Spent 5 days in Long Beach for a family wedding. The house was totally comfortable for the six of us. Check in was seamless, close to the beach and lots of food options nearby. We couldn’t have been happier.

The house was nice, but no AC. The house did not smell clean, house was dusty but on a positive note the kitchen and bathrooms were clean. I felt very uncomfortable feeling people could see thru the blinds in the upstairs bathroom. We had to leave the windows open to keep the house cool. The beds we’re comfortable. The people in the neighborhood were very nice. This would be a very nice house if the house felt cleaner and added some decorative things that would make the home feel welcoming. I could not sleep because it felt eerily. The house has a lot of potential. I did not get instructions until the day before and key lock code I received the day I arrived to Long Beach. That part was very stressful to me. Overall it was ok.

A good location and interesting older home. However the screens are in poor repair. There is no A/C and a lot of ambient noise. The hot water did not work for over half the stay. It seemed to be our responsibility to keep checking the status of the repairs. We would have appreciated a refund or some compensation for this inconvenience.

Nowhere in the listing does it state this house has no A/C. The homeowner kept telling me it will be cooler this week (when we arrived the house was 87 degrees inside). I was forced to purchase 2 fans since the homeowner only provided one small box fan for the entire house. The only way to cool the house was to open all windows and the doors to the patio. The patio doors do not have screens, the window in the front of the house only has one screen which is equivalent to no screen if you have half a brain. All the screen except for two or three were effective the rest were bent, did not close (meaning bugs still get in) or were taken off (upstairs room). The entire house had cobwebs, downstairs and upstairs. The floors were extremely dusty, and all the windows had dirt and leaves around them. I am honestly confused what the cleaning fee does. Back to the lack of screens, overnight we had to leave the windows open it's the only way to get the house under 80 degrees. In the morning the downstairs restroom, kitchen and behind the couches were swarmed with mosquitoes. I don't think I have ever seen this many mosquitoes in a house and I live in Texas. The last day the hot water stopped working and when I notified the homeowner his reply was “ok thanks”. We were also forced to purchase laundry detergent and dryer sheets as the homeowner did not provide any. We felt trapped in this house, we had no more money to get a hotel and the entire time was ruined by the heat, bugs and dirt.
