Nestled in Carolina Beach, this attractive condo for $409 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This super clean second floor Carolina Beach condo is located in a Pleasure Island sweet spot: one minute to the beach accessed by a private boardwalk, a five minute stroll to the Town of Carolina Beach boardwalk, shops, restaurants and bars, and an easy walk to Freeman Park. Watch the sun come up from the newly renovated deck overlooking the ocean, spend the day on the beach, and then be awed by a beautiful sunset over the canal with the view from the front balcony. All beds have new memory foam mattresses and rooms are perfectly appointed for your vacation. We provide sanitized linens and make up the beds so you can arrive and start enjoying your vacation right away. The master bedroom with queen bed has a balcony overlooking the canal side and a private full bath. The large second bedroom has a twin over full bunk. A second full bath is right off the main hallway. The kitchen is fully equipped for your stay. The dining room table has four chairs, plus two bar stools at the kitchen bar. The bathrooms have just been updated for added comfort. We provide bath and hand towels. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience. We provide ROKU smart TVs in both bedrooms and in the large living room. There are also games and books for you to enjoy. There are also four beach chairs and other beach supplies located in locked storage closet in the main parking area. This comes in handy to store items without the need to drag them up the stairs. There is also a shower to rinse off after your day at the beach. Everything is ready for you to have a relaxing vacation here on Pleasure Island!

We had a great time at Carolina Beach in late Dec 23/early Jan 24. We selected this property based on the excellent reviews from others and it lived up to those reviews: extremely clean, great location, beautifully furnished. The owners provided a long list of amenities, which added to our overall satisfaction. The owners were extremely responsive from the time we booked the property through the time we checked out. Five stars across the board and we would not hesitate to book this property again.

We stayed in this 2nd floor condo for a long weekend. It was fine for us, two women, but I think might be a bit problematic for two couples given the bed situation in 2nd bedroom. Perfect for a family with kids. Right on the beach with easy access and a nice deck to sit and watch the waves. Cushions on the chairs on the porch would be a nice addition! The kitchen was well equipped, though we did not cook, and the condo was clean and airy. We had a minor issue which was quickly resolved and communication with the owners was great. Only real complaint was the noise and parking stress from the outside construction, which I realize the owners had little control over. Kite festival at Fort Fisher was an added bonus!! I definitely would stay here again in the fall!

We came to Carolina Beach to visit family and for a short beach vacation. We enjoyed this condo greatly and would definitely stay there again. The location on the beach was ideal. The property was lovely and had everything we needed. We were very pleased with the communication and this property!

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities. The hosts really thought of everything to make your stay stress free. And the oceanfront location was beautiful! We enjoyed the sunrises and the pelicans every morning. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The view was breathtaking and the easy access to the beach was incredible. Watching the pelicans dive for fish from the balcony was a favorite of mine. We loved being able to have a short walk to restaurants and the boardwalk shops. Enjoyed the fireworks on the beach (Thursdays), a trip to the River Walk on Cape Fear, and a visit to the UNC Wilmington campus. We spent most of our time enjoying the surf and sand. The unit had everything we needed and was very clean and well appointed. The parking under the unit, in the shade was also appreciated. The car was never over heated when we traveled around town. Andrew and Joanne’s place will not disappoint!

Mermaids Retreat is an awesome vacation spot. It is right on the beach and within easy walking distance to the boardwalk and other activities. The condo is very clean and well stocked. There were beach chairs and umbrellas in the storage space. We walked the beach every day. Overall, we had a fantastic week and we will definitely be staying there again.

The location is perfect! 2 minutes to the boardwalk, and less than 10 from anything else you want/need to do. The condo is great we dealt with rain a couple of days and we were able to play board games with our kids…who gets to do that anymore? We would definitely stay here again in the future. Clean, convenient 5 stars!

