Great staff, badly managed!

Always loved it here and have visited since it was RD Mar de Portals,we have always enjoyed the location, Jamier at the pool restaurant is always attentive and happy. The standard of food is still very good, both for breakfast and dinner.

Basically it wasn’t ready! This only reflects on the management of this hotel, our room was musty, in need of a paint freshen up, too hot as the aircon wasn’t working and the swim up pool was dirty and had not been prepared after the winter shutdown, I could go on ….but will add that the floors in the restaurant were dirty, nobody had cleaned under them, plants were all dead, just a serious lack of pride, care and attention in what was one of our favourite places to take in a few days of R&R!!

An excellent stay for a solo trip!

The hotel is located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood with a small and marvelous beach a few minutes walking distance. The breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent - the staff is also very friendly and helpful.

The pool is a bit smaller than I expected (don’t expect to be really swimming in it)

Bien

Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, la piscine n'est pas chauffée donc on en a peu profité. Il manque une salle de sport. Le quartier est très calme, c'est appréciable.

Les restaurants au port de plaisance ne s'adresse qu à une niche fortunée (Michelin a préempté la vue sur le port) c'est dommage! Il reste les restaurants du petit centre ville pour les autres....

Nice staff, not great hotel

The receptionist was lovely

Out air conditioning didn’t work for the whole stay. We asked multiple times for this to be fixed. As a result we did not sleep, therefore not a relaxing holiday. We found everywhere a bit dirty which is a shame.

This is not a 4-star hotel in a million years. All the facilities were 3 stars with indulgence. Small rooms, cheap furniture, no ventilation at all in the bathroom. The breakfast was identical every morning, and some fruits were mouldy. The location is up the hill outside the main village. People are waiting for a full year to come to a nice hotel, and they end up heartbroken with these type of facilities. The authorities should reconsider the rating given to this hotel!

Our room was lovely But needed to look at floor were hot tub was and coffee machine needed a good clean We were in gold level so had a separate bit with pool But needed some improvement

Unhelpful management - rude

Unhelpful management. After spending a lot of money to stay they did not reserve us a room we booked. When we asked for the money back to cover the difference they refused. We ended up having to leave and find another hotel last minute.

Great Value

Great location, good value for price, friendly staff. Also loved the infused water in the lobby.

The adults only property (Costa) is not nearly as nice as Cala. Check the photos to make sure which place you’re booking. The nearby beach that’s walking distance also gets really crowded so I suggest exploring other beaches if you’re staying a few nights. Still a solid hotel for the price

Underwhelming and not worth the money.

We couldn't fault the cleanliness of the hotel. Overall, the location was reasonable. After a frosty reception the staff tried their best to make our stay memorable and enjoyable - particularly the bar staff who were attentive and remembered previous orders. The bed was a decent size and comfortable, the shower was powerful and the room had all desired amenities including bottles of water which were replenished daily.

The location was reasonable however, although on a map the closest town looks a short distant, it is a 10-minute trek up a steep hill (not ideal after freshening up for a evening meal) We paid extra for a 'swim-up pool room' DO NOT BE FOOLED - this was merely a puddle, not large enough to lay-in let alone swim. Meaning the exclusivity and privacy we paid for was not met as in order to swim or sun-bathe we had to use all other busy public pools. We would highly recommend hiring a car as the taxi service on the island is beyond poor, taking hours to arrive (if you are able to get one booked) Again, the marina looks close on a map but a winding, trek on foot which could be eliminated by a 5-minute car ride. Although the staff were apologetic about this, they had not pre-warned us meaning we were stranded for over a hour on our days out trying to get back. The hotel provides a transfer to Palma but only 2 days a week and 3 time slots to choose from. The breakfast has variety but the same each day. The evening buffet is not suitable for vegetarians or vegan with very few options to choose from, if any... Overall we enjoyed our stay but only as we made the best of a very underwhelming hotel and would have loved to know all the above before spending this money.

Good value, poor execution

It’s great value for the money, with an amazing location.

The hotel looks great on paper but the quality of the facilities is lacking. Everything is just poorly done, almost as if it was a DIY project. The artificial air fresheners use are excessive and I’m very sensitive to those things in addition to the fact that they are quite toxic.

Great overall

I really enjoyed the exceptional staff at the hotel. They were incredibly customer-centric and exceptionally welcoming. Additionally, the location of the hotel was fantastic.

I didn't like the cleanliness of the service, and to make matters worse, my room was located next to the housekeeper's room. Despite being on the 5th floor, I was disturbed in the morning by the loud noises created by the housekeeper while moving the stroller in the corridor.

Breakfast was superb, staff were exceptional.

Building works directly across from our room. Reported our room safe not working on our first evening, the safe still was not working when we left four days later. Late early morning call.
