Amazing

Nice friendly people.

No carts available. Which limited my abiĺity to get to any activities going on that weekend. Or to drive around the property. Without transportation there was nothing to do.Found the weekend boring.

This property was really unique. Great for a family with pets. Really enjoyed our stay and wish we had more time.

The overall condition is ok. But since the property is very old, you will expect some dust, bugs and smoking smells. The furnitures are very old, and some equipments may not work properly. But it is a good quality vs price for a big family.

Well I had heard good things about basswood. I rented a cabin, I barely happen to accidentally get the bring your own sheets, pillow cases, ect. There was no TV, no stove, no bathroom, no sink. The bed had burn holes from cigarettes in the mattress cover. There was only one queen bed, and two bunk beds, nothing was comfortable. No chairs to sit in. I wouldn't say anything, but I am in need of a heart transplant which I'm waiting on, all I wanted was to get away from home to fresh air and away from the City. It had two air conditioners in it, but neither one worked, I got so hot I couldn't even make it for an hour my heart went into A-fib and Vtac. I brought the key back to the office and told the lady at the check in what was going on. I was offered no other room period I was only in the park for less than a hour and a half tops I didn't even get my $50 deposit back yet it that was Friday night. I'm not mad only very disappointed, I know I am no body anyway but I just wanted to enjoy a day or two, I only live day by day, never knowing if I will even get the blessing of waking up the next morning. I'm not wanting anyone to feel sorry for me and I apologize if I accidentally offended anyone. I only wanted to get away from home and try to live for a couple days stress free, but even that was taken from me. Anyway I don't know if I would ever come back there again but I will not put them down, it's just I will find a real place to camp. Anyway bless you for reading this.

My boyfriend, his daughter, and I stayed in one of their cabins. The cabin was clean, had great air conditioning, and a mini fridge. They are very upfront with you on here that you need to provide your own linens and towels, or they will charge you for theirs. What they did not say is that you don't have a bathroom (NO TOILET) in your cabin. We had one of their two room cabins. Their bath house was very clean, but I wish they would have said that we would have to share a bath house with other cabins.

This was the worst experience I've ever had camping. Had to clean our fridge out. They say they got hot water in the shower houses and they don't it's ice cold. Staff is rude.

We enjoyed our stay at Basswood resort. We stayed in a deluxe 8 person cabin. The cabin wasn’t the cleanest, but it wasn’t horrible. There were crumbs and food wrappers in the pull out couch bed (Not ours. Ew!) and some of the “clean” dishes in the cabinet had a greasy film on them. Be careful about leaving crumbs anywhere in the cabin because the ants were plentiful. The A/C in the cabin worked great though which was so helpful when staying in mid July! Also, given the proximity to the airport, there are loud airplanes that fly over frequently. Overall, we had so much fun during our time and would stay here again. It would be nice if the pool were a bit larger or if they had a second one? Lots of people wanting to use a small pool is kind of annoying when it’s too hot to do anything else outside. 👍

Great family getaway! Cabins were so clean! If your in a sleeper cabin don’t forget your linens and the walk to the bathroom isn’t too far!

The staff interaction on a daily basis was wonderful however the unit itself was poor. It had rotted wood, and damaged doors (holes, cracks). You also have to bring your own linens for beds and bathing (which was not shared when booking on expedia). I never received a call, email or letter and I booked more than 30 days in advance. You will also need to bring your own soap, shampoo, etc. When you rent a unit, (of any type), you expect the above items at the minimum. The pool was very foggy and you couldn't see the bottom so it appears the chemicals were not correct. The pluses are the staff was very friendly and helpful and they have many things for families to do together. In addition they have a well stocked general store.

The room advertised having a fire ready out and there was no way to have a fire. Also they said the room has stove tops. I brought tons of campfire and stove top food. Couldn’t make anythnig because it wasn’t accommodated.

We had a great relaxing time. Just a get away.

Especially enjoy the fire pit/patio area…& the jacuzzi in the suite…& the 50” tv with such an extensive viewing selection! (Unfortunately the mattress was overly soft & lumpy as well…) Always appreciate the in room coffee, microwave & refrigerator…

Very nice and quiet place to get away

Outstanding for the price point. Our jacuzzi suite was only $60 for the night. Room was enormous and comfortable. It ain't the Bellagio, but it's nice enough and clean. Not the easiest to navigate at night - we weren't sure where to go. They left our room key (actual key) in an envelope at the little store, which is also the front desk and the pizzeria. It was closed by the time we got there. It's also super dark and creepy driving to this place at night. It's literally in the middle of nowhere. In the morning, there are tons of things that are fun to do on property - axe throwing, bounce pillow, shuffleboard, tether ball, cornhole, etc This place is a million times better than any other hotel we would have booked for a similar price. I would rather stay here than a Hampton inn or something like that which would be twice the price. Highly recommend

Beautiful camping resort with friendly staff and a fun activities for the whole fam. Cabins are cute, albeit in need of some renovations.

We had such a great time here. There was lots of family activities. Theres an outdoor pool, bounce pillow, an activity center with a variety of games. A cute counrty store and everyone was so nice! We stayed in an 8 perosn cabin. There were 3 lakes within 100 feet of our cabin. Will note do bring your towels and bedding

This place is pretty awesome :) lots to do, everyone is really nice. There are lots a fishing lakes and the area is clean.

Nice cabin for a campground. Tons to do with families. Not many options for dining, so bring your own. But the pizza shop is amazing!

Great find. A little out of the way, but worth it. Large room, a little dated, but comfortable.

Stayed in a cabin. Not modern but very functional. All the necessities. Kids enjoyed the loft. Tried the pizza shop on-site. Very good. 2 outside play areas for the kids. Plenty of trails,paths, roads to walk.

It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at. And will definitely stay again. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Older building, but very clean. Off the beating path, but nice and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

The property was fabulous. The staff were friendly and considerate. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this place.

$15 fee to check in one hour early? In the off-season? Really? Otherwise, if you stay in a cabin with a rustic cabin mindset, you should be fine. Don't expect fancy. I was glad that I read reviews first so that we would know to bring linens. A few minor issues with the cabin, but for the price, we actually might stay there again.

This was a nice cabin and very reasonable (course of season). We had a bathroom sink faucet that was attached to the sink. We brought it to everyone attention right away and every day (4 days) there after….. never was fixed. They weren’t busy just not fixed…. It was looked at but not fixed. The grounds were pretty with a lot of history. I’m sure this is busy during “the on season” reminded us of a Yogi bear campground with what looks like activity for kids.
