{Sweet Pea} Central Spot for Charlotte Adventures
About this house rental
Located in Charlotte, this lovely house for $116 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Comfortable. Close. Stylish. Welcome to our beautifully styled, comfortably decorated four bedroom home which is minutes from SouthEnd (walkable neighborhood with a friendly vibe + food options from fancy to casual). Open downstairs living plan. Large master bedrooms on both levels with memory foam king beds. TV's in both masters. Fully stocked kitchen. Dining room. Outdoor deck and balcony off of upstairs master. Overlooks half-acre lot. Perfect for your getaway, short or long term stay. Absolutely incredible views of the skyline if you walk down the street a bit. Quiet street, families mostly. This is a private, stand-alone home on approximately a half-acre lot. Fully fenced with white vinyl privacy fence. There is a freight railroad line that is about a mile from the property, and the engine whistle is audible when the trains pass through. I have not heard it during the evening, but it is possible. I have added white noise machines and earplugs if you're a light sleeper to help just in case. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO PARTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please read the following regarding gatherings of any kind...I have had to shut down several of these with the help of the police lately. That is fun for no one. There are to be no parties held here. This is prohibited by my own rules and VRBO's rules. Here's a good rule of thumb - No more than 5-6 cars parked AT MY HOUSE - not in front of the neighbors, not down the street. You can fit 4-5 cars in the driveway and ONE out front. There are to be no more than 15 people on this property at anytime and all guest who are staying overnight need to be included in your reservation count. I will detect a party in the following ways: 1. There is a doorbell camera and a floodlight camera that detect sound as well. I can see who comes and goes, and I can hear the level of noise by simply looking at my phone. 2. My neighbors all have my number and I have asked them to call me if the noise is too much or there are other disturbances occurring. They have also been told to call the police if they think it warrants it. 3. I will occasionally drive by to check on the property as I do not live that far away. If a party is occurring, or if you have messed with my cameras, etc. to hide a party. The following will occur: 1. I will contact you for an explanation and give you a chance to fix the issue 2. If the issue is not resolved immediately, I will contact VRBO support. They will cancel your reservation and you will receive no refund. 3. I will contact the authorities to have you removed from the premises. Long story short - DO NOT EVEN THINK OF THROWING A PARTY HERE. IT WILL NOT END WELL. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that it’s necessary to lay this all out in such a way, ideally I could just say “no parties” and be done with it, but turns out not to be true. ***Here are some handy Drive times to Charlotte attractions: 3 Minutes to SouthEnd 3 Minutes to Revolution Park Golf Course 4 Minutes to Ray's Splash Planet 5 Minutes to Uptown Charlotte & Discovery Place 5 Minutes to Bank of America Stadium 5 Minutes to Nascar Hall of Fame 7 Minutes to Metropolitan 7 Minutes to Music Factory (Fillmore, VBGB, Charlotte Metro Union Amphitheater) 8 Minutes to Spectrum Arena 8 Minutes to the Blumenthal 10 Minutes to Freedom Park 11 Minutes to Ovens Auditorium 12 Minutes to NoDa (North Davidson) 12 Minutes to Plaza Midwood 12 Minutes to Charlotte Douglas Airport 15 Minutes to Northlake Mall 15 Minutes to South Park 16 Minutes to UNCC 16 Minutes to Carowinds Amusement Park 17 Minutes to Concord Mills Mall 17 Minutes to WWC (White Water Center) 18 Minutes to Ballantyne 31 Minutes to Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden I strongly prefer text messages through the VRBO app so that everything is on the level. If I am not available, I will usually be available to answer questions or help out as well.

We stayed here during the winter, January to be exact. When we arrived to the home the heating unit was completely off. It was 56 degrees in the house, and it took awhile for it to warm up. I am assuming when there are no occupants he keeps the heat/air off. The upstairs thermostat did not appear to work. We let the owner know, who said he would send someone to check it out, but no one ever came. There was no heating/cooling regulation upstairs. We were freezing the first night, and burning up the last 2 nights. This is also an older home, that has been remodeled. The neighborhood is super close to the train track; we heard the train coming and going all night - every night. You must pull the front door tightly towards you in order for it to lock. The front door is essentially completely see through. You can see straight into the house if the porch light is on. Not a terrible place, but we were not very comfortable.

