THE SANDY OWL AT HOLMES BEACH Part of the Beach Townhouses complex, #107 The Sandy Owl sits directly across from Manatee Beach and the Beach Café - imagine yourself just 200 steps from white sand, gorgeous sunsets, toe-tapping music, lively tiki bar, and all you can eat pancakes! Or choose to watch the sunset from the main floor screened lanai under the ceiling fan or go al fresco on the balcony upstairs off the master bedroom. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhome was recently redone with granite counters, new cabinets and sandy-toes friendly flooring throughout. The half-bath downstairs is a real plus, as are the comfy bedding, tons of closet space, in-unit washer and dryer, and funky island art. A sleeper sofa means you can have additional guests visit your temporary home in paradise! The complex has a pool for days when the beach isn't calling, or you can walk to shopping at Publix, CVS, and Alvin's then stop to savor a treat from Cupcake Delights, grab a burger at Skinny's or some of Solo's delicious pizza - all without getting in your car. Hop on the free trolley or walk along the shoreline to the shops at Bridge Street or Pine Avenue. Try the Charlie's Treat at Waterfront and the Seafood Roll at the Beach House. Don't miss the Coquina Beach Market on Sundays for some fun finds of your own! Rent a boat or take a sunset cruise on the Anna Maria Princess paddleboat. Spend time at the beach searching for the perfect sea shell or plop down in one of the provided beach chairs and stick your toes in the sand. Not the cleanest place we stayed. Very noisy at intersection of 1 of 2 places to enter island. Grill was a complete mess.

Condo was well stocked with linens, towels, kitchen items. Location was great--close to beach, restaurants.

A beautifully appointed Condo located directly across from the public beach and the stop for the free trolley. Internally it is furnished to a very high standard with all of the equipment and supplies that you require. I was concerned about the possible noise from the public beach and the traffic, but they were not an issue. Externally the complex looks a little tired and dated - nothing a coat of paint wouldn’t fix, and a gas BBQ would have been a nice addition - only reasons for not getting 5 stars! I will certainly be back

Thiis was a perfect location and we had an awesome time, however, the cottage itself could have used a little TLC and some updates.

Loved the location. Been coming down to Annamaria Island for years. Across from one of the best beaches on island short bike ride to a wonderful natural preservation area. Lots of room in unit. Owners have thought of everything..beach towels..chairs...etc etc.Pool was heated....fantastic spot
