Just not enough staff on - check-in painful !
4.0
Our booking requested, a queen bed, non-smoking on a high floor. A 2nd floor room was offered (out of 7), they said they were unable to help.
Reception are painfully slow, with a few guests in a queue staff seem in no hurry, leaving the desk or otherwise busy.
Location excellent, it is quiet, but close to all the hustle and bustle, entertainment and sights to see of Dublin.
The outside entrance is not easy to identify with smoky glass windows you have to buzz to gain entry - confusing on arrival, definitely could be better signposted.
Signposting in the corridors could also be improved as the internal corridor doors or to the lifts look very similar to the guest rooms adjacent to them. The fire doors are unnecessarily stiff.
Lifts are very slow and you can wait 3 or 4 minutes to use one. Use the stairs and the door at the bottom is locked.
The room itself was modern clean and functional. Large TV, safe, tea/coffee making facilities, a nice bathroom with liquid soap and body lotion and a large powerful hot shower, with shampoo and conditioner too. There is no hanging space or drawers. A hairdryer and 3 good mirrors are provided. Aircon, good duvet, but pillows uncomfortable.
Breakfast was good, lots of choice, good coffee, cooked breakfast, cereal, meats, cheese, croissants, danish, toast, plus waffle makers too. No fried eggs though just scrambled.
On the whole new building, great location, modern with good facilities, just a few things take the edge off.

When we checked in she mentioned we had a twin room, when we said that it should be a king she corrected and gave us key for room 211. When we opened door to our room we found it was already occupied! We went back to reception, and after explaining the embarrassment of this we were ‘upgraded’ to another room and given 2 drink vouchers. Our new room 405 was a queen bed so not really an upgrade but we were too tired to ask to change again. The rest of stay was OK, except for the 6am fire alarm on the 2nd morning. One of our friends on our trip had requested an accessible room as he is in a wheelchair, even though the room itself was open plan getting to the room meant going through 3 doors from the lift which he was unable to do on his own. He also had to deal with his wet room drain being blocked and flooding his room. Also 2 weeks after trip we are still waiting for our deposit to be refunded.

Lovely hotel with everything needed in a central location while also being quiet. The only improvement would be an espresso coffee machine in the room and/or more tea options

This was a very busy hotel. It was very crowded during the time we were there.
The rooms are very small- suitable for a couple or single but not suitable for family. The "family room' included a double bed (not queen) and a "sofa bed" which was a low to the ground futon. When the sofa bed was open there was not room to have 2 suitcases open.
Be forewarned that the Hotel bases your reservation on the # of people on the reservation and not the room type you request. I don't know if this is an Irish or European method but the front desk staff was very argumentative did not want to allow the "sofa bed" to be made up for 2 adults who did not want to share a double bed. It did not help that the rooms were not ready at check in time.
On the positive, the included breakfast was very tasty and nutritious. Also the staff were flexible in allowing the children in our group to nap in the lobby while we waited for our rooms to be ready.

Due to a flight cancellation we arrived a day late. The hotel was excellent, keeping our rooms ready after I contacted them to explain our no show on the first day. Hotel is perfectly situation to explore Dublin. Reception area is large and modern. Rooms good size, well equipped and extremely clean. Buffet style breakfast gave a wide range to suit all tastes. Staff very helpful and friendly. If your visiting Dublin this would be an excellent choice of hotel. 10/10

I booked this for three nights for anniversary. Was meant to have a queen room which I had paid upgrade for and got a double. No conditioner, toilet rolls not replenished. Both I had asked for at reception. Bes uncomfortable. Saving grace was breakfast. Did not even get a thank you for staying with us at reception just an ok when checking out today

The hotel was situated well within walking distance of all major attractions. It has a tram stop nearby. Breakfast was hearty and plenty of it. Felt security was good as rom keys were needed for lift etc. Staff friendly and helpful and the room was absolutely perfect for a two night stay, with a comfortable bed!

The hotel is located a few stops tram stops away from Dublin Heuston train station. It's a few minutes walk from the Temple Bar area as well as other popular shopping district. An all around site for tourist attractions.
The area feels safe but the hotel is very secure with key card operated front door, key card operated lifts as well. The reception area is always manned and there are plenty of CCTVs in the hotel.

Room was excellent and the breakfast fantastic. We had a great time in Dublin and the hotel was perfect. Just booked the Guinness tour through Expedia and Expedia made a right mess of it so if booking the tour book direct with Guinness.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hampton Hilton in Dublin City. Our plane arrived at 4:30 am and they graciously let us check into our room early. The included breakfast was fantastic, lots to choose from and the location was perfect. Just out side of the city noise yet an easy walk to everything.
The staff was top notch, friendly and knowledgeable.

absolutely terrible, first the heating in the room would not come on complained twice, they kept on saying we have sorted from our end, room was cold throughout the night.
then moving on to the shower they gave us a room for a person with disability needs, (don't have a problem with that) when you come to use shower the water flow ended up flooding the bathroom, so my wife would not have a shower as it was all flooded, made manager aware of problem but it was to late as we were only there for one night.

Helpful friendly staff, well maintained, good breakfast options

Easy check in. Full bar downstairs. Small rooms , but manageable and good water pressure in the showers. The breakfast was wonderful and had vegetarian and vegan options (don’t worry , plenty of meat , too!). Closer to the side of town where Jameson factory is, and a little further away from city center / temple bar - but still a walkable distance for most.

Very close to the Temple bar area which we really enjoyed. The hotel was so close we took a Ricochet to our hotel. Very fun ride and a very nice driver.

Good location right on the tramway, wonderful front desk employees happy to fulfill anything we asked for, luggage storing while off on tour, and after travelling around the country staying in quaint B&Bs a large, clean room with a large walk-in shower was very welcome. Only drawback - no porridge at breakfast.

It was a very nice building and rooms. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable and tasty. The front desk was less than courteous. Their manner was to answer your first question and move you on. They seemed to do well with 45 yo or less. Its unfortunate that reception doesnt connect well with older guests.

Very modern. Excellent included breakfast. Quite impersonal. Location okay.
