About this house rental
We are fully licensed by the City of Vancouver for both short and long term rentals. This gracious family home is nestled in the magnificent suburb of Quilchena, bordering Shaughnessy, and just a stones throw from the Kerrisdale and the Arbutus Greenway. It is close to the beaches and has easy access to downtown and other popular Vancouver sights and restaurants. The main floor has both a living and dining room furnished with pieces from RH (Restoration Hardware) to entertain friends and family. A smaller TV room with a large reclining leather sofa and window seat is perfect for watching your favourite TV and Cable shows. A 55" TV comes complete with both cable and Roku. Completing the main floor is a large kitchen area complete with a built-in writing desk and a breakfast table and chairs. Upmarket appliances have been used throughout and include a natural gas stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer, toaster oven and rice cooker. The kitchen opens to an outdoor patio facing the North Shore mountains complete with a BBQ, patio table and chairs and a large patio umbrella. On the top floor of the house, there are three large bedrooms all with large closets. The main bedroom with queen sized bed has lovely views of the city and North Shore mountains. The en-suite bathroom has an above-average-sized shower and can comfortably accommodate two people. The second bedroom also has a queen-sized bed while the third bedroom has a double bed. Both of these rooms have desks and chairs. The second bathroom is a comfortable size with a shower bath, single basin, vanity and toilet. Like the main bedroom, this bathroom has city and mountain views. The landscaped garden is carefully maintained on a regular basis and has a wide variety of trees, flowering shrubs and bushes. Completing the garden is a cascading pyramid water feature. At night, the garden is attractively lit with landscape lighting. Automatic watering is in place. My family stayed over the Christmas break. The house was very clean and comfortable and the perfect size for us. A big kitchen with all the necessary amenities, a living room and a lovely dining room. We were able to spend time with family and have a Christmas dinner. It was a great neighbourhood- walking distance to amenities and beautiful walking trails.

The property is stunning! We had a tiny hiccup at check in with our code but Anne-Maree was just a quick phone call away and helped us resolve the issue. Everything else on the property was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely book again!

The house was a clean and comfortable place for my family to spend 5 nights. Anne-Maree went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure or stay went smoothly. The house is in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood. We would stay here again!

We were visiting for a few days with our teenage children. I the home location is perfect. Near a lot of Vancouver sites. We rented a car so it was easy to get around. And Marie was a very responsive host. The home is very clean and has absolutely everything you would need. Lovely garden, and deck in the back.

We have stayed in a lot of furnished rentals every July since 2005 and this one was one of the very best thought out and presented. Large fans provided for Vancouver Summer heat, fantastic outdoor space for patio dining, high quality bedding (including allergy covers on the pillows) and towels, clean fridge and cupboards, plenty of hangers. Additionally, key supplies provided. Location was also key walking to Kerrisdale and pedestrian access. Fantastic house bravo to the owner for staging it so well for guests.

Our family of four spent a fabulous week exploring Vancouver and staying at Anne-Maree's lovely Shaughnessy area home. SUPER location on a quiet street in a gorgeous neighbourhood. Note...there was ALWAYS a parking spot available in front of the house.
This is a lovely, well cared for, spotlessly clean, character home. All rooms are spacious & nicely furnished. Kitchen & laundry are well stocked.
We loved having the piano...always enjoy listening to our teenagers play!!
The front and back yards are totally private, surrounded by trees, hedges and flowers - very pretty. Nice seating area on the back deck for meals or relaxing outside.

Lovely spacious home in a beautiful neighborhood. Great shared spaces, including very well-equipped kitchen, deck with table and chairs, and 3 bedrooms with comfy queen beds. Easy drive to/from airport, and to most interesting and popular sites. Anne-Maree is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Would definitely love to stay here again!!!

We had a fabulous stay. Anne-Marner was an excellent host and was very responsive. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood that was close to everything in Vancouver. It was also very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this VRBO, and will be booking it again next time we’re in Vancouver!

Anne Maree was lovely and responded to every inquiry promptly. The property was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked as well. Super convenient as it's located near Kerrisdale with great shops and restaurants.

The Shaughnessy/Kerrisdale Family Home is a gem! This beautiful century old house, located in a quaint neighbourhood, is immaculately kept and presented. Check in was easy. Anne-Maree was easy to communicate with and a pleasure to deal with. She left a book with recommendations for your stay and everything you need to know about the house. The house comfortably fit 3 adults and 3 x 20+ year old boys. The beds were comfortable. There was always a parking spot out front for our car. The neighbourhood was the perfect distance from UBC. We will absolutely stay here again, when we next return to Vancouver.

We just returned from a spontaneous family trip to Vancouver, and a great time was had by all. In spite of the inclement weather, we enjoyed coming "home" after a day of outings to rest and unwind. It's evident that Anne-Maree has taken much care and thought to make your stay here as comfortable as possible - and 10 out of 10 for communication and responsiveness. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one. We hope to visit again in the warmer months :-)

This house was perfect for the 3 of us. The location is in a beautiful , safe and very quiet neighborhood. The master bedroom has a view of the city lights and distant mountains. Beds were firm but comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied for cooking. This beautiful home has been updated with modern conveniences and was immaculate. Communication with the host was efficient . We would definitely stay here again.

We were absolutely charmed by Vancouver and its beautiful neighborhoods. This home was perfect for the 5 of us. We mostly ate out but if we had wanted to cook we would have had everything we needed. The house is lovely and has all the modern amenities. We loved the quiet neighborhood and great shops and restaurants in the Kerrisdale area. The host, Anne Marie, was very accommodating and promptly answered every communication. Thanks for a great stay!

Anne-Maree's home was the perfect place to gather for our family coming from several destinations. The kitchen is large, perfect for a family of 6, exceedingly well appointed with lots of special touches. And there's also a huge dining room. The entire home is very well preserved, clean, and full of lovely touches. We all loved the place, the neighborhood, and the location with proximity to good restaurants. And the final perk was the ease of communication with Anne-Maree.

This was a superb family home for our recent stay in Vancouver, immaculately clean and perfectly appointed. Comfortable bedrooms, a fully functional kitchen with everything we needed and more, in a beautiful neighbourhood. We will definitely book again when we travel again to Vancouver.

This home was a really lovely retreat for three composers that came to Vancouver for our project. The location was ideal, and the space allowed them all to have space, and also gather. They were overjoyed. Thank you so much for your flexibility with this booking Ann-Maree!

The house and neighborhood are lovely. The outdoor deck sitting area is particularly nice. A few things I would have liked: a chair in the master bedroom and luggage stands, a light comforter (the heavy one would be great in the winter, but not so much in the summer) or a blanket for the bed, and possibly some screens for the windows - during the summer months the windows need to be opened. The accommodations are lovely and the kitchen was a pleasure. Also, plentiful parking in front of the house is a definite plus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in this large, elegant and well-appointed house. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed, even an impressive collection of spices. We enjoyed the deck and peaceful back yard. Beds are comfortable as well. It's one of the nicest houses we've stayed at on vrbo. It's a short walk to the main shopping street in the Kerrisdale area with lots of restaurants, cafes and interesting shops to peruse.
