We loved this rental. Our grandkids enjoyed playing in the big yard. We had several activities we could do there including playing pool, grilling out, toasting marshmallows on the back yard fire pit, cornhole, etc. The property is very secluded and we occassionally heard golfers playing and could see them but only through a curtain of trees. We loved that it is close to the back entrance of the resort making it easy to cut through less curvy roads into Helen or elsewhere. The back entrance is also very close to Unicoi State Park that offers various trails, a playground and a huge view of the lake. The Anna Ruby Falls entrance is also very near to the back entrance. I was able to get a nice manicure/pedicure in the resort. The pool is small and located at the front of the resort and the kids enjoyed that as well. My favorite part of the trip was the relaxing isolation you felt while also being able to quickly join the activities of Helen just a few miles away. Helen has all sorts of restaurants and activities we enjoyed. There was a nice playground close to the entrance of the resort. We didn't get to do a lot of activities located very near to where we stayed so plan to go back with the family next year.

Don’t choose this rental based on the neighborhood as none of the Valhalla amenities are available to renters, even though this is advertised as such. The home itself is nice, a little more worn than pictures portray, but still roomy and comfortable. It appeared to have a fully stocked kitchen, although we didn’t cook. Linens and beds are nice. The downstairs had a strong pet odor and someone had groomed a dog in the back yard, even though it said no dogs allowed.
