Mice problem

The room was well furnished, with enough towels

Unfortunately, a very poor experience due to a serious mouse problem. During my first night, I was repeatedly disturbed by mice scratching, moving around and squealing inside the walls. The noise was clearly audible from the apartment and made it very difficult to sleep. I recorded the sounds and contacted the owner immediately. The owner responded that there were no rodents inside the living space and assured me that the mice were confined to the wall cavity. He arranged pest control and initially offered me the option of cancelling the remainder of my stay. However, I was ultimately not provided with a refund that would have allowed me to move to alternative accommodation, so I stayed. Unfortunately, on the morning of my departure, I found an actual mouse inside the apartment, next to the shower, and took photos of it. This directly contradicted the earlier assurance that the rodents were confined to the walls and were not entering the living space. Being kept awake by mice scratching and squealing inside the walls was already extremely unpleasant, but finding a mouse inside the apartment itself turned this into a serious hygiene concern. Guests should not have to spend their stay listening to rodents at night and wondering whether they will enter the living space. While the owner was responsive and arranged pest control after I complained, the problem was clearly not confined to the walls and significantly affected my stay. Given my experience, I cannot recommend this property.

Bien
