Comfortable and spacious, great location, quiet, easy access to Stowe skiing.
A lot of leftover food in fridge from previous guests. Towels are old and should be replaced. Given that we provided arrival time, it would have been nice to have a bit more heat on in the place; it was really cold when we arrived. Living room area needs better lighting.

A great place for a family vacation! So comfortable and so much space! Rustic enough for my outdoorsy husband, with all the things indoorsy types (like me) need to survive. We would love to stay here again.
I really have no complaints. It did seem to be fairly humid at times on the main floor according to the humidity monitor, but it also rained most of our stay so that explains that.

I liked the 3 bedrooms with double beds….very cozy…roomy….had a fire in the fire place …got to do a puzzle…saw bear tracks right out the front door…big bear tracks…reminded me of my family camp in the Adirondacks…..
We had to leave!

Exceptional experience. Me and 5 other friends stayed for 4 days. The cabin blends in perfectly with the skiing. It has everything you need, only a 14min drive to the Mt. Also, James was always available for questions and answers; great host. Would do it again if it were available.

Everything was provided there. Amazing location. Beautiful. I loved my stay there.

The location was perfect! We could easily access activities in and around Stowe, and also felt like we had our own little quiet and personal space. The amenities such as the coffee maker and kitchen dishes made it easy to cook and relax together.
The master bedroom (with the bathroom attached) stayed very warm even when it was cool outside and we turned the thermostat down. It was uncomfortably warm for sleeping at night.

It was great and we enjoyed the property very much. Kid friendly, comfortable, clean, beautiful location, tv and more.
lots of room for lots of experiences.
Water pressure was sometimes low in the shower but most of the time it was fine.

Extremely private whole house, very reasonable rules all laid out for us. Fantastic location, lots of plates and glassware available as well as dishwasher. Beds were more comfortable than my own!
No bathroom downstairs despite there being a bedroom and a room with a futon, but plenty of beds and 2 bathrooms upstairs.

House was fantastic and even nicer than we realized when booking. When the views are clear, they are absolutely gorgeous and the wood fireplace was great after a day of skiing in the cold temps.
The house is on a pretty steep hill. Though it did get plowed pretty regularly, it would be nearly impossible to reach on powder day if you don't have snow tires or all-wheel drive. We had snow tires on front-wheel and it took a couple of tries to get up, but it was a 12-inch powder day at Stowe Mountain, so we weren't exactly complaining...

Great location, close to Stowe town & Von Trapp Lodge. Good/quick communication with James about the facility. Lots of space.

The house located in the forest on the hills and it is a magical place for family get away for couple days from a busy city.
There is old fashioned fireplace and fills cozy and warm during the ski season. Internet works perfectly well.
Our kids loves Netflix and the sunroom just fantastic.
I'm sure it is very nice place for the summer also.
Most amazing part is that the owner set it up a Christmas Tree.
We forgot our jacket and he sent it to us.
We just love everything about that wonderful place.

Overall, it was extremely comfortable and cozy, especially with the fire going in the living room. We loved sitting by the fireplace with our feet up. And there was plenty of firewood. Good location for access to town and ski area, and really nice to come back to after a day outside in the elements. The master bedroom and bath are very nice, and thermostats worked well throughout the house. Outside grill is excellent. Decent working kitchen and fridge, with lots of pots and pans and cooking implements (although they need a meat thermometer). Very useful desk and powerstrip in outer area in which I could set up a laptop and use as an "office" of sorts. The wifi worked fine for me.
Shower water pressure only so-so, especially if more than one shower is in use at the same time. The carpet and some of the furniture is a bit frayed and dated (although my daughter liked the look), and the living room needs more light by the sofa (we had to pull a standing light over from the fireplace area in order to get enough light to do a jigsaw puzzle on the living room table, which left a cord across the floor for folks to trip on). The first floor bathroom is not as nice as the other two, and the person staying in the basement bedroom has to climb two flights of stairs to take a shower. The holes in the walls that are used (I believe) to vent portable air conditioners in the summer were a little weird, although I did not feel any cold air getting through them. I should stress that these are mostly nitpicks, they didn't really impact our stay.

This property has an amazing view of the mountains and gives a very nice feel of living in the woods. Loved the included amenities and the owner was very responsive in answering all our questions before and during our stay. Highly recommended!
