8 / 10Excellent·Jul 2026
If you want a budget hotel very close to the train station this is a good choice. The room was tiny, lots of noise from the street, trains, and children running around the hotel until late. The shower door wouldn’t close leaving water all over the very tiny bathroom. We stayed two nights and the room wasn’t cleaned during the day so I had to ask for towels at the desk. Breakfast was OK. But we could have done worse.

Room was spacious enough, comfortable beds, the room was tidy.
The bathroom needs a deep clean and the wash-sink area needed maintenance. The room was also stiflingly hot at times.
The staff were great, friendly and helpful. There was (unbeknownst to us at first) free coffee to go from the breakfast room.
Superb location, you will not find a closer hotel for HBF or (even better) the Lufthansa Express coach for the airport.
Decent value, all considered - just needs a little TLC.
