Located in Tybee Island, this lovely cottage for $570 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our newest Mermaid Cottage is a real treat! We are so happy to have Blue Haven Tybee to offer our Mermaid guests. Blue Haven Tybee is located directly on a Tybee tidal creek and offers guests a private dock house and floating dock. Can't get much closer to the water! Wake up to the sun shining on the water and have a cup of coffee in your private dock house. Watch for great blue herons, egrets, and flying fish. Experience the ebb and flow of tides. Take your paddle board or kayak out at high tide to explore Tybee's waters. The property has various seating areas including a deck, two screened in porches, the dock house, and the dock itself. There are living area/kitchen and bedrooms on both levels. Ground level furnished porch and upstairs furnished balcony. NOTE: THERE ARE NO INTERIOR/INSIDE STAIRS. ACCESS TO THE UPPER LEVEL IS BY COVERED EXTERIOR PORCHES/STAIRWAYS. ALSO, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LOCATION OF THIS PROPERTY IS ON A TIDAL CREEK/MARSH AREA. ALTHOUGH IT IS WATERFRONT, IT IS NOT ON THE BEACH. NOTE: PETS AND CHILDREN COULD ACCESS THE DOCK AND COULD REACH THE WATER FROM THERE. PETS/CHILDREN WILL NEED TO BE MONITORED AND NOT LET OUT ON THEIR OWN. The dock house has ambient lighting and three fans to keep you comfortable as you watch the sun rise or set. Build a fire in the fire pit or fish off the dock. Relax inside in one of the four soothing bedrooms or lounge areas with smart TVs and DVD players. Great for just relaxing after a day at the beach or skip the beach and lounge on the dock! Spent Christmas with the whole family here. Lots of room, like two 2 bedroom units one up and one down. Nice dock and boat house.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cottage had a few surprises. No inside stairs but connected by covered porches. No real problem but would have liked to know beforehand. Structure of cottage needs some reinforcement. Enjoyed marsh but ocean choice next time probably. Was too cold to sit on porches.

The house is charming, with a beachy vibe. Beds were ok & there was plenty of room. It was a short drive to the beach & restaurants. We did most of our own cooking as we have a group who likes to cook. The kitchen had everything we needed & the dock house was large enough for all 7 of us to sit & comfortably enjoy a meal & conversation. We’ve been friends since grade school & were overdue for a get together. It was a wonderful stay & I would definitely recommend 😊

There were 3 adults and 4 kids ranging from 10 to 16 and we had plenty of room. The house is comfortable and welcoming! I highly recommend!

Over all it was a lot of fun and the entire family enjoyed our stay. Our mattress was a little worn out and we had trouble sleeping because we kept rolling into the center. Other than that, the house was quite charming and the owners are wonderful.

I rented this house for my daughter’s Senior Year Spring Break. She brought 3 of her friends and they stayed in the downstairs apartment. I stayed upstairs with a friend of mine. It was perfect to be close but not smothering and to give them a little freedom with a safety net. Just perfect. The house was just as described and super clean. The porch was prefect for morning coffee and it was a great location.

This was very close to town and the beach. Had a great dock house although it was way to cold to enjoy. The owner met us for an easy check in process. Had a great time with the family. We would like to check out the house in the summer when it is warmer.

We truly enjoyed our time on this property. My husband and I stayed downstairs. Our adult children and their significant others stayed upstairs, allowing them some privacy. The dock house was the perfect gathering place for the whole family. Two things to know, the homes on either side of the property were closer than we thought from the pictures. The neighborhood is quiet, so it didn’t bother us. The second detail to note pertains to tall people. the ceiling on the first floor is low, especially the bathroom. Neither of these detracted from our visit - so we still give this property five stars.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Laura’s home. Upon arrival we were greeted by Joanne who gave us an overview of the property. The home was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and there’s great water pressure in the showers. This house has 2 floors, but you can only enter each from the outside. This wasn’t a problem for us, because my adult children had plenty of room in the lower level. There is a full kitchen in the upper level. The lower level doesn’t have a stove, but there is a microwave, toaster oven and refrigerator. I appreciated having use of the washer/dryer. We spent a lot of time in the dockhouse. It was a great place to eat together, play games and watch my youngest son fish. Lots of wonderful memories were made! My daughter was surprised by a proposal from her boyfriend on the trip. It was truly a wonderful week. I received a call from Joanne shortly after we returned home to let me know an earring had been found. She was nice enough to mail it back. I appreciated that kind gesture.

This property has two separate levels that are not connected except from the outside so your group will be separated. Also, there is a boat ramp on property that was not disclosed. This is a huge problem when it’s low tide and leaves the marsh with nothing but pluff mud especially when dogs are concerned. Couches are white and owner is VERY particular which caused extra stress with dogs. Another thing, bring your own towels. The owner supplied 3 beach towels for a party of 8 and she seemed upset that we washed her towels. Other than that we had a great time and enjoyed the Crab Shack down the street.

We had a wonderful time at this property. The Dock House is fabulous! We spent many hours in there relaxing and we enjoyed watching the tide come and go. Shocking - and fascinating - how much the water level changes! There was plenty of time around high tide to go out paddle boarding. The house is clearly a "home" and we enjoyed the inside as well. The stairs being outside was not an issue for our group. We did not use the downstairs kitchen, only the upstairs one and that one was extremely well stocked. Beds and pillows were comfortable and it is very clean. Check in was easy and owners were very responsive. We wanted a place to just relax and be together and this suited perfectly! We just loved the charm of the place.

This property is huge and beautiful! The two split floors with their own bedrooms and kitchen/kitchenette were great spaces to spend some alone time when needed, and the boathouse was a fabulous space to be together as well! The whole property was clean and beautifully decorated. Communication was easy and we had no problems at all. All in all, a fabulous stay!

Amazing stay on this awesome property. The dock house is fantastic. We had family dinners there, played games and enjoyed sunrises. Water views are beautiful. The two separate living areas were ideal for extended family and teens. Plenty of space for everyone. Beautifully decorated and super comfy. Location is awesome and close to everything.

We made a last minute decision to get out of Michigan cold, and found this cute place on VRBO. Tybee Island is an Eastern suburb of Savannah, and this place is on the west end of the island, so it was convenient to run in to Savannah for tours, shopping and dining. We also enjoyed the unique setting on a costal estuary with active bird life. The place was a great fit for two couples and a small dog to escape the cold and experience something new.

relaxing cabana and outdoor fire pit. white covered couches and chairs upstairs and down were a challenge at times with kids and dogs. I would return another time when it is warmer.

We absolutely enjoyed our time. The house was perfect for both us and my brothers family with plenty of space for all. The host and her family were both very accommodating and responsive. All in all we loved it.
