About this house rental

Located in Lakeside, this charming house for $632 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. After renting in Lakeside for many years, my family had the opportunity to build the home of our dreams! Beautiful, filled with light, and perfect for families of all sizes and ages, our home has an open first floor with both a large wrap around porch and an enclosed porch. Master bedroom with ensuite bath is located on first floor. Laundry room and half bath on first floor as well. The kitchen is spacious, well equipped, and has plenty of counter space to prepare meals to be served in the dining room or on the porch. Additional seating for three is available at kitchen bar. The living room offers two sofas, one of which is a queen sleeper, and a 54" smart tv with cable and internet provided. The second floor has three additional bedrooms and two full baths, one with a tub/shower combo. Two bedrooms each have a queen bed while the third bedroom has a double bunk bed with a pull out twin bed. The home has central air and ceiling fans throughout. Both the screened in porch and the wrap around porch are favorite gathering places and offer plenty of seating. 2021 EZGO Golf Cart for 4 is included during the Chautauqua Season! (In the event that the golf cart is not available during the Chautauqua Season [Memorial Day through Labor Day] due to malfunction, a $200 refund will be given). We love our home and hope that all guests will treat the home as if it were their own! The Memorial Garden is across the street and there are walking trails that can be easily accessed. There is a charcoal and a gas grill available for cook outs. Play a game of corn hole in the large front yard as a set is included. Pickle ball courts, tennis courts, and the new aquatic and wellness center are all a short walk from our home. Should you desire to check out the area, there is an abundance of activities for the entire family. Ferry service runs daily between Port Clinton and both Kelly's Island and Put-in-Bay, and Cedar Point Amusement Park is in the nearby city of Sandusky. Marblehead Lighthouse is a short drive from Lakeside and worth a visit. PLEASE NOTE! Lakeside Chautauqua is a gated community from Memorial Day through Labor Day and gate fees for both you and your car are charged and NOT included in the rental fee. Please visit the website lakesideohio.com to learn all that Lakeside offers along with rules, regulations and fees associated with staying within the gates. In addition, you will need to bring your own linens/towels. Lakeside Linen Supply is happy to provide linens for your stay should you desire. Check in is after 3pm and check out is by 10 am. We require a 7 day, Saturday to Saturday stay from June 10, 2023 through September 2, 2023. Otherwise a 2 day minimum is required.

Lorna‘s beautiful home provided the setting for a wonderful family Lakeside getaway. Our growing family needed a home that was spacious and well appointed, and 552 Poplar was just the ticket. Lorna was a great host with clear and responsive communication, enabling the long weekend to go perfectly! We look forward to seeing you next year!

Our second year in a row at this particular rental. Lorna is great to work with, very responsive. We love the location in a quieter part of Lakeside. The house is beautiful and clean. It’s spacious and the porch is just the best family gathering place. Will definitely be back.

The house is just a couple minute golf cart ride away from the action, yet far enough away that it’s quiet. We loved the size, the porches and the conveniences offered. Lorna was very quick to respond too!

We were pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the pantry and kitchen was. Lorna was prompt at responding and very accommodating. Having the good cart to get around was awesome! Couldn’t have asked for a better time!

We stayed at this property during some snowy cold days. Was still in a great location to be able to go on some walks along the lake and explore lakeside. Lorna was communicative and had very clear instructions. The house itself was very nice, had a great big kitchen, and was very clean.

We spent a weekend with friends and family in this beautiful home. The layout was perfect, very spacious and clean with plenty of room for our group. Lorna was a fantastic host! Excellent communication as well as being extremely flexible which was greatly appreciated. We hope to be back soon!

The house is beautiful and even more spacious that the photos suggested. It had all the kitchen amenities we needed, and the owner was quick to reply to my couple questions shortly before our travel dates. The location was perfect and having the golf cart was convenient and fun! We hope to come back!!

My husband's family got together in Lakeside for a short reunion weekend and this house fit us perfectly! The four bedrooms were great and the three and half baths were amazing to have. Even though this property is located further back in Lakeside, we found it wonderfully quiet and peaceful and still a short walk to the water and shops. Or even shorter golf cart ride!

We loved this home! Updated and new! Check in/out instructions we’re delivered a few days before the trip and easy to follow. Only about 20 minutes from a ferry to the island and a few blocks away from the water. I would make sure in the future your guests know to bring their own sheets and towels. Could be common place in homes but was our first time using Vrbo. No worries though! Still a great time!! Nothing a little trip to dollar general didn’t solve!! Great home!

The house at Lakeside was perfect for our family. It was nicely decorated & had all of the amenities that we could have wanted. The added benefit of a golf cart for our use was very helpful. The owner responded immediately to an issue that arose and had some one come and check things out in a timely manner. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Beautiful, modern home with everything you need and lots of space! Location is fantastic. We could walk to the pool, the lake and Lakeside center easily. There’s also a golf cart provided if you don’t feel like walking. Lorna quickly responded to questions and kindly checked in to see if we needed anything upon arrival. Highly recommend this property!
