Had a wonderful 3 night stay, room was spacious and comfortable. Common areas were clean, beautiful and relaxing. Being off season it was fairly low occupancy. Location was excellent, walking distance to Main St

The only thing that could make it better would be coffee in the room and/or into the afternoon in the lobby.

Very clean and great view from my room: very modern with a nice Scandinavian style decor ,
suggestions for improvement; the bar only opens at 5 pm:(, that may be late for some), there is NO food option in the hotel , at least I’d suggest to offer some appetizers,
the rooms facing sunrise should have a blackout curtain otherwise you wake up at 5am In spring-summer :(

Arrived to hotel and work was yet to be completed on the drive up entry so we pulled in and used the side entrance. What they have done is quite nice inside the lobby with a super cozy fireplace / quiet area. The attempt being made to make it look new was accomplished but still an old feel to the rooms and elevators, hallways. No one at desk at times, wanted a drink at the bar and no one was there around 830 and the entire lobby was empty. The "pull out bed" in the king junior sweet was a couple of couch cushions and certainly not worthy of being a bed. One of the rails on the cushions was broken so it was sliding around during the night. It was meant to sleep three but my 12 year old twins could have used a proper pull out bed. Again, all fixable. Just seems as though they are trying to cover up things to make it look new rather than truly make things new and fresh. As these hotel chains come in and want a piece of the action in the ADK they need to make sure they aren't just throwing around some pine and rustic trends and opening the doors. Proper painting, proper contract work. Proper flipping the hotels and making a worthy opening.

Close to main street on Mirror lake. Convenient, clean, and cozy. Under construction so a few setbacks such as the out of service elevator. Easy and friendly to work with, Hopefully will be back

Great location…Modern and clean…seems a few bugs to work out, but overall…good experience, would return!

Location in town was ideal - walking distance to everything. Parking upon arrival was easy (was over crowded later in the night). Check was quick and effortless. The lobby, public area was delightful (fireplaces, cozy nooks, reading library and a bar). The room was clean and looked exactly as advertised (Jr King Room facing the lake). The bed was comfortable but the walls are thin - could hear the neighbor's TV, morning bathroom routine. We traveled with a dog and it was a great place for him too! The whole facility was recently renovated and the elevator was out of service during our trip. Not an issue for us, but could be for others as carrying suitcase(es) up the stairs can be tricky.

The hotel is so neat! Clean and huge area that you can relax or play board games, enjoy coffee, tea or cocoa. So new!!! The receptionists were polite and extremely nice and gave us all kind of information! Made us feel at home. Bar attendant was also really nice! The views from our room
and lounge were amazing! Excellent!

I travel to Lake Placid to enjoy nature and skiing when there is snow. As a solo traveler, I appreciate the Bluebird and I can bring my small, polite dog.

There was a mistake when Expedia didn’t change the booking as requested but the staff at the Bluebird figured things out and we were able to have the junior suite we really wanted!!! Not only that, the view from our room was of the lake and the mountains!! The Bluebird is a beautiful hotel with a calm and serene vibe and the decor is stunning!! It was so wonderful walking back after a nice day out and getting to enjoy our little suite….the staff are friendly and welcoming and willing to accommodate. We thoroughly enjoyed our little getaway to Lake Placid!!!
Highly recommend the Bluebird!!!!

This property is still a work in progress. They have done a nice job redoing the rooms. The first room we had smelled like paint and was on the ground level. They switched our room to a third floor without the paint smell. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay!

The hotel walls are very thin. If you are not a heavy sleeper you will be up all night. I almost went to sleep in the car as we were near an outside door and heard everyone coming and going. There is not enough parking for all their guests so be prepared for that. The bar, pool and fitness area are not open yet. The manger is not kind or understanding. We had a family emergency and had to leave early after one day. He did not care and said we were out our money. He said he would not expect anyone to care about a family emergency if he had one. I understand we had to pay for the night we were not there but I asked for our pet fee back since there would not be a pet in the room and he refused that fee to be refunded. For a room that was $300 a night I expected a lot more. I would never stay again.
The only good thing I can say is the location is nice and it was clean as they remodeled.

We had a great view from our room. The gentleman at the front desk was very knowledgeable about the area and was- very helpful in pointing out places to see.

Nice clean room. Hotel is just opening. No working elevator, restaurant & bar not open yet, nice tv but no cable connection, no phone to contact front desk or housekeeping. This was not disclosed when we booked. Great location.

Elevator is not working. Just one computer/ laptop and not even a touch screen. No breakfast.

Recently renovated with all modern amenities and fixtures. Management was friendly and knowledgeable. We would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Lake Placid.

Not worth the hefty price. Between the broken elevator, no bar, no glasses/cups in the room, luke warm shower, and no safety latch on the door, this hotel was a far cry from being worthy of the high price tag.
