We had an amazing stay at the National Hotel. We've always wanted to stay there when visiting family in Jackson but never able to. The staff were friendly and professional, the hotel atmosphere was great. You could really feel the 1852 vibe. The decorations and artwork was perfect. We can't wait until the lounge, bar and restaurant are remodeled and open. No real ghost stories to share, but there are old visitors for sure. It's centrally located in town, just wish Jackson was thriving with some business and restaurants nearby. Too many antique stores and closed shops in down town. My only recommendation is to have a nightstand on both sides of the bed and a shelf for toiletries in the bathrooms. Other than that, it's perfect! Thanks for being a great host Tamara! cheers.

It was nice. My reservation said King size bed but ended with a Queen. I guess i could have said something after checking in but we were only staying over night. The Queen was comfortable though.

It is a great place, depending on your what you are looking for. No microwave, refrigerator or gym. I needed a desk to do some work but there was none. Other than that, it is okay.

Our first time staying in Jackson. We love this town. The National Hotel was great. It was so convenient for visiting the antique stores and other shops. The staff was friendly and a continental breakfast was included. We will be back.

Amazing hotel, decor, and an even more amazing staff. Very comfortable and felt at home. I can't say enough about the staff who were extremely hospitable, attentive, and just beautiful people/personalities overall. Will definitely be staying again.

Great experience as if you were thrown back to the days of the gold rush. Highly recommend especially if you are in to nostalgia and antiquities. Price I felt was fair which is important to myself as a retiree. i dont understand why this place would receive any negative reviews.

Cool, historic hotel with some amazing details. I paid $100 per night for a twin bed room. If i had paid anymore than that, I would have been severely disappointed. For $100, it's adequate.
It needs renovating, updating, refreshment. You can keep the history and charm while still bringing it into the 21st century. Did NOT appreciate the christian TV station playing in the breakfast area. Incredibly inappropriate for a business, especially a hotel.
The receptionist on check in was rude, tired, and obnoxious.

Nice and quite setting. Beautiful old building.
Walking distance from all shops and restaurants (not many)
Breakfast was nice.
Only slight drawback is lack of close parking space. We parked in the street. OK

Holly at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the smell of the rooms and lobby; very rustic and seeing the old photos hanging in the hallways makes you see the history and how old this landmark is. Breakfast was great too with good choices

Love this place will be our go to when we visit Jackson. The only thing would be the pillows are too soft. Suggest maybe a firm & soft pillows in rooms. Not a bad thing just a preference.

Surprising good experience.
Was fascinated by the history of the hotel. Is an old hotel, be ready for aged carpets etc.
But, great value for money.
Heated bathroom floors was cool.
Very friendly staff !

It’s a small historic town, and the hotels are right in the downtown area and all the shops are Christmasy looking is absolutely beautiful. I’m very happy with this place. I give it five stars out of five. Thank you.

Nice hotel that is convenient in down Jackson. Rooms are small but cute with old fashioned decor. Large bathroom with heated floors. Nice breakfast included. It was our third time to stay and will definitely stay there again the next time we visit our family.

When we checked in to room #302 the mattress foundation was a sheet of oriented strand board and there was a hole in the plaster ceiling and wrinkled carpeting. Then it rained outside, and, in the room, The staff moved us to room #311 and the television didn't work, so they moved us once more. The next room nice. The breakfast was abysmal.

We had a wonderful first time stay at the Jackson. We will return.

Extremely thin walls. Rooms were ok but the excessive noise at 4am and 5am was not controlled by front desk. Also, they advertise that there is a bar/fill restaurant on site, but it has been closed for some time, so that is false advertising

Very nice hotel. Excellent food. The only down side is that you have to walk a bit to the parking structure but I would stay there again if I have another trip to the area.

So very charming....absolutely loved the decor. Only thing I'd like is a full-length mirror somewhere and a desk. But, truly this place is wonderful.

Incredibly restored hotel built in 1852 brought back to its original luster. Friendly staff. My room did not have a bath tub. I asked the lady at the front desk(tamara) if i could get room with a tub a she upgraded me to a room with a JACZZI tub at no upgrade fee. I would highly recommend this hotel to any to anyone traveling to the foothills.

Accommodations were pleasant but we did experience a glitch with the HVAC system. Our room would not cool off even being set at 68°. Heat kept going on to 80°.
