Gucci place love it

The kitchen was well-equipped, and the site required many keys to access the rooms, which made me feel very safe. The common room was a bit dark, and I had to wait a couple of minutes to get in, as there was no one at the service desk, which made it a little bit of a minus. But overall, it was a very pleasant stay!

The crew was amazing, loved the atmosphere, great service and everyone was very welcoming. Loved my first backpacking experience. Special thanks to Phillippe, who helped me pick spots to visit

Bed was incredibly uncomfortable with no accessible outlets. They advertise that it’s loud all night and it really is.
I was only staying one night and was out early in the morning so it was good for the price but I wouldn’t stay here if I was staying any longer.

The employees were really friendly and nice.
My bank need was considerably comfortable.
The building is quite old, the floors are old and crooked, quite noisy.
The showers, toilets and sinks were clean, but they abuse the use of bleach, it smells really strong.
I hadn’t stayed in a hostel in many years, it was nice but I’m old for this type of accommodation.
I would recommend the place, but for anyone between 18 and 30 years old.
Price is reasonable, much is than a hotel price.

Not the best hostel, but not the worst. It’s a pretty old building and isn’t in great condition. It’s not super clean, but also not gross. It is pretty noisy at night as it’s over a bar. We were on the second floor and could still hear music all night. The kitchen is probably the worst part; it’s very small and poorly stocked. The location is good and for the price it’s not bad, but I was glad when it was time to check out and probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Please spend to more to get good accommodation. You will feel uncomfortable if you will stay there. Totally waste of money

The cat is a good addition. The staff and the roommates are okay. But if you need to sleep quiet this is horrible, since the lower floor is a night club. Also if you have large baggage, be careful and strong enough to carry it up to the third floor. Overall good amenity and facility for short stay but you can never sleep well

Got what was paid for. It is not as good as other hostels but it is the oldest (I think) so it’s a little cheaper I think. Could do a little better at cleaning the sheets.

The location was close to everything downtown like BC Place and Roger’s arena. It’s close to most bust stops and is about 10 mins from the subway that takes you to the airport. It’s a pretty old building and sits above a bar so it can be loud. It’s run down however the staff do work hard to keep it clean and are friendly. The homeless run that area though which is really unfortunate.

Great location, but that's all.
The music is so loud from the bar downstairs, until 2am, that the bed frame rattles.
Of course the standard hostel things apply. Snorers, drunken people coming in at 5am, creaky floorboards.
Ok for one night I suppose.

It is OK. It is old, but is kept very clean. Quiet. Near Gastown and not far from the cruise ship docks. OK for a night to catch your ship the next day.

The music and singing from the restaurant downstairs keep loud till 2am.

Though there would be more noise because there a bar under, but it was pretty quiet. The staff is friendly, there a kitchen to cook and store food. Close to a lot of bus and train. Love the experience, specialy for this low price.

There is no ac and no airflow. They don't even have fans available for the rooms. I woke up at 4am and it was 85 in the room with no airflow out the window at all. There were no fans when i asked and no help at all to get one. They didn't even refund the next night when i canceled the rest of my stay to move to somewhere else. On top of all that they don't even have locks to borrow or buy for the lockboxes for your things and the lock boxes are wire mesh so everyone can see what you have in there. If you want to see what sleeping in a prison is like, try this place.
The only consolation was the mattress was surprisingly comfortable.

Location was very convenient close to the tube station and lots of places to eat close by. Only gripe I had was the seagulls all hours

The stay was fine. It was the cheapest stay I could find for one night. The staff at the desk were super friendly and helpful, as were the staff who were cleaning in the morning. The only thing more annoying than the booming music coming from downstairs until 2am on a Tuesday was the man snoring all night (which isn't the hostel's fault, but a curtain for the beds might help a little). Do stay here if you are travelling on a budget and want a hostel in a great location with a great bar attached, with great staff. Don't stay here if you need a good night's sleep

Rooms are not air conditioned and the bar downstairs plays LOUD music on Saturdays until about 3am. The photos also make the place look a lot nicer and more inviting than it actually is. At the end of the day: it’s a hostel.

Great location next to the cruise port and Gastown. Easy transpiration to the airport. Super nice hotel desk people. I love thé cat on the first floor.

Place is badly in need of some repairs and upgrades
