Hideaway is a well appointed cedar cottage in a quiet area overlooking Popes Glen & the National Park. It is located close to bushwalking tracks and 1.7Km from Blackheath Village shopping area offering great cafes, restuarants and antique shops. Perfect central location to explore the Blue Mountains. Within easy drive to Govettes Leap and Evans Head local lookouts. Just 10min drive to Katoomba (Three Sisters, Skyway, Scenic railway) and 30min drive to Jenolan Caves and Zig Zag Railway. Property Features This cottage has a very spacious living area offering a slow combustion fireplace and ducted gas heating throughout the cottage - perfect for cold winter nights. The spacious lounge room has a LCD TV with DVD and Stereo system. There is a large selection of DVD movies, plus board games provided to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. The eat in kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils, dishwasher, coffee maker, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, etc. Enjoy the bush outlook from the dining table and watch the frequent visits from Kookaburras and Rosellas on the rear balcony. There is a large deck at the front of the house with BBQ facilities, a large table and chairs. Enjoy outdoor dining in a peaceful setting. Plenty of space for kids to play. Downstairs under the house is a well equipped laundry with extra toilet, washing machine, clothes dryer, plus a large undercover games area with table tennis table, table soccer, etc. There are 3 bedrooms : Bedroom 1: Queen size bed, TV and bedside tables Bedroom 2: Queen size bed and bedside tables Bedroom 3: Two single beds and bedside table Bathroom has separate shower, small bath and toilet. Extra Provisions . All beds will be made with linen before your arrival. Bath towels including bath mat and hand towels are also provided along with tea towels for the kitchen. . Covered woolen quilts on all beds with extra blankets/pillows in cupboards . Free WiFi . Ducted Gas Heating in all rooms throughout the cottage . Gas outdoor BBQ . Slow combustion fireplace with plenty of free firewood provided . Firelighters, matches and candles . Movies, board games, books, magazines, maps. . Our adult family if 5 stayed comfortably here in October for a wedding. Great space in the loungeroom for everyone to sprawl out. It was clean and pleasant with a wonderful deck & BBQ for entertaining. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was great. Wifi service handled all 5 of us being on it with no complaints. Lovely flowers in the garden. Approx 8 steps to get down from parking to the front door. Colourful parrots and magpies sang in the trees. Ducted gas heating was useful as temps swung from 33 down to 4 degrees over night. Happy to stay again.

We rented this property to compete in the 2022 UTA across 3 days. Perfect property with all we needed close enough to the event. Lovely back yard, bird life and quiet street. Would stay again for sure 😊

Great for our family of four. A nice quiet and clean property with a nice wood fire for those cold nights. And lots to entertain when the weather not so good. A little too far to walk to shops, car required but not too far from all the local attractions.

Hideaway is a well equipped home, with a spacious lounge with FOUR very comfy sofas, a lovely wood fire, large TV, plenty of DVDs and box games. It was lovely to be visited in the morning by crimson rosellas and king parrots. The downstairs games room with a very nice table tennis table is a great feature and much enjoyed. The open aspect over bush land is nice. Handy location. We would definitely stay again.

Homely, lots and lots of room. Many sofas which don't seem important but having a sofa each was fabulous! Great fire. Good heating. Well stocked kitchen (in terms of lots of saucepans, plates, cups, glasses, gooden spoons etc - stuff you need)! lots of beds and spare mattresses.

We loved everything about this place. There were 4 of us and we were very comfortable-big comfy lounges, the right number of bedrooms, lots of blankets and pillows, an abundant supply of firewood, everything you need in the kitchen and so quiet! This was our second stay here and we will be back I’m sure!

A group of 5 stayed for a friend's birthday. Great location and very comfortable for the price. Close to Blackheath which has places to eat and nice cafes and bakeries. The house catered well for our needs and plenty of seating in the lounge room around the fire to share some laughs. The was clean and comfortable.

Very clean and comfortable. Everything you would need found in the kitchen. Toaster, kettle even a coffee maker. Bathroom clean. Enjoyed the scenery and feeding the parrots. Blackheath shopping area close by car had all the amenities you would want.