While we may not have been in the property very long as we were at an event. It was clean, spacious, and fit our needs very well. Quiet neighborhood and it was 8 minutes away from the venue. 10:10 would do again

Property was easy to find, lots of space inside in addition to a backyard for hanging out was a plus. We enjoyed our time here and visiting the city. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be close to the city but not in the heart of it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was nice, clean and cozy. A few minor maintenance issues but the owner responded immediately. I would stay here again if needed a place to stay in Charlotte.

Very nice property. Proximity to train traffic was a surprise but didn't impact our stay. Loved the backyard.

We only needed one night for an early flight out the next morning. It was an older home and a few minor issues, but overall it was worth the price and for the convenience for what we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is really comfortable and well appointed. We had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet …with the exception of trains passing by in the evening and blowing their whistle. Localism closes to everything by car. Thank you

We've stayed at this house twice now and really enjoyed it. It's clean, spacious, and the backyard is great. Wonderful communication with the owner! Great location that's a short drive to downtown.

Check in easy. Location to Charlotte great but neighborhood felt a little uncomfortable
Trains an issue as several through the night ! Showers very small and a problem for a male adult.
Outside area is nice and good parking.
Overall a good stay but would not book again due to the noise of the trains

The house was easy to find. It was nice. However, the owner was not so nice. The email he sent with instructions and the door code was very abrasive and rude. Unfortunately, at that point, I had already paid for the rental. Otherwise, I would have cancelled. The bathroom light did not work. After a tense txt msg with him, he sent someone over to fix it. That gentleman was very nice. We zapped flies in the house, using his bug zapper. An AC repairman showed up early Saturday morning. I did not get a courtesy notification. So, I would not recommend this property.

Allen was amazing and the house lived up to expectations! Thank you again we loved our time!

The house and yard are adorable. I love the open floor plan. It’s an older renovated home, and there were some electrical issues (no power in upstairs master bath and bedroom) that the owner tried to have fixed but was unable to do so while we were there. But he did respond immediately to messages and sent someone out as soon as he possibly could.
There were also some issues with the plumbing (knobs it downstairs bathroom not labeled, took over a minute for water in kitchen and bathrooms to get warm) and the door to the downstairs bathroom was very hard to open. But it was clean and cheerful, and our stay was enjoyable.

Overall clean and comfy with a huge back yard.

Pros: clean house with 4 bedrooms at a decent price — owner is friendly and easy to work with — minutes from the city
Cons: bathrooms/showers are tiny — 2nd floor bedroom no real curtain so neighbors light and morning sunlight blind you early AM — location isn’t for everybody, but I will say it was quiet for our stay

Very nice, clean spacious house. we had plenty of room. Easy to get to local places; short drive each place we went.

This property was great and the service was great as well with the host. Easy hassle free experience.

The house was mostly good. It was comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. The beds were ok, the shower’s are small and we had to replace the shower curtain. The lawn needs to be better maintained, and the trains in the middle of the night kept my husband awake. The manager was very responsive which was appreciated. The location is convenient to the airport and downtown.

Easy check-in/out. Clean, nice space for 5 people. Close to downtown. Nice to have off street parking. Perfect kitchen, everything you could need! Lots of tv’s which was great for us! Only comment, close to train track, if a light sleeper like me, it may wake you up. However, my kids never heard it!

This home is old but pretty clean. We did not know what the exterior of the property look like until we purchased a nonrefundable stay. You can solve this problem put a picture of the exterior of the home online. I like that we were able to bring our pet. For pet lovers this is a good home. The lawn needs to be mowed. This house is comfortable unique and the remodel is nice. The showers and the tub are to small. I mean really small. The home did have a musky smell. A couple of plugins will correct this issue. Overall, we would probably not stay at this location again. I encourage others to do their own research.

This was a great and home like spot right in south end. House was great, and super convenient to everything!

It was a nice house, not too far from anything. Good communication with owner, the cleanliness wasn’t the best. There was a beer left in the freezer that had exploded and the bathroom floors were dirty. Other than that it worked perfect for our one night stay and would stay again.

We only stayed one night. Was not happy with smell either. Stuffy and stale. Refrigerator wouldn’t open fully due to proximity to the island. :(. Not allowing for usage with larger items. Trash from previous renter was the very first thing I saw when arriving at the property ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