We loved our beach house, the views and location. The house had plenty of space for our family of four. It was decorated beautifully. We would suggest including a couple more bath towels (I prefer two and only one for each of us was provided). We also were wishing for a larger skillet. The one provided was really small. The dishwasher was very loud when running, so we could only do it when we planned to leave the house. We also didn’t have any laundry soap even though we were told there would be enough to get us started. The floors were really sandy when we first arrived, but we located the vacuum in the bedroom closet and remedied that problem several times over throughout the week. Other than that, we would highly recommend the property. All of these things were not deal breakers. It was quiet with the exception of hearing footsteps above. We never heard other voices. The beach was gorgeous and we visited daily. Location is great - close to many restaurants, grocery stores, amusement park, etc. Thanks for a great week!!!

Even with stormy weather most of the weekend, the views were still spectacular and amazing! Sitting there on the balcony watching the storm surge and waves were great!! The sounds of the waves were stunning!! Awesome location and within walking distance to everything you need.. Definitely looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to Carolina Beach..

With a hectic schedule & demanding jobs we were overdue for a quiet & relaxing week. Andrew & Joanne's beautiful condo offered that & so much more. We spent the majority of our time on the large covered porch with an amazing view & just steps from the beach. All essential amenities were provided & our hosts were prompt in responding when needed. Getting out & about wasn't a priority for us but there are so many options for dining, shopping & fun activities within minutes from the condo. We thouroughly enjoyed spending a day in Southport, a quaint, historical town a ferry ride away across the Cape Fear. We were sad to leave but left refreshed, rested & grateful for a beautiful week. We look forward to our next visit!!!!

This is a nice two bedroom condo that is a little sparsely furnished but totally met our needs. Our favorite space was the quite large deck facing the ocean and the fact that the sliding glass doors also had a screen door so that even if we were in the living area we could see and hear the ocean, which was amazing! The condo is walking distance to a number of restaurants and bars and the "downtown" area. We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this location. It was everything and more than we expected. Clean, location was great , easy to get to all restaurants. Watching the sunrise and dolphins every morning was unbelievable and so relaxing. We are already talking about when we would like to come back to Carolina Beach again.

This clean, comfortable condo is in a great location on Carolina Beach. In our VRBO search, we tried to avoid even the sight of high rises and hoped to be within walking distance of restaurants and amenities without feeling like we were “in town.” Bingo! Easy walks to piers, the Boardwalk and town, even for us middle-aged folks. Mermaid’s Retreat has its own walkway to the beach, an unobstructed view of the ocean at all times with a marina out back, and a spacious protected deck. Carolina Beach is a wonderful little town with no shortage of great restaurants, shops, and markets. The condo had everything we needed (and then some) and was easy to keep comfortable regardless of the ever-changing weather we experienced the week of Thanksgiving. (Our holiday dinner was takeout from Havana’s!) You can’t go wrong with this condo, its fabulous deck and its wonderful hosts.

My husband and I stayed at this property for one week celebrating our two year wedding anniversary. Since it was off-season, it was almost like we had the entire beach to ourselves. Everywhere we went to eat was delicious. The Seawitch and Shuckin Shack where are two favorite places to eat. The ice cream at the Celtic creamery was unbelievable! The views and location of this lovely condo more than made up for the weather we experienced 😉. Once Hurricane Ian moved out we were able to fully enjoy our vacation. Just steps to the ocean and many food options within walking distance, or a short drive. We hope to visit Carolina Beach again, and will definitely consider a return to this beautiful spot. Andrew and Joanne were wonderful hosts.

We had a wonderful time at this well appointed condo in a great location, close to boardwalk, restaurants, shops, etc. We had stellar weather, so the beach was our favorite spot to be while here. Condo has an amazing view of the ocean that starts when you open the door. Very nice covered balcony facing the ocean, great for ☕️ watching the 🌅 or 🍸 in the evening. Back deck had a very nice view of sunset but needs some R&R.

This property is very accurately represented in the listing. The condo was spotless when we arrived. Rapid communication with the owners was easily accomplished when needed. The unit is located steps from private access to the beach. The view from the patio is unobstructed. Parking is great. You are within easy walking distance from the boardwalk, delicious restaurants, and fun activities. This was our second stay at this exact property and hope to return in the future.
