thin walls so noisy , really loud fire doors when closing ,
