Needs serious attention. Not a pleasant stay.
The location is great. You can reach downtown Helen but also can avoid the downtown traffic by taking the other entrance for the community on the other side.
The house has potential if taken care of.
We booked this property with another family to make this trip careless after tubing and fun in the area. When I got the booking instructions. I was shocked about the 5PM check in time. I contacted the host. She was so frustrated about the fact I only booked one night and ruined her chance of getting another person for the weekend. GI’m not sure how this is my fault. I explained for her we booked the house to be able to shower and get ready after tubing and 5 pm is just too late and wanted to see if we can get in earlier. She was not able to give me the information 2 days prior. She explained to me how it takes a long time to clean and get ready to the next guest.
Ok I understood. We managed our times differently for us to be busy until check in time.
When we got to the house, I was in shock. It was straight up not tclean. Every single bed or couch had stains of them and were hard as a brick. The pillows had mold stains. One of the beds legs were broken. Every chair has dust and crumbs on them. The table had dried up stains. A Cockroach in the bathrooms. The sign next to the dirty sink with the oldest sponge said 25$ fee for dirty dishes. Spiderwebs all over the beautiful window and it was also so dirty, we couldn’t even enjoy the view 🙃. Half of the patio furniture are rusted and full of stains.
It was not an enjoyable stay at all. The host doesn’t put any effort into making their guest feel welcome or comfortable. I wish I could post all the nasty pictures and get my money back.
